I don't know who you're talking about, Stark, I haven't known you long enough to have gotten even remotely used to your arsenal of nicknames. Lea got up carefully, checking to see if Amy was still asleep.

And yet you know that I do it. And for some reason, that pleased him enough that he grinned a bit. Thor and Rodgers eat enough for ten people, you might want to hurry.

Alright, I get the picture, Sunshine. Lea grinned at that and put her phone back in her pocket.

"Amy? Wake up, it's time for food. You'll be starving later if you don't get up soon."

Tony sputtered a bit at the nickname and didn't deign to grace it with a reply.

Amy groaned a bit and tried to burrow further into the bed. It felt good to sleep and not have to worry about pulling people to her while she dreamed.

"Come on, Amy," Lea coaxed. "We can make some tea and you get food. You know you want food."

"Do I have to?" Amy mumbled. "Can I make someone bring it to me?"

Lea snorted. "I'll bring some down for you if you really want, but I get the feeling it may take a while. Stark is probably going to make me stay for a while."

Amy groaned and finally made herself sit up.

"Do we have to sit there long?" she asked. "There were so many people today already."

"You can leave whenever you want to, I'll make excuses for you," Lea said with a shrug. "But why don't we go see if we can get food and escape and bring it straight back down here?"

Amy nodded and got up, straightening her shirt and her headband and following Lea.

Lea headed up to the kitchen, hoping she'd be able to sneak in, get food, and leave again while the others were all distracted.

But that wasn't going to work.

Loki was the first to notice them, his eyes bright with curiosity as he tried to determine which one it was that could control people.

Clint and Natasha both noticed at the same time. Clint was eyeing them like he expected them to explode, while Natasha's gaze was more calculating. Bruce expected them, so he didn't bother turning away from his cooking.

Amy stayed a step behind Lea, unconsciously trying to keep her sister as a buffer between her and the rest of the room.

Lea looked around the room quickly, shooting Bruce a small smile. At least she knew him, everyone else was new. Well, besides the film footage, but still.

Steve looked at them both, though he nodded politely. "Tony," he called to get the genius back into the main room. Because he figured Tony should make introductions.

"Hm?" Tony looked up from the tablet he was working on. "What? I told you they would be here."

Steve gave him a bit of a Look. "You could introduce everyone," he said pointedly.

Tony rolled his eyes a bit, but set down the tablet.

"Guys, Leandra and Amy Winters. Leandra and Amy, my teammates." Tony gestured to each person in turn. "Captain Tightpants is Steve Rodgers, Scary Dragon Lady over there is Natasha Romanoff, her bird-like partner in anti-crime is Clint Barton, the blonde mountain at the end of the table is Thor, and the one next to him giving the impression of a fox in a henhouse is Loki. And Bruce Banner is my science bro, and also your head chef for the night." He glanced at Steve with a 'happy now?' expression.

Steve thought he could have done without the snark but this was Tony so it was good enough.

Lea glanced around at them all before she found a pair of chairs on the opposite side of the room, going to sit with Amy.

Amy quickly followed her sister and sat down quietly. She touched her headband, a bit anxious.

"Easy," Lea said quietly. "You're fine."

Loki focused on Amy when she did that. He had the feeling she was the one with the mental abilities; she looked more nervous, more concerned about being in a crowded room, if he was reading her right.

"It's... I don't know, maybe today was too busy," Amy murmured back to Lea. "It's getting through somehow."

Lea frowned. Her patch needed upgrading. "You can head back down if you want, I'll bring food down when it's done," she offered.

Amy bit her lip a bit, weighing her options. After a moment, she shook her head.

"It'll be okay for a little while longer," she said.

Lea nodded, though she was watching carefully to see when Bruce would be done cooking. Because now she was feeling nervous enough to want to take dinner back downstairs.

It didn't take Bruce long to finish, and he verbally bullied Tony into helping bring everything out to the table. Once all of the food was brought in, he gestured to it.

"Dig in," he said.

Lea got food for herself and for Amy, hoping they'd be able to just leave with their food. She did notice Loki watching them, but she didn't say anything.
