Is anyone else playing or familiar with Fallen London?
I just started playing today. Don't ask me what I'm doing, because I just don't know.

I'm more familiar with it now, but still there's so much going on, you almost need to keep extensive notes. The ability to echo to your journal helps. Somewhat. And of course, the Myself tab. Still haven't figured out the clique yet though.

Ooh, I love that game! I played it a while back but just recently got back into it after I had to restart since I had absolutely NO idea where I'd left off... The first time around I found it difficult to keep up with, since I was kind of flailing about in the dark, but this time around I find it much easier to follow, especially with the updates that keep one's skills and negative influences at the ready to the left.

And the stories are just so inspiring...

I just signed up last night. Very neat! I too am lost, but I'm enjoying poking around. :)

I'm hooked on those chance cards.

Generally only one's perks---shadowy, dangerous, and such---were shown to the side. But now they include others like suspicion, nightmares, wounds, and so on, so that before you choose an action that can inflate any of these, you can see where they stand.

I don't seem to get the option to sleep off my nightmares anymore. Fascinated though I am by historic Laudanum, I don't want to rely on it.

You can only sleep off your nightmares if they're at a certain point. I believe up to five. Although I do find the nightmares result fascinating. Though not as fascinating as death, it can get a little annoying.
Still, I've been hoping to develop a Laudanum habit this time around, to see what perks or storylets it might offer my character.

I just started up and I'm being devious. It plays almost like a Lovecraft tabletop game so I'm modeling my actions after what works well in that style of game.

I meant the Opportunity deck, yes. Of course since I posted that I've gone through many of them so am getting repeats now, which is less exciting. :) I've started taking cases.. somehow I've made myself chummy with the popo, which makes me feel like a bit of a tool. I need to go steal some stuff or something now. [ninja]

Well you'll get nightmare eventually! I've been insane a good amount of times, but I like the new chances one can get from certain perks. I'll not mention those, though, very intriguing and I'll not let slip!

Mushroom poetry... Maybe my narcissism is showing, but I'd rather not be known for fungal verses. So I spend a lot of time on other works, like short stories and all, due to my chosen profession..


Ooh, so far I've been involved with (and often at the same time) two devils, an artist, an artist's model, an heiress, and a jewel thief...
I wonder what that says about me, hm?

I just accepted an invitation and ended up with -1 actions. Strange loophole that.

I think I might have just made the struggling artist prostitute himself to me. Erp. Should have thought that choice through.

Hahaha, that happens~ At least you're not raving yet! Though interesting things happen when you're raving.

Has anyone else been getting in on The Feast of the Exceptional Rose? My guess would be that it ends tomorrow.
