i think the announcement totally needs to be a fancy party invitation. 'You are formally invited to join the fae at the Willow Moon Ball' and such.

I check and spunky hasn't posted since 06/03/13. So I think it's safe to say that spunky won't be hosting a contest at the event. This will be ok I think, but if Vinyl hasn't been around in a while. Guys I have a problem. I don't actually know how I'm going to award prizes.
My game is a betting game, exactly like horse races, only bees. Players will bet Faerie Dust- A.K.A. FD- on a bee they think will win. Each player automatically gets 1000FD when they join the game, and can bet as much FD as they have. Each win will add the bet amount to their FD - IE, if they have 100 FD and bet 50, if they're bee wins they have 150FD, if their bee looses they'll have 50FD- but they can not bet FD they don't have. So my problem is, how do I award prizes. I've decided on setting up a prize for highest and lowest amounts of FD by the end of the event, but what other prizes should I award? Daily winners already get Faerie Dust, so I don't really want to award a prize for each bees win, even if I adverage 10-15 winners a day, I'm looking at 90-135 prizes in total and thats a lot of items/gold. But I also don't want just the highest and lowest FD's to win prizes either.... any ideas? |
Maybe also give prizes for the most wins each day or the most wins by the end of the event?

okay so like if person X, Y, and G had won every day but didn't have the most FD they'd win a prize.

How many rounds will there be a day? Or is just one bet per day?

just one race per day.

If that is the case. Then maybe just give a prize for the top three winners. Like player X won 5 out of 6 days, player Y won 4 out of 6 days and Player Z won 3 out of 6 days. So they would get a prize for being most wins.

My prizes are going to be First,Second, Third place type thing. With creativity prizes i think.
