Ah, I do know that song! Of course, Clannad. Guess I didn't know the title. They have Mordred's Lullaby in the recommended videos, too. It's been a while since I listened to that.

The Wandering Poet 04-30-2013 06:11 AM

Wow this place has drastically slowed down o.o maybe I can actually post here now...

Cardinal Biggles 04-30-2013 06:14 AM

Do it. Max out the gold earning of any given post. Breath life into this sucker.

The Wandering Poet 04-30-2013 06:16 AM

Hey Lady Bigglesworth. :)
Been spending the last hour researching sushi restaurants @[email protected]

Ikuto Akihiko Hasegawa 04-30-2013 02:09 PM

Why are you researching sushi restaurants? XD

dessertdesiert 04-30-2013 02:39 PM

-breathes fire in here-

Wait.. You meant breathe life into here... nevermind..

The Wandering Poet 04-30-2013 03:30 PM

Because I'm going out to eat somewhere and I want sushi...

So hard to find decent ones without Asian friends D:
I did manage to find one though [boogie]

Nephila 04-30-2013 10:17 PM

Sushi!! Oh take me with you. I haven't had that for a while now.

Cardinal Biggles 04-30-2013 10:48 PM

Tell me if you find a place that does good kare rice, Poet. I get tired of having to make it at home.

dessertdesiert 04-30-2013 10:59 PM

Cardinal whenever i see the name towanpool, i keep thinking town pool xD

Izumi 05-01-2013 01:35 AM

@Poet - Don't necessarily have to be Asian to know a good Sushi joint. That's one my husband's most favorite foods, and he's about un-asian as they come. XD

Too bad you don't live near the Grand Rapids MI area as there is a FANTASTIC joint I would highly recommend to you. We try to visit it a couple times a year.

Whimsical Sadist 05-01-2013 02:43 AM

Yay Towanpool! [boogie]
How is everyone doing tonight?

Mikio 05-01-2013 08:34 AM

Tired. I barely even slept last night. I cannot wait till the weekend.

KatMagenta 05-01-2013 10:36 AM

Phone Kat says hello. Sitting round a corner so nobody can make me leave coffee shop. [ninja]

Damia Flagg 05-02-2013 02:22 AM

Hello everyone.

* distracts the people at the counter of coffee shop so Momo can stay longer *

The Wandering Poet 05-02-2013 07:02 PM

Sorry I poofed... Cherry's thread thing swamped me XD

Well Lady Bigglesworth, I found the best restaurant in the area, and it has sushi/sashimi. Apparently Sakuma's is the restraunt that Boeing takes their Japanese representatives to so it HAS to be good...
Not sure if Everett is very far for you, but it's not that big of a drive for me :3

@ Izumi - That's true... but unfortunately I had to just do research instead.

Izumi 05-02-2013 08:31 PM

Do let us know how it turns out, Poet! :) I'm curious.

Gosh Japanese sounds soooo freakin' fantastic right now. I might have to do a search for some recipes and whip up something the best I can for me and hubby.

And ARGGH I can't tell you how many times I've hit the 'previous thread' link instead of the post quick reply button my my ipad. >_>

Cardinal Biggles 05-03-2013 04:34 AM

Japanese food is something I hunger after right now, urgh.
Everett is too far away for me, definitely. Plus if it's that good, it's probably not going to stoop to curry rice. That's pure comfort food, nothing fancy.

Izumi 05-03-2013 04:37 AM

I made a chicken tonkatsu style (chicken katsu or torikatsu? *shrugs*) and made it donburi style. It was good. A little dry, but that's because I tried to heat it up in the oven once I cracked an egg over it. Probably not the best idea. The problem is when you fry the already fried up chicken cutlet the breading tends to fall off. >_>

The Wandering Poet 05-03-2013 07:10 AM

Haha I will tell ^^

Maybe one day Lady Bigglesworth, we can figure out the top Japanese restaurant in the whole area :D

As for curry... I only like golden curry and I like the home made kind... but when my Japanese teacher made it for us [drool]

Izumi 05-03-2013 11:58 AM

I wonder how easy it is to make the home made kind. I use to buy the blocks of curry from Japanese/Asian supermarkets. You know the kind you heat up in a stock pot and add veggies/meat too. Their curry is very mild, but has a very interesting flavor to it. :3

Cardinal Biggles 05-04-2013 02:39 AM

I used to use golden curry, but I've taken to making it from scratch, as I can leave out the sugar and other preservatives. It's not much harder than making it with the pre-made roux, so. Still a bit of a work out.

The Wandering Poet 05-04-2013 02:43 AM

Oh Lady Bigglesworth, they did indeed have curry. :3 (Was referred to as Home Made Curry in the menu)
It was very traditional I believe. If I knew the language well enough the person serving us knew the language [drool] I love hearing Japanese being spoken

Izumi 05-04-2013 05:51 AM

Ohhh you don't mind sharing the recipe would you, Biggs? I'm all for making things rather than buying prepackaged/processed garbage and a nice light Japanese curry does sound divine.
