"Oh that is going to be so fun." Rei grinned broadly. "Man I love the thought of that."
"Just think," Faye said. "There's Science Bros, what if there were other ships?"
"Oh that would be so much fun." Rei sighed happily. "Especially if you go to all of Marvel."
"Just imagine," Faye agreed, grinning. She snickered. "Oh god, get a Jean Grey and an Emma Frost in the same place..."
"The epic bitchiness." Rei grinned, and then shook her head when she saw Tony and Bruce heading back over to them. "See, this is just epic."
"It is," Faye said, grinning and sighing a bit. "Look at the Science Bros. It's epic."
"I know, we're awesome," Tony said with a grin, walking over to the two. "Ladies, this is Bruce. Bruce, that one's my trainer." He pointed.
Bruce gave the trainers a cautious nod.
"Because, you know, things typically move smoother when everybody knows everyone else," Faye muttered, "and clearly I must have been raised by rabid bears or something..." She shook her head and looked at the two bishies. "My name's Faye." |
"And I'm Rei." She smiled a little shyly at them.
"Good, nice to meet you, blah blah." Tony looked at Rei. "So how long do you have to catch someone?" "Thirteen more days." "Oh, good, no problem. Bruce, if you haven't changed your mind yet..." He raised his eyebrows at his Science Bro. |
Bruce raised an eyebrow slightly at Tony. No, he hadn't changed his mind. Someone needed to be there to keep him under control, especially with such a new trainer.
"I hope Tony at least mentioned that we have a tendency to pair up," he said to Faye. She nodded. "He said something about that, yeah," she said cautiously. She blinked. "Wait, you're offering to tag along?" "Essentially," Bruce replied, nodding. |
"You got a two-for-one deal," Rei said with a grin. "How awesome is that?"
"Very. We're awesome, after all." Tony preened. "How many of you come in pairs?" Rei blinked. "A few." Tony shrugged. "You'll find out." He grinned wickedly. |
"Because that's not a wicked smirk or anything," Faye quipped as she caught Bruce and let him out again. She grinned. "This is going to be amazing."
Tony snorted at the two of them and shook his head.
"So, do we want to head back to town or keep looking?" Rei looked over at Faye. |
"That's up to you," Faye replied, looking at her friend. "I mean, you're the one who's still on a bit of a time constraint."
"Alright. I guess let's wander around a little more and see what happens." Rei shrugged and started walking along the path again, looking around as she walked.
Faye nodded and followed her friend, figuring Tony and Bruce would keep up.
"How awesome is this?" she said to Rei. "I mean, I can only imagine who else we might stumble across." |
"Once we settle down for today we'll have to examine the bishidexes more closely. I know I saw a map setting on it, I just didn't examine it very well." Rei grinned. Because she could think of some other fandoms she wanted to run across.
Faye nodded.
"I'll play with some of the other apps on it while you fiddle with the map," she said. "We'll figure them out faster that way." |
Rei nodded her agreement and went back to searching. She threw a ball a few hours later at a bishi but missed, seeing only a flash of a leather jacket as he left. She sighed but wasn't all that surprised, instead going to retrieve the ball and put it back on her belt.
"Let's just keep looking," Faye said when Rei picked up the missed ball. "There have to be more around here."
"I'm not worried yet," Rei said, stretching briefly and starting to walk again. "I'll be worried in about a week."
"Let's hope it doesn't get to that, though," Faye said. She grinned. "We both know how quick deadlines can sneak up on people. Remember that paper from lit class in college?"
"Very well." Rei shook her head. "And the research papers. Man those things had a way of sneaking up on us."
"We were the queens of professional procrastination," Faye pointed out, grinning. "Twelve pages the night before it's due? Done."
"Turn it in online five minutes before the deadline," Rei said with a grin. "But that project was pretty dumb, it wasn't entirely my fault I was bored to tears and put it off."
