There's at least three other people then me who live in Hawaii are active on this website. Whether they see this.... xD

I know another two more but that's cause they're friends of mines and I got them to join but they're not very active. :P

maidenroseheart 03-14-2013 12:23 AM

Seito, I have a question. If I have a friend who lives in Hawaii who knows someone going to Kawaii Kon... can they come to your table in place of me?

never mind... asked and she doesn't know anyone going... *cries*

But if Menewsha gets bigger within the next couple years, an NYC meet-up would certainly be on the table. [eager]

If that happened, I could attend that! How much is it for a table on the east coast?

Maria-Minamino 03-14-2013 12:28 AM

I live in ORlando - I wonder how many people on mene go to megacon every year - that could be a big draw since it's a big convention

Hmmm well, if your friend (or your friend's friend) signs up (or if they already have an account here), sure that can work. :3 They just have to tell me when PMing me the promo code that they know you.

*sigh* She doesn't have an account here. I just sent her a FB message and she said none of her friends was going to KK. *sad look* I want to go to an anime con someday. That would just be awesome.

Seito 03-14-2013 12:38 AM

Aww that's too bad then MRH. D:

That would be kick ass. Either way we should have a meet and greet anyway at one of them! Who says we cant meet up with people?

maidenroseheart 03-14-2013 12:48 AM

That would be awesome ^_^ When I move back to the states, I will have to find out which con is the closest to me ^_^

Protagonist 03-14-2013 12:50 AM

Well, you dont necessarily need stand to meet people. Its more for advertising, which, we could do as a group 'cause we'd be getting attention I assume.

Seridano 03-14-2013 01:20 AM

I wish I could be there but I'm in MA so it isn't really feasible.

maidenroseheart 03-14-2013 01:33 AM

nice avi Seridano... reminds me of bleach...

Oh gee - $500 to get a table, $75+ just to get tickets to NY Comicon. When you consider staying in a hotel/hostel, transportation, parking and eating in NYC, it all adds up rather fast. The only way to manage it is to either be rich, live in the immediate area, or have friends that you can crash with.

Exactly! Meet-ups would certainly be fun and would be a great way to build community spirit. We've got some people in the Northeast right now, but we'd need to build up the userbase in order to make an official meet-up really worthwhile. Otherwise there would only be 2-3 of us. [lol]

But it's not out of the question to eventually schedule a couple days or nights where we can hang out in big metro areas! [yes]

A few of us have been talking about doing an unofficial meet up in Niagara Falls, cause there is a little pocket of us in the area. But NYC would be even better!

mewmew07 03-14-2013 01:49 AM

I live in Hawaii and I potentially could go visit, but I am not into that kind of scene.

Actually if you count our friends north of the border there is like 5-6 when it comes down to it. But still not enough to make a table in NYC worth while.

dessertdesiert 03-14-2013 02:15 AM

You know despite how much this sounds like fun, i wouldn't want to go to a big city.

Ivvy 03-14-2013 02:37 AM

I am stuck in Texas but if I could I would so go and meet you!

Caught Inbetween 03-14-2013 02:47 AM

I want to visit now. The more reasons to do so, the better.
But I'm unfortunately school broke. D:
And without a passport.

Roachi 03-14-2013 02:56 AM

Damn it - why can't i live in hawaii? Lol

Dystopia 03-14-2013 03:26 AM

Why the fawk is it yellow. D8

Arikana 03-14-2013 04:08 AM

I'm with Anna. Why the heck did you post the alert thinger in yellow of all colours? You trying to murder our eyes? >_> Some of us have extremely sensitive eyes, y'know... :|

Anyways, if you guys ever attend a convention in Toronto, I'd definitely try to be there. If not, probs not gon be there at all. Sorry dudes.

Saravi Boo 03-14-2013 04:40 AM

NC and Hawaii are a little bit too far apart for that to be feasible right now, no matter how much I wish I could say otherwise. ^_^'

Have fun!

~LONGCAT~ 03-14-2013 04:44 AM

That would a plush trip. But sadly I can not make it... I actually haven't been to a con in years.

Draciolus 03-14-2013 05:14 AM

If I had the money, and knew about it way before hand...mostly the money thing though, I would definitely have gun...but the plane ticket, hotel, and all other expenses are just way out here...plus starting school on the 25th doesn't help much either.

I'm definitely for a meet-up eventually as some of you have said. That could be interesting. Though, mostly I just lurk here posting the odd time(I try to be active, but work saps all my strength from dealing with idiots and being too tired to even think of anything). Hopefully by the time this meet-up is arranged, I can be well into my new career and have enough money to hopefully attend. [:D]
