"Well, then, let's go," Tony said, helping her to her feet. "You do still have a room here, you know, may as well use it."

"Yeah, we'll see." Lea let him help her over to her room, kicking her shoes off so she could (hopefully) get some sleep.

Once she was in her own room, Tony made his way back down to the lab.

Amy was already in the room, sipping some tea and quietly watching the news. She paused it when her sister came in.

"You alright?" she asked softly.

"Yeah. Think I need to crash." Lea made it to the couch and curled up next to Amy, absently petting a cat that came over. "If I can sleep, anyway."

"Try," Amy encouraged, running her fingers gently through her sister's hair.

Between that and a kitten jumping up to settle in next to her and purr, Lea managed to fall asleep fairly quickly. And she wasn't waking up unless someone dropped a bomb in the room.

Amy turned the volume on the TV down low so it wouldn't bother her sister, and she made sure there was some tea ready for whenever Lea decided to wake up. Then she settled in next to her twin to settle in for a while.

Lea didn't wake up for a good ten hours or so, and then she zombie her way over to take a long, hot shower before searching for food and something new to play with. As soon as she was really awake (sometime in the middle of her shower) she started getting twitchy again.

When she went into the kitchen, Amy was already there. She could see the signs of Lea getting twitchy, and held out a cup of tea for her sister.

"It helps," she said.

Lea took the tea silently and took a sip of it, holding it like it was a lifeline.

"This is going to drive me insane," she muttered. "More insane."

"I know," Amy replied. "I got dosed with it, too. It scratches at you, trying to wear away your control until there's nothing left."

Lea nodded. "Yeah. It would be easier if I could just go stay in the middle of nowhere for a while so I could get away from all this buzzing."

"That's about how I feel when there are people around," Amy said. "More technology for you is like more crowds for me, I think. Just more to play with."

"Yeah. Especially Tony's tech. It's more... tempting than anything else. Normal stuff, like TVs and phones, are just like little pings, whereas computers are a steady buzz, and anything Tony made is more like a swarm of flies." Lea took another sip of the tea.

"The tea helps," Amy said. "Makes everything in your head calm down for a while."

Lea nodded, drinking a bit more. "I think we should go somewhere for a while. Middle of nowhere. For a bit, to give us time to adjust and not deal with stuff."

"I've thought about it," Amy admitted. "A lot. I mean, it doesn't take much for us to up and go, so we can if we need to..."

"Yeah. It doesn't even have to be permanent, we can go for a little while and come back, if we wanted." Lea shrugged. She wasn't quite willing to just get up and leave Tony, but she wasn't examining that too closely.

"A little time away sounds good," Amy agreed. She tried to ignore that little nudge in the back of her mind that whispered that she didn't want to leave Loki behind.

"Good. We'll leave in a day or two. I'll find a suitable place and find a way for us to get out there." Lea finished off her tea and went to go start up her computer.

Amy nodded.

"Alright," she said. "I'll make sure we're packed. Are we bringing all the cats?" Because they still had the six kittens to look after.

"I'm not sure. They'll make it harder to travel, but if we want to take a car, I can make that happen. Legally, too." Because Tony was still paying Lea, for some reason.

"We should take them," Amy said. "I don't want to leave them here, there's too big of a chance someone will just dump them at a shelter."

"Alright. We'll take them with. Maybe rent an RV so we can really be in the middle of nowhere but keep the cats with us safely." Lea looked at Amy for her approval.

Amy nodded.

"Good plan," she said. "I like this plan." She grinned a bit. "I told you we'd become crazy cat ladies eventually."
