Well, they do have sets. The maker is responsible for them, but collection packages. The categories are satisfactory for me, but I think they need to make it where you don't have to wait for every item to load before you can scroll!

I know they have filters for each packs and store.
But each store sets have its own style, THAT is the style I am talking about. I am too lazy to build my own collection with terms like... Colonial, Modern, Futuristic, Cubism, Chinese, Tomb etc. |

Terms? which terms? those are generic style based on 'my' limited understanding.
Store sets have Japanese, Chinese, Cambodia, India.... and various other sets. I can see the categories as region/country and time influence. They have a set of modern chinese set. I have a organizational disorder, I would like to know which items are in a set. You notice that base game items, some of them are obviously in one set, but some is not, yet they didn't categorized it. |

Even the base game items or expansion items, they do have sets. But some of their names do not 'sound' like they belong to one set, and yet the looks/design are matching. |
I guess I don't poke around the collections enough. [lol] I just grab my downloaded items and leave that menu. I'm in the habit of having so many downloads I don't use anything that came with the game anymore!

Currently, Sims 3 are good in categorizing the items in function and location. But not to style. my preference as well. |
I prefer having them sorted by function because that's the default in Sims 1. [lol] The default menu's fancy, but it's too much of a guessing game.

Sims 3 manage to screw up and one of my clock ended up in fence. -__-;; I have a biiiiiig trouble. It took me few days of thinking, and yet I still can't figure out how to make a lot that merge the 3 locales building for WA, in one lot. x.x One representing Champs Les, Shang la and Al hara. (yeah, I took out the Sims word for the name. XD) |
Has anyone had the problem where you place something from your inventory onto the ground and it disappears? My second generation sims moved house and they couldn't put things down like gnomes and tombstones without them disappearing. It's wear though because if you hover over the tile that you placed it on no interaction or whatever dialog shows up. I had to restart the game and not save to get my items back.
It's a known issue and it's annoying. :< |

Thank goodness I haven't had that! owo But I don't use the family inventory. My sims don't move houses often. If they do, I remake all the rooms instead of using the old furniture. That's an opportunity to try out building techniques and design more room themes. \o/ |
I don't reuse old furnitures. I only keep things like cert, collectibles, harvests and those unique item in inventory.
I didn't encounter that issue before... good luck, Wonderder. I would like to achieve the 10 generations challenge, but the last time I attempted it, the lag kills my interests. Anyway, I give up thinking about the design and just plop down and do the lot for the 3 locales. Trying to make it look like a Shang Al Les Land... XD |

After building this lot, I would be able to start god modding my twin in World Adventures... I hope I won't encounter that problem because I do have items in sim inventory.

Went through two weeks of hell with school
so many homework and projects so soon! I missed all the sim talk I'm sad now But thank you for keeping this thread alive! |

The glitch/bug or whatever I was talking about has been fixed! I've been able to place items from my inventory into live mode. Pretty happy. :)

I'm not sure. It just went away itself. I just tied placing something down and It actually stayed there.

I think I found the 'point' why it crash...
seems like it pan fine IF I pause the game... but if the clock still working... it seems to have higher possibility of crashing. Anyway, I am attempting the Nraas reset everything and see if it is fixable. x.x I hate to hahve a prick there... |
Wow! Maybe it's just working too hard and it just gives up since there is a lot going on. How many expansion packs do you have on?
I need to save and restart my game once every few hours otherwise it will freeze and crash just because it gets overworked and overheated. |
