It's weird meeting people who studied Latin at a different place because they pronounce it totally differently. I've heard people pronounce "ego" (I) the same way as the English word several times, but I was taught that it's eh-goh. Like de waffles! 8D And they say "Ego sum _____" (I am…) when they say their name, but we were taught to say "Mihi nomen est _____" (My name is… Lit. "The name to me is…"). It can be confusing if you're trying to follow with your ears.

That echoes into French and Spanish. In Frech you say "Je m'applle" and in Spanish you say "Me llamo" both mean more like "I call myself".
