Faye blinked.

"What?" she said. "I'm not sure I understand."

"We pair off," Tony said with a shrug. "Most of us. It's easier to work with a Bruce than with another Tony, and Bruces tend to keep us from doing too many stupid things. So I've got a Bruce wandering around here somewhere."

Faye was quiet for a second.

"There are so many things you just said that make absolutely perfect sense, and I never ever thought I would hear something like that," she said, grinning. "It was amazing."

Tony snorted and shook his head. "Get the fangirling over with now," he advised. "Bruce won't like it much."

"I'm trying really hard to keep it together," Faye admitted after a moment. "Not that I've ever been much of a 'scream and jump' kind of person, but still." Because yes, she was still screaming internally and very much trying not to vibrate out of joy.

Tony just snickered at her and started looking around for Bruce. Because now he needed Bruce to be caught too.

It took Faye a moment to realize he was looking for his Bruce, and she left him to it. No sense in her trying to help and ending up getting in the way and besides, she figured he would know best how to track down Bruce Banner.

Tony was oddly pleased that she wasn't trying to tell him what to do yet so he just kept looking for Bruce.

It took him a little bit, but he did manage to find the correct Bruce, grinning broadly at him.

Bruce raised an eyebrow when Tony came out of the trees.

"Where were you?" he asked, a bit warily. "I turned around and you were gone."

"Yeah. I know," Tony said with a little grin. "So. Bruce. You said you wanted to travel right?" He looked almost nervous.

"Possibly," Bruce replied, looking at Tony and raising an eyebrow. After a moment, his shoulders slumped a bit. "Tony... Don't tell me you got caught..."

"Alright, I won't tell you," Tony said with a little shrug, though he was keeping a close eye on Bruce. "You don't have to come."

Bruce just pinched the bridge of his nose for a moment.

"No, I think it's best if I'm around to keep an eye on you," he said.

Tony grinned broadly, extraordinarily pleased.

"Don't worry, the trainer seems nice enough, and she hasn't freaked out on me yet."

That intrigued Bruce a bit.

"An experienced trainer, then?" he asked. It seemed like a reasonable assumption, given that Tony hadn't been fangirled on. "What does her team look like?"

"You're looking at her team." Tony grinned. "Brand new trainers, pair of 'em. Neither of them fangirled, and they both seem to be pretty calm. One caught me, the other doesn't have any bishis."

"Interesting," Bruce mused. "It's not often you hear about new trainers that level-headed." He was quiet for a moment. "Although, if it's all the same to you, I'd rather not risk being split up if they decide to go their separate ways."

"Agreed. The other trainer's on her own to catch someone." Tony shrugged.

"If you've made up your mind, let's go back and find them again."

After a moment, Bruce nodded.

"Alright," he said. "I can't let you go off on your own. There's no telling what you'll get yourself into." He grinned just a bit.

Tony grinned and towed Bruce along with him to go introduce him to Faye. Even though he hadn't been properly introduced to Faye himself.

Bruce followed sedately, not skipping around like Tony seemed to.

Faye was still standing with Rei, waiting. She wasn't worried about Tony trying to run; somehow, she knew exactly which direction he'd gone in and could probably follow if she had to.

"This is weird," she commented to Rei. "It's like I sort of know where he went."

Rei snorted. "Maybe it's a trainer thing? I mean, it kind of makes sense, to be able to keep track of where your bishis have wandered off to so you don't have to keep track of them all the time?"

"Maybe," Faye said. "I mean, I'm not complaining, I kind of like being able to keep track, it's just... new."

"I suspect all of this will take some getting used to." Rei smiled a bit. "Don't worry too much. We'll be fine."

"Yeah," Faye said. She grinned. "Just think. Science Bros."
