Not surprising. Asexual awareness is very small, so the kinds of relationships they have wouldn't be too well-known, either. A lot of asexuals have relationships with allosexuals, but they can be difficult because of some obvious differences. Compromises, compromises. I don't imagine any would be exactly like theirs.
