Lea glanced at him, snorted, and went back to work. It felt good to have something to do, too good, considering her programming.
"You need to give me stuff more often," she said to Tony. "My programming approves." |
"I'm sure there's more in the slush box that could use some attention," Tony said, waving vaguely to a crate in the corner labelled 'slush' "Knock yourself out."
Lea didn't quite literally pounce on it, but she did keep herself busy for the next few hours. So when Jarvis turned off the music to let them know Bruce had dinner ready, she was almost chipper.
Tony barely even noticed that the music was gone. He was far too interested in making his prototype work. So he brushed off the reminder for dinner, like he usually did, and kept working.
Except Lea didn't let him. She nudged him. "Oi. Food time. Let's go eat."
"I'm working," Tony muttered in reply as he tinkered with small parts.
"Don't make me drag you away," Lea threatened, tugging on his chair. She would, too.
"Really, I'll be up there soon, two minutes, I swear, I just need to finish this," Tony said, not looking up.
"Alright, I'll sit here and wait, then." Lea sat and watched him work. Because she was going to make sure he ate.
Tony muttered something in a vaguely affirmative tone and went back to working.
Lea gave him five minutes before she started pulling his chair away.
"Alright, time to go," she said. "No more time options." |
"Wh-- Hey!" Tony protested as she pulled his chair away from the table. "No! Bad! Stop! I'm still working on that!"
"You can keep working on it after you've had dinner," Lea said, starting to push his chair over towards the elevator.
Tony grumped a bit, not liking his work being interrupted for such measly excuses as food. He'd worked for longer without it before, it wasn't that big a deal.
Lea herded him all the way over to the kitchen to make sure he got food. She pretty much ignored the others and the looks she was getting, too.
Amy wasn't giving her a strange look, though. Instead, she was hiding a small grin behind her drink. She had a feeling that Lea and Tony were into each other, and this was just proof.
Loki had noticed as well and merely smiled a bit. Well, this was going to be interesting to watch unfold.
Lea kept bossing Tony all the way over to the table, sitting with her own plate of food. |
"I don't need a nanny," Tony grumbled as he was herded to the table. "Haven't needed one since I was seven."
"Yes, and look where that got you," Lea said, rolling her eyes. "If you try to go back down to the lab before I'm done eating, I'll tie you to your chair."
"With what?" Tony retorted. "There is nothing here that would work, I know this for a fact."
"Fine, I'll just sit on you," Lea retorted. "Or get Bruce to, he's bigger than I am." She grinned unrepentantly.
"He wouldn't," Tony argued. He looked at Bruce. "Right, Brucie?"
"Ah... Don't drag me into this please," Bruce said, holding up a hand. |
Lea just grinned. She didn't need to say anything else at that point.
Amy just watched the two of them, grinning a bit. It was good that they were getting along. Or as close to 'getting along' as it was possible for them to get.
Lea noticed the look but didn't say anything, just grinning a bit and eating her own dinner while watching Tony to make sure he actually ate.
