"Oh..Relaxing is nice." She smiled and poked around at her food for a moment before she started eating again. She felt shy all of a sudden so she ate quietly, staring at her plate.
"If there was a spell like that George and I would have used it. Trust me. We asked Hermione that question a while ago." He pulled out a quill and some paper along with ink. "These aren't the exploding ones so don't worry." |
She sighed and settled down, taking a quill, writing down the prices.
"Uh.. we..... we could go to the clock tower...." |
Fred sat down next to her, getting his own pile of prices. "Do you want to grab something to eat after this? It should have given Harry and Mel enough of a head start to go do something."
"The clock tower?" She blinked and swallowed what she was eating. "That sounds nice." Mel smiled and set her fork down. "Ah..that hit the spot. I'm ready to go when you are." |
He smiled and stood up, waiting for her before heading to the door. "It might be a bit cold, cause there's no clouds out, but you can see the stars nicely from there..."
She laughed softly and nodded, scratching down the numbers as she looked around quietly. "If they don't kiss by tonight I'm stealing a love potion and slipping them both a heaping helping of it with their breakfast." |
Mel nodded. "Alright. I'd like to see the stars. That sounds nice." She smiled, rubbing her arms. "I'm sure it'll be pretty." She stood up and made her way over to him. "Let's go."
Fred lifted his hand and pointed. "We have a new shipment over in the aisle. I won't even charge you." He grinned. "Though you think that's a good idea? They are only the temporary ones." |
"It's clear they both like each other... they just need a... nudge... to get things rolling."
he nodded, grinning as he lead her through the passages towards the clock tower. |
"Aren't you afraid something would go terribly wrong and they could accidentally fall in love with someone else? That would cause a big mess and people's hearts would get broken and we all know that's bad."
She followed him closely, not wanting to get lost. She had seen the clock tower in how they showed it in the movies but she was curious to see if it was actually different. She looked around trying to remember the passage for later. |
"Well, if they're looking at each other when they take it it'll be fine... right? And there's an antidote for it anyway..."
He walked slowly, seeing her preoccupied with looking around. "Something wrong?" |
"We'll just put them in a room alone with each other. So that way we don't have to worry about anything going wrong..how about that?"
"Oh..n-no, nothing's wrong. It's just nice up here." She looked over at him and smiled, brushing some hair out of her face. |
She smirked "Sounds like a plan."
He nodded. "I come up here sometimes to think." |
He chuckled and went back to writing down prices. "You're certainly a little evil." He raised his eyebrow. "Are you sure you belong in this house?" He teased.
"This would be a nice place to think.." She placed her hands behind her back as she looked around. "It's really calm up here and pretty." |
"Maybe I don't, maybe I'm secretly a hufflepuff...."
He nodded slowly. "Y-yeah..." |
"Yes. Hufflepuff is very evil." He waved his hands. "Scariest house in Hogwarts."
She made her way over to the large clock and watching the second hand tick by. "Kinda relaxing.." |
"I know, but I defected and decided I wanted to be brave or something... really I just like lions."
"It is..." he watched her for a moment and quickly looked away, fidgeting nervously in the dark. |
"You're certain brave since you stood up to Malfoy..Though Harry does that too." He rubbed his chin. "Mel now too. There's going to be a line that forms up in front of him soon. We'll call it the 'Stand up to Malfoy' line."
Mel rubbed her arms and shivered a little. "Still kind of chilly out. Let's get hot cocoa after this." She turned around and smiled. When she spotted him she raised her eyebrow. "Are you alright, Harry?" |
She laughed softly. "Yes, eventually it'll work it's way up to doing rude things to Malfoy, ending with him in a dress... brilliant."
"You're cold? Here!" He quickly handed over his scarf. "M-me? I'm fine, totally fine. Yeah." |
"Then maybe we can start another line and call it 'Put make up on Malfoy' line." He looked over at her, grinning. "What do you think?"
Mel took his scarf from him and blinked."Thanks.." She looked over at him and crossed her arms. "Harry? What's wrong with you? You've been acting all weird." |
"Ooo, I like it... is there's such a thing as make up that never comes off? Ooo! Or ink... we can sneak into his room and draw things on his face... inappropriate things...."
"I'm not acting weird!" He coughed and looked away |
"Did I ever tell you how much I love you?" He laughed.
She walked over to him and stared up at him. "Really weird. Are you sure everything's ok?" |
She grinned. "Nope, but you could start..." She looked at the clock and frowned. "I bet he's being really lame right now..."
He backpedaled a little blinking at her. "E-everything's fine!" he coughed and looked up at the sky. "Look at those constellations!" |
"Lame? You talking about Harry?" He looked over at the clock. "He's probably nervous and just babbling or something."
She didn't move when he stepped away from her. "..." She tilted her head up, staring at the constellations. "They are really nice.." She wrapped his scarf around her neck, smiling. |
"Maybe I should grab a couple of potions, just in case..."
He nodded and stared up, his hands fidgeting slightly as his mind raced. |
"That's probably a good idea." Fred looked over at the clock. "How long do you think we should give them? Until they come back?"
She walked over to a balcony and leaned against the railing, staring at the stars. |
"Maybe we should go track them down and shove the potions down their throats..."
He sneezed, "I feel like someone's talking about me..." |
"Shouldn't we at least see if they got together or something? Are we just assuming Harry chickened out?"
"Are you sure you aren't cold? You can have your scarf back." She looked back at him from the balcony. |
