"Just a bit of exploring," Loki said, though he eyed the grin warily. He knew that grin. "Why? Hoping for some help keeping your guests entertained?"

"Ah, no, I think I'll have that well in hand," Thor replied. "I had thought to take them to the sparring ring for a while. But you, brother, never really liked the sparring ring, so I was curious as to your plans."

"Well, it has been a while since I have visited the stables," Loki said with a little shrug. "And perhaps I'll go up to my watch spot this afternoon."

"Perhaps Father will let you take Sleipnir," Thor suggested. "It would be worth it to ask."

For a moment, internally, Loki scoffed at having to ask Odin, but he admitted it would be worth it.

"I'll ask him after breakfast," he agreed.

Thor nodded.

"He has no reason to refuse the request, brother," he said. He grinned a bit. "Not that you would really obey if he did."

Loki just smirked, because of course Thor knew that already. Really, he was surprised he even bothered to ask Odin anymore.

Thor just grinned back. He knew that smirk, and it seemed like his brother was back to his old self, at least for the moment.

"Now the real question, brother... How much are you going to tell her about Sleipnir?" he asked, glancing from Loki to Amy and back.

Loki shrugged. "I had not yet decided," he answered honestly. It kind of depended on how well they took to each other, after all.

Thor nodded and didn't pry further. Really, it didn't matter all that much to him, as long as his brother was happy. With that, he made his way back over to his comrades to hash out plans for the day.

Loki gave Amy as much time as she wanted to eat her breakfast, content to just watch people for the moment. And trying to delay having to talk to Odin for as long as possible.

'As long as possible' ended up only being another five minutes or so, because Odin ended up walking in.

"Apologies for interrupting your meal," he said, "but I need to borrow my sons for the moment."

Loki almost pouted at that. He'd been trying to avoid Odin, after all. But he trudged reluctantly after his brother to see what it was they were needed for.

Thor was just curious to see what Odin wanted.

"Father...?" he asked cautiously.

"Neither of you are in trouble," Odin said as he walked with them out of the room. "Fear not. I only wish to hear an update on your stay in Midgard."

Loki exchanged a look with Thor before he shrugged. "Normal," he said blandly.

Odin raised an eyebrow at that and looked at Thor for an elaboration. He knew just how uncooperative Loki could be, after all.

Thor shrugged a bit as well.

"Really, nothing of import has happened," he said. "All is well." And really, Loki had been behaving, so really nothing was wrong.

Odin eyed them both for a few moments before he nodded. He knew that Thor was still fond of Loki, but he also knew they wouldn't lie (not that much, anyway).

"Very well. If all is well so far..."

"I did have a request." Loki raised an eyebrow just slightly at Odin.

"A request?" Odin looked at Loki for a moment before giving a small nod. "Ask, then."

"I am going to visit Sleipnir later today," Loki said, raising an eyebrow. There, that was enough information that he wouldn't have to actually ask.

"I see." Odin looked at him for a moment. "He has been missing you, of late." A pause. "I presume you are going to take that young woman with you?"

"I was thinking about it, yes. I would rather accompany her than leave her to wander on her own." Loki looked at Odin evenly.

Odin studied Loki for a moment before nodding once.

"Very well," he said. "Try not to terrify any stablehands this time, there are some young lads just starting their training."

Loki smirked but dipped his head in acknowledgement. He wouldn't terrify them if they didn't piss him off.

"I won't keep you from your guests any longer," Odin said, waving a hand to dismiss them both. "Enjoy your time."

Loki nodded and went back to go stand by Amy again, pondering how mellow Odin seemed to be at the moment.
