Lately, she doesn't know what's wrong with her -- she's been feeling pretty weird with no signs of a known sickness.

Alphonse peaked around form the black glassy corner that ended one of the many hallways that shaped the black castellated of Hades. In the darkness loomed beasts and monsters, none of which were exactly nice. Alphonse focused his attention to a giant chair made of animal and human skulls piled up against eachother. There sat the great high monarchy of the Underworld, and Alphonse's father, Hades.

Hades was a busy man as usual. He had a habbit of putting his work in heaps of piles that quickly consumed the glass floor. Hades wasn't very fond of work but he took it very seriously. Alphonse hated that about his father. It was work above all else and Alphonse quickly found himself getting lonely. But now his busy father was like a blessing. The man never even noticed Alphonse sneak out once. Alphonse smiled as he continued to his his way out, strolling down hallways before finally teleporting himself into the human world.

As soon as Alphonse arrived he was welcomed by the blazing red rising sun. His blond hair shined gold in the light and his brown and red eyes looked at the sky. To his delight the sky was blazing rose red with a mixture of yellow, gold, and orange. It was like the sky was on fire, and Alphonse loved fire. Alphonse looked around him happily as he studied the beauty and took it all in. Alphonse was surrounded by bright green grass that slowly curved bellow him to shape a tall hill. At the lowest point he could see a small town that he didn't exactly know yet. Alphonse wouldn't admit it but he wasn't exactly perfect at teleportation yet.

Curiousity hit Alphonse like a giant wave. He loved seeing new towns. If he went to one town too much they would find out he was immortal anyways. He liked to meet new people and discover new games. He loved such lovely places. Before long Alphonse was dashing down the hill side and he used the gravity to help him get a powerful and fast sprint. Once at the beginning of the seemingly beautiful town Alphonse couldn't help but smile. His eyes looked over a worn out sign, excited to be somewhere different.

"Welcome to Anderville."

"You're wrong you know," Gloria's best friend Heather said with a mouth full of cereal. Gloria just rolled her eyes, shaking her head. "Don't give me that look either. He's still staring at you." She pointed her spoon beyond Gloria, making her turn around to follow the direction.

She eyed the student teacher who's eyes abruptly averted away from Gloria. Her cheeks reddened, causing an uncomfortable feel to her skin. She didn't like it. When she used to blush, it didn't feel this uncomfortable.

Gloria turned around and scowled at Hearth. "I'm sure he wasn't staring. His eyes probably just fell on me. Who's he student teaching for again?" She picked at her salad. Lunch was almost over and she had hardly eaten a bite. She felt too uncomfortable in her skin to really want to eat.

"Mr. Garld. Duh." Heather had eaten the last bite of her cereal, crumpling her napkin up and dripping it into the square plastic container that her cereal was in. Next, she crumpled up the milk carton and tossed it in last, getting up and grabbing Gloria's untouched salad to throw away. She knew that Gloria hardly ate anymore. She used to ask questions about it, but now Heather knew better than to ask.

Gloria sighed and stared down at her schedule. Everything was mixed up because of it being the graduation test for the lower grades. One more period and she could leave for home. She just wanted out of her. She could shake off the discomfort.

When Heather returned, she caught Gloria fidgeting. "Hey, you okay?"

"Yeah. I don't know what's wrong. Maybe a bad flu coming on?" Gloria grumbled.

Heather shrugged, giving Gloria her pity look.

The rest of the day was just like that. Uncomfortable. Her last period flew by in a haze. Before she knew it, she was putting on her jacket and leaving the school, heading home. The sun was out, so she refused a ride from Heather, thinking that maybe the fresh sun after a long winter would help make her feel better.

For the rest of the day Alphonse wondered around, giddy with excitement. The town flowed with bright colors that reflected off light. The colors seemed to pull him in farther, embracing him in all sorts of new wonders yet to discover. Alphonse could hardly keep from jumping for joy as he pounced at anything he liked. Where he was, shops lined all the way south and north.

After peeking through windows and hours of walking Alphonse stopped infront of a grand building. It was big enough to fit in most of the town's people. He guessed that most had gone here so he quickly made his way inside. Once the door opened he discovered a diner full of people and the warmth seemed to pull him in.

The smell of freshly cooked food and people mixed in. There were lots who seemed to be enjoying their time eating, but most took notice to him. It made him feel special to get attention and strides up to the counters. There awaited the accountant punching numbers at a register. At first the man hardly noticed Alphonse, but he looked at Alphonse after a few moments.

"May I help you, sir?" The man offered, his eyes gentle from behind his glasses. There was a glint of curiousity in his pale blue orbs.

Alphonse smiled brightly before responding. "This is the first time I have been here before, but it's beautiful. I would love it if you showed me around a bit. You look like the type of man who knows his ways around. I tend to get lost though, so I would love a map aswell."

The accountant chuckled softly as he listened to Alphonse talk. There was something about Alphonse's seemingly innocent personality that everyone liked. The man turned to glance at an elderly woman wearing an old worn out yellow dress.

"Hey boss, looks like we got ourselves a visitor somehow. We should give him a proper welcoming, right?" The man looked back at Alphonse and extended his hand before adding "I'm Mark, by the way and our boss is Miss. Carry. She may not look like it, but she can give you a hard time so don't make her angry."

Alphonse took Mark's hand and shook it before responding. "I'm Alphonse, it's a pleasure to meet you."

Mark guided Alphonse to a seat and joined him as a few other boys came out from the kitchen. Each one gathered around Alphonse so there were a total of six boys gathered. They all tried to speak with Alphonse before being chased back into the kitchen by Miss. Carry. Then the women made her way over to Alphonse, studying him in a cold manner with her hazel eyes. Mark moved his black hair away as he waited for her to speak. The women set her gray hair upwards in it's bun as she looked at Alphonse.

"This child is bound by darkness. Go back to where you came from, before fate begins to stir. No, it's already probably began." Miss. Carry muttered coldly before she began to walk away.

Mark sighed, shaking his head. "Sorry about her, she is a women who always believed in superstitions. Don't take it too seriously and enjoy your visit." Mark smiled and walked out before returning with a map. After handing it to Alphonse he spoke again. "This will help you. I would show you the town myself but I have to work the whole night. Take care Alphonse."

Alphonse smiled greatfully as he looked at the map and had said thank you. The map was a small size and the markings were completely made of black ink. Alphonse carefully set the map into his pocket after folding it and left the diner.

Now the sun was setting so Alphonse made sure to get a better look at the map as he took it back out. He kept it unfolded in his hands as he followed the map from the market side of town to the houses. He kept his eyes on a building marked "inn" as he blindly walked forward. Before he knew it he bumped into someone and dropped his map.

"So sorry. " Alphonse gasped as he leaned down to pick up his map.

When he looked up though, he saw something wonderful. Looking at a girl seriously for the first time, his heart skipped a beat.

"You are beautiful." He spoke without hesitation, not even knowing exactly what he was saying.

Shiverpass 03-15-2013 11:19 PM

Gloria scowled as she adjusted her backpack on her shoulder. She couldn't wait to graduate from a place that gave her a little more homework than what would have been necessary. She stared down at her shadow as she walked across the concrete. She the looked up at the setting sun in the distance. She stopped before a crosswalk, waiting for the light to blink that she could cross. When it blinked, she walked forward. There was hardly a car on the road that day, which was odd, but not rare.

She pulled her light brown hair up into a ponytail, feeling lonely as it is. She wished she had someone to walk home with. She absolutely hated it that Heather was in so many different after school activities. It wasn't that way in middle school. Heather used to always have time for Gloria. Now, she seemed to busy trying to get "the perfect" scholarship.

When she felt a body bump into her, her backpack flew down to the bend of her arm, causing her to gasp from the sudden weight there. It burned her skin. She quickly readjusting herself, hearing the person who had bumped into her, a man, apologize. She shook her head as she made sure she had her balance before she took a step. "It's fine," she said sweetly before she looked up and caught eyes with the man.

He was...beautiful. He couldn't have been real.

What he had said next caused her cheeks to burn bright red, that discomfort finding its way back to her. She forgot about it just this once because this highly attractive man before her had just called her "beautiful".

"Thank you," she said with a small smile. You don't look half bad yourself, her mind quipped.

"I..." she paused for a moment, making sure she had her words all sorted out in her mind in case they'd come out in a mix of muffled noises like they did every so often when she wasn't thinking and a very attractive man was looking at her, "should have been watching where I was walking." The light from the setting sun that casted upon his face made him look heavenly.

She wanted to know this man.

AzuraX 03-16-2013 03:30 AM

Alphonse didn't even bother to fix himself as his red eyes gazed at the women before him. Then the warning from Miss. Carry whispered into his head but he quickly shook it off. There was no way he could be harmed by meeting someone new. It was better than meeting one of his father's newest creation, without a doubt.

Trying to think of something to say he shifted on his right leg. A part of him was full of embarrassment from calling her beautiful. She really was beautiful, and seemed amazing in the sunset. Without much thought he gently took her hand. Coughing and lifting her hand, he bowed and kissed her hand.

"It was my own fault, dear. My apologies, and it is my pleasure to come across a diamond such as yourself. My name is Alphonse Elliot and I am but a mere traveler bestowed in your grace." Alphonse spoke gently, his whole being passionate and caring.

Alphonse was nothing like his father at all. Most would think the son of Hades would be cruel and heartless, but that wasn't the case. No one even would begin to become suspicious because of his kindness.

Shiverpass 03-21-2013 06:19 AM

That man was clearly old-fashioned, which made Gloria flustered to the bone. She put the hand he left untouched to her cheek, unable to wipe the grin from her lips. "Oh my," she murmured more to herself than for him to hear. She had expected her skin to grow uncomfortable from where his lips had touched her skin, but she found herself shocked that it had the opposite effect. He made her skin tingle. Not in an uncomfortable way, but in a pleasing, innocent way. It got her confused. Anyone else who touched her had the other effect, which made her so wary of how close people got to her physically, a reason she refused to date.

Her mind clicked, in responding to his words automatically as words came pouring out of her mouth without any imperfection. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Elliot. My name's Gloria. Gloria Monaldy," she said in her voice she only used when she was responding to someone who was being kind to her. Kindness. That word rang through her mind.

But suddenly, she felt nauseous. It wasn't a surprise to her. She had been receiving waves of nausea here and there over the past week. First she thought it was the change in the weather. Then she thought she needed to get glasses. Then she thought it could have something to do with her new restless sleeping schedule. But nothing added up.

It never did.

She didn't want to make a fool out of herself in front of Alphonse, so she then gave him an apologetic face. "I'm afraid I have to go." She tried her hardest to hide the fact that she was getting seriously nauseous. "I'm expected, but it was a pleasure meeting you."

AzuraX 03-22-2013 04:54 AM

As Alphonse stood he smiled sweetly to her. "What a lovely name." He spoke honestly, repeating her name in his mind ad he smiled again. Behind his smile, his eyes stirred with excitement. Something about this girl had pulled him towards her. He was already driving mad with curiousity. Usually he had no interest unless it involved adventure or games. But now he couldn't seem to keep his eye off of her. The feeling was very new to him.

Before he had come here Alphonse was constantly seeking out any opportunity to have fun. He was the normal boy who just had a call for the wild. A lot viewed his thoughts as very childish, but he didn't care. He had missed out on his childhood, so he was simply making up for it now. That's why this was such a shock. This girl stood out like a dangerous hunt or a newly invented game. It thrilled him to the core just to look at her.

Suddenly his fun seemed to be crushed. He noticed her sudden change and looked at her worriedly. She didn't seem to be holding up well. He could just deny her though, it would be rude. He could tell she needed to head back but he couldn't just stand there and watch her suffer.

His next action surprised even him. His body moved without much thought or hesitation. He simply moved towards her and lifted her up in his arms. He held her so her knees were right ontop of his right arm and her upper spine was on his left arm. His had a stubborn look that showed he wouldn't let her down without a good reason.

"You are very pale and you looking like you could faint at any moment. I know I should probably stay out of the way but you look like you are about to faint. Please give me directions to your home so I can carry you there. Don't give me any lies saying that you feel fine, you aren't at all. Your body is burning up right now. It's almost like you are on fire or something."

Shiverpass 03-22-2013 06:40 PM

Gloria nearly yelped when the stranger picked her up bridal-style. It was so unexpected. But in a way, it was weird. If he were any other stranger, she knew well that she would have screamed for her to not touch her. But this man's embrace was inviting, something she hand't felt from anyone in such a long time. Honestly? She felt too sick to refuse his kindness. She could feel it as a sixth sense that he was being true to his word, no matter how this would have looked to her parents or her friends because they'd know she didn't know this man. She felt like she had, thought.

"I live at that big apartment building down the block," Gloria murmured unhappily as she pointed to the right of the sidewalk where in the distance, a very large and grand-looking apartment building protruded from the small shop buildings lining the sidewalk.

"Thank you," she then said as she felt her neck go weak and she had no choice but to lean her head against the crook of his neck. He smelled so sweet. She couldn't pinpoint his scent, but it must have been a mix of fruits and spice. It was so inviting. Her eyes closed as her head began to spin from the nausea. She groaned.

She crossed her arms over her stomach, willing the nausea to disappear. It had never been this bad before.

"I don't know what's wrong with me lately," she grumbled with a small, unhappy, pouting face. She meant it. She had gone to the doctors and they had told her there was nothing wrong with her, that maybe it was just the weather or maybe it was her menstrual cycle. Gloria knew better, though. Maybe what was wrong with her was something bigger than what anyone would know. "I was feeling fine earlier," she then added. She wasn't tired, but her eyes remained shut, feeling heavy against the fact her head continued to spin, a horrid headache building up. This was terrible.

AzuraX 03-22-2013 07:29 PM

Alphonse glanced towards the building she spoke of right away. He could tell she needed help right away. She looked like she was in so much pain to him. It made him hold tighter as he walked forward. Somehow he had to do something though. He couldn't just let her lay there in pain like this. His steps got slower as he witnessed her going through something clearly awful.

He didn't speak and just kept walking even though she had been speaking. It wasn't until "thank you." that he replied with a gentle "you are always welcome." But his gentle words was mixed in deep worry. He had been looking over her each chance he got while taking her to her home. His mind spiraled with mixed thoughts as he watched over her.

What could he do? That was the thought that seemed to weigh him down. But there was plenty of other thoughts too, like how beautiful she was, how worried he was, wondering why he felt this way, why he could feel his heart speed up when he lifted her up, why he was so embarrassed to carry her around this way. But right now the only important thing was her well being. Then he suddenly knew what to do.

At first the idea seemed perfect. It could help her better than the humans could, after all. Then he wouldn't have to worry like this and could simply watch her from a distance. He was used to doing this type of thing. Alphonse knew he couldn't let himself fall for a mere human... even one so beautiful. Even if it hurt, he wouldn't get attracted. After all love between an immortal and a mortal is "The Forbidden."

Now that he knew what he could do he stopped right infringe of the building where she lived. Okay, so maybe he was breaking a rule or two but it wouldn't hurt. In fact it would help her from getting hurt, at least for a while. Alphonse studied magic and knew he wasn't really allowed to use it on humans but he had to take the risk now. He set Gloria in front of her house carefully and used a spell that commonly countered fire, gentle water.

Water ran over her skin, seeping into her pours like magic. He sent it through out her body to the beat of her heart so it began to join in with her blood. He hoped it would work since he had scented fire on her before. The thought had come back to him and he quickly came up a spell to counter the scent. Now the smell of fire turned to that of ash and smock, and very slowly changed to the smell of fresh crystal water. Alphonse prayed that it would help as he waited to see how she would react.

Shiverpass 03-23-2013 05:38 AM

She groaned once set back down to her feet. She put a hand to her forehead, understanding what he meant when he told her she was burning up. She really was burning up and it suddenly frightened her. What if she was deathly ill? Her heart began to pick up at a rapid rate with her panic when suddenly, it slowed down and she felt a tingling within her body. her eyes went to his hands, her eyes going wide.

What was he doing? Was she hallucinating? Was she imagining this? Was the sweet, beautiful cooling feeling she felt skin deep just something her mind was playing tricks with her with? She let out a slow, relaxed breath as her eyes closed.

Was it true? Those stories of fairy tales, princes, wizards, and witches? Of unicorns and true love? Those questions scurried through Gloria's mind as her eyes slowly looked up at the beautiful man.

"What did you just do?" she asked, suddenly nervous. She didn't know whether to freak out, be fascinated, or pretend that that had never happened, still unsure of whether or not it was her imagination. She felt...she felt comfortable for the first time in forever. It was a miracle.

She looked down and ringed her hands together, expecting the uncomfortable feeling of skin on skin, but finding just the touch of her skin against her own skin. All nausea, headaches gone. She smiled.

AzuraX 03-24-2013 03:04 AM

Alphonse sighed in relief as he watched hid magic slowly work on her. He didn't know how long it would last, but it helped her a lot. He didn't even think about it. He just let his magic work through her like hydro cooling power. He didn't hesitate but now he did. Once he noticed just what he had done, he knew he wad in trouble. Explaining it would be the hardest thing to do.

He wasn't sure at all now. He had been so confident before but now it simply backfired. Still, he didn't regret it. Seeing her feeling so much better made him happy. Though now he didn't know what to do. Could he really just tell her the truth? That he was Hade's heir to the throne? That he was prince to the monster filled Underworld? He would sound insane. He took a Derp breath and sat down in front of her.

"I am not like you at all, in any way what so ever. You have probably only heard of my kind in legends and so called myths. But the thing is, they were never myths. Atleast some of them weren't. I am an immortal being, someone who can control the elements at will and shall never die. That is why I constantly travel. If I stay in one place for too long people will find out I am immortal. But there is also another reason. I can never let my father discover what I sm doing. I don't want to even say his name because he could find me that way. What I just did, you have to swear to keep it a secret. I will keep helping you when you feel sick but you have to keep silent. Can you promise me that?" He looked at her, putting all his faith in her.

Shiverpass 03-24-2013 06:31 AM

Immortal kept ringing through her mind over and over again until she blinked, her mind finally beginning to register everything Alphonse had just told her. To any other person, that would have just been assumed to be a big mind-trick, impossible and just an illusion. But somewhere deep down inside of Gloria, she knew it was no mind trick or illusion. She really did feel better. He really did help her. He really was immortal.

She felt crazy.

But maybe with everything suddenly happening to her all at once, it was just her over-reacting.

"You have my word," she found herself saying. She then shook her head, blinking. "So...w-what are you? Are you an Angel?" That was it. He must have been an Angel. He seemed so perfect and kind...was he her Guardian Angel? She always used to believe she had one...or would have one. This could be him.

((Sorry for the short reply, I honestly didn't know what to add on to it.))

AzuraX 03-24-2013 10:23 AM

It almost took very ounce of Alphonse to tell her everything. He discovered he was shaky from using so much power to help her. He sat himself by her side, trying to regain his energy. The only problem was it seemed to refuse him and he knew what he needed. He glanced at her just as she asked another question.

His heart sunk at her next question. He was hardly an angel, in fact he was considered to have the demon blood of his father. But who was he going to explain this? Not only was he a God, but the heir and son of Hades. He was bound to the Underworld, no matter how much he hated it. He would rule over it someday even if Hades had to chain Alphonse to the throne chair to get him to do it. He sighed as he thought about it and gently took her hand in both of his.

"No... I am nothing even remotely close to a angel. I'm in a much higher rank than a guardian of this world. They can only do so much, and they can only save humans by giving that human their life. It's completely sacrificing themselves for someone else. I don't need to do such a thing unless the injuries are too major for my power along. But I have no doubt that I would give up my life for someone else if I could." He spoke gently, slowing his final answer.

"The truth is, I am a God. I guess you could consider me even a king, since I will be one. But the thing is I don't like it. That life of making orders all day and sitting in a throne chair all day doesn't call to me. I want to adventure and play games. I love the human world. That's another issue, my dad hates it. He hates anything to do with happiness and well being. I could never be like my father. His name is one I can't speak out loud, but I can tell you he is the very God who rules the Underworld." Alphonse didn't away for even a moment. He told her the full truth, hoping he might still have a chance.

Shiverpass 03-25-2013 01:07 AM

Gloria sat herself down on the step, tightening her jacket around her as she began to feel just how cold it was outside. She welcomed it. She watched Alphonse as he spoke, slightly moving away from him as he sat down beside her. Regardless of how the...immortal...had been holding her moments ago, she still wasn't used to close contact. But she instantly forced herself to just relax, enjoy not feeling sick, and listen to the immortal.

So he was a God. A demon God maybe? She knew there were bad Gods out there. She read about them in all those Gods and Goddesses books she used to read all the time around the time when she was in Middle School. Even though those were the "dark ages" for her, she knew she had been right to read them. "Better to be in touch with both reality and myth than just reality. You never know what's real." She always liked to think of that saying as something of the utmost truth.

"So...you're a God...and a king from where you're from...and you're unhappy there..." she was talking aloud, more as a way of her thinking as her mind registered everything he had just told her. "But there's nothing good about the human world," she muttered next. She shook her head and uncrossed her arms, hooking her index fingers in the tops of her boots as she lent forward. "If you're so bad, why have you been so kind to me?" she asked next, a rather confused expression on her face as she furrowed her eyebrows and gazed up at Alphonse.

Suddenly, she felt lucky. A demon God had just attended her, he was at her aid, he made her feel better, he was being kind to her. Not just lucky, but she was excited. Suddenly, she burst into excitement, visible now. "Oh my gosh what else can you do!"

AzuraX 03-25-2013 05:41 AM

Alphonse looked off after his full confession. He waited for something to happen. It was as if his father could appear any moment. He could feel panick set it as he counted seconds before they turned to minutes. Only after a count of at least twenty did he finally relax. He was glad that speaking of his home world was not enough, but it seemed like forever before his heart settled down to match his mood.

"All is correct, my lady. I might sound crazy to you, but it's all true. I grew up in the darkest parts of my world. Everyone expected me to take after my father and rule over monsters that roam the worlds. But that is not exactly what happened. At first I was the perfect boy and my father was proud of me. But he grew distant after my mother died. Slowly I began to blame him for my loneliness and the death of my mother. I used to hate him to the deepest and darkest parts of my heart. But that all changed with something I can only call fate." He sighed gently as he began his tale.

It was easier to explain it fully, but he knew it may take time away. He glanced at her, his eyes growing red as the time slipped away and his blonde hair had been shifting to a darker color as the day light began to slip away. Now his hair was brown and growing to a dark brown before her. He moved in closer, gently touching her cheek. He wanted her to know that she had no need to be a afaird. This change was natural and his skin color was also getting paler.

"What changed me was thanks to my sudden spark of power. One day I was very upset after my father spoke about marriage to another women he knew behind my back. I overheard and the next thing I know my powers are out of control. I wasn't able to handle using so much at once and slipped through a portal before passing out in a meadow. When I awoke I was alone in a strange cottage and very confused. The owner of the cottage, named John, took care of me since I was wounded from my magic. I told him everything and he believed me too once I showed him what I could do. After that we became best friends and everything changed. Discovering this world saved me from becoming evil like my father. I owe everything to John and I promised him that once he was gone I would discover more of the world for him. To this day, I have kept that promise." Alphonse smiled even now when he thought of his old best friend, speaking much happier about the good times and speaking bitterly when it came to his father.

She watched as Alphonse tensed up, as if he was suddenly worried about something. That made her worry as well. Had she said something wrong? Or completely inappropriate? When she watched him relax, she relaxed too.

She sat there, watching him as he spoke of his father, where he came from, fate...and then she noticed something changing in him. Maybe it was his eyes, or his hair. It was both, she decided whens he realized his eyes had become red and his hair had turned to a brown. At first it frightened her. What if he was some crazy demon plotting to kill her?

When he touched her cheek, her heart skipped a beat, her breath catching in her throat at the gesture. It felt so personal and innocent. And then she heard him speak of his friend John. How sad...but noble. Alphonse was noble, she decided.

"So you're like a...rogue demon?" She smiled at the thought of that. Some that's supposed to be bad, that feels completely good. The opposite of anything rogue in general, she thought.

Suddenly, she noticed something about herself. The discomfort was slowly creeping up on her again. She felt uneasy as she turned her head from him and looked forward. She breathed slowly, trying to focus on her breathing. Sometimes if she breathed deeply and slowly, she would feel better. But it usually just did nothing for her.

"I hope you settle down for your own life one day," she said to him as she got to her feet, a little wobbly until her hand reached out and latched onto the hand railing of the steps. "Maybe we can talk again sometime? I'd like to learn more about you," she said innocently as she looked towards the doors to the building. "I'd better go up. I have homework I need to get out of the way if I want to pass my math class." She smiled at him after saying that. She hated math and thought it silly to have to do work for it, but she wanted to graduate and to do that, she needed to pass that class.

As the sun set his hair became black as night and his eye were now completely red. He sighed as he looked at his form, expecting her to be scared. He was surprised by her reaction and smiled a bit. He kept his gentle look even though he had a much more demonic style and aura.

"You aren't scared? Well.... I guess you could say I'm a tamed half demon. My mother was a beautiful one, and very strong. I always wondered how she could die so easily after she showed such independence. I always wanted to be just like her, even to this day. She was different from the others. She was so beautiful and she held an adventurous personality." Alphonse sighed happily as he thought about it. He got up when Gloria did, offering help.

"I hope you continue to feel better. You should probably get that pain check out by an elf. Human doctors are useless, but an elf knows even the most complex of wounds and sickness. They are deep in the forest though, so it won't be safe to go alone. I'd love to help you get there faster. As a God I can teleport to anywhere, well not perfectly yet but I can get us close." Alphonse smiled as he watched her off and went his own way.

Now that he was alone again he headed to the inn he was seeking. He soon came across an older western styled hotell and entered after he worked a bit of magic to make himself look normal. He quickly went to the counter and got a key to his room, making his steps as fast as he could. Once in his own room the normal look disappeared and he sighed in relief. He hated that his spell only lasted so long after twilight hours, but there wasn't anything he could do. He locked the door and covered the windows before he rested on the bed. Unlike human Alphonse didn't need sleep so he ended up turning on the Tv and watching it on low volume for the rest of the night.

Where would I find an elf? Gloria wondered as she headed inside, up the stairs, to her apartment. It was empty as she had expected it to be, assuming her mother was either out working or on her way home. It was late, so it could probably mean that her mother would be working over night. Feeling too sick to deal with homework, she pushed it aside and took a long, hot bath, tumbling into bed shortly after without making herself dinner. I'll eat breakfast tomorrow, she promised herself.

The next day, she had found herself waking up with a heavy shake of her shoulders. Her eyes opened, groggily, to looking up at her mother, who looked like she had just got home.

"You're supposed to be in school," her mother murmured. "Should I call the doctors?"

Gloria groaned as she sat herself up. She felt worse. But besides feeling worse, she felt suffocated, like the air in the apartment was too stuffy. She looked over at her alarm clock and saw the time. One-o-three. "I needed sleep badly," she said in a tone that her mother instantly believed. It was no lie either. Gloria had felt exhausted. "I think I need a walk," she said as she pushed the covers off of her and got to her feet. She had a terrible headache, but at least she wasn't dizzy.

"Okay...but you're not allowed to leave this apartment until you've eaten something," her mother said sternly, following Gloria out the door.

"Fine."

After Gloria had eaten a simple peanut butter and jelly sandwich, she had gotten dressed into some sweats and left the apartment. The sun was high in the sky and the air was fresh. It smelled sweet and it instantly made Gloria feel a bit better. She walked to the park, finding a bench and plopping down on it, She watched the breeze make the leaves of the trees sway.

Alphonse found himself turning the Tv off. He wasn't really in the mood for the junk that seemed to constantly play on the screen. So instead he layed there and closed his eyes, making up things in his head. He could think of all kinds of things around this time, stories, plays, songs, and even inventions at times. He would let his mind wonder and slowly create it's own little world.

Sometimes when Alphonse got curious on how it was like to dream he would make up some of his own. He could make them playful and innocent or even a little sad. He thought of his home when it came to nightmares. After all, the Underworld was full of that. Demons, monsters, the undead, the lost, and the suffering. Restless souls would wonder through the Underworld in hope of escape, but their hopes are mere illusions. Once a soul is within the Underworld it can never be free of it.

After a long time of thinking Alphonse began to feel his body transforming. He sat up to greet the sun and smiled as he returned to his innocent human form. He brushed out his golden locks as his emerald eyes looked around. He quickly dressed himself for the day and went out of his room, locking the door behind him.

Since Alphonse had some adventure yesterday he now had other plans. He wanted to visit places and maybe even buy a couple items. Heading out of the inn he skipped down the road in his black jeans and white shirt. A black ty swayed from under the collar as he wondered around. As usual Alphonse was full of energy. He greeted anyone he passed by and stopped by a couple shops to peek inside.

As Gloria walked, she smiled a little. Yes, fresh air was exactly what she had been needing. She had began to feel claustrophobic in that apartment. She hated to stay in there longer than necessary. She stopped at a small, busy coffee shop, grabbing a cold chocolate chip frappe from the sudden urge of something chocolate-y and cold. She walked a ways down until she stopped at the thrift shop, eyeing a jaw of old paint brushes marked for a quarter each. Excitement flood through her as she smiled, walking up to the table. The owner sat in a chair nearby, smiling at her.

"You a painter?" he asked an a vintage southern accent.

Gloria nodded, picking up a tall, thin brush and testing the bristles on her palm. "How much for the whole jar?" she asked softly. Her voice was weak, but she managed.

"For you? You can have it for a dollar. None's been around to buy any."

Gloria smiled and grabbed the jar, handing the man two dollars and turned around to stop at the sight of Alphonse across the street. She smiled once more, looking both ways before she crossed and came up beside him.

"Didn't think I'd be seeing you this soon," she said happily, messing with the brushes in the jar in her hand before looking up at Alphonse. His features were turned back to what she had first been introduced to. It was nice, in a way.

Alphonse soon found him in the middle of the market place. It was early but bustling with people rushing back and worth. The were more walkers than drivers because the road was full of people carelessly crossing. Alphonse found himself getting sucked up in all of the energy, taking him whatever way it choose. It was amazing and he was soon engulfed by people.

Alphonse was having the time of his life. He didn't even realize how many people were around him. He just went his way and enjoyed it. Before he knew it he was surrounded by a ton of people all going their own way. It make him feel sort of awkward with all the stares he was getting. Quickly finding his way out, he escaped the crowd. He then wondered around till he found the more peaceful parts of the market way.

Sighing in relief Alphonse took his time around the new parts of the market. He was more than happy to get away. He liked it better this way, with less people. Sure he was a people person, but too many just didn't feel right. He slowed his walk and smiled as he saw Gloria running up to him. Now as for her, he didn't mind the idea of sticking around with.

"It's lovely to see you again. How are you this morning?" He smiled towards her, his eyes gentle. He offered her his hand gently as he stopped in place. "Join me?" He asked happily, hoping she would.

Gloria beamed up at him as she took his hand. Holding the jar easily with her other. "Sounds perfect," she replied as she thought back to his first question. She huffed a sigh as she looked around. The place was beginning to get a little too crowded. She hoped Alphonse wouldn't mind if she steered him away from here. Maybe the park would be nice.

"Slept passed my alarm," she said with an embarrassed chuckle. "So no school for me for the way I was feeling. Thought a walk would do me some good though. And it did," she murmured before looking back up at him. "And what about you? How are you this morning?"

She enjoyed his company, she honestly couldn't imagine enjoying any one else's at the moment. She motioned her hand with the jar of brushes. "Found this jar of brushes at the marked over there. Feel like I've struck a gold mind," she said with a giggle. "Oh, I love painting, by the way!" She smiled up at him, hoping she'd get to learn something he loves to do in turn.

Alphonse willed gently as they walked hand in hand, his finger entwining with her own. It made him feel a bit embarrassed but he was too happy to be a coward now. He gently nodded as he simply listened. Now that she was here he began to realise how sweet she sounded. Her tone was just as beautiful as her. He kept his eyes on her as she spoke to him, barely noticing the crowd gathering now.

"I'm surprised you don't sing. You have the perfect voice for it, but painting is wonderful too. I have seen amazing painting in my adventures. There are even places made just for paintings of all kinds. The beauty and detail really shows the creator's hearts. Every color speaks to you of their mood and feelings. When pieced together, it secretly reveals a part of the creator's story. I always thought that each piece was amazing. I hope that you could show me your own something." Alphonse spoke passionately as he talking about art. He smiled and his eyes held a true love for such things. Even as he looked at her the look remained.

"As for me, my hobbies are pretty clear to most. Adventuring is really all I do after all. But it's really wonderful you know? I've lived so long but I still have many places to see after all. Every part is just amazing about traveling. I hope that some day I can take you with me, Gloria. The world is much bigger than this simpler town. Though I will admit that I'm happy that you live in such a place. Lately humans have created some things I have concerns about. The fact that I can still find such a wonderful place makes me really happy." Alphonse sighed happily as he looked around, taking in the town again. "It's just so beautiful here." He added gently while rubbing the top of her hand with his thumb.
