Mine curls a little but only so much that it curls directly into my eyes

Amane 09-18-2014 12:04 AM

Anyone who thinks not washing hair every day is gross doesn't have super long or African hair.

The Wandering Poet 09-18-2014 12:17 AM

I don't think that. I find that non greasy hair can smell pretty nice.

Amane 09-18-2014 12:47 AM

I'm not worried about my hair as long as it's in my head and not causing me a problem. Which is why dreads are perfect for me.

The Wandering Poet 09-18-2014 12:57 AM

I would dread having dreads. *cough*
isn't what my avi has dreads? I don't think I could pull it off

Amane 09-18-2014 01:04 AM

Yep, those are dreads. I really like them. They'd be good for me because taking care of my hair is hard, and I definitely don't want to do the weave thing or wear wigs. And I never, ever want to cut it!

The Wandering Poet 09-18-2014 01:36 AM

If you can pull it off go for it! :D

I've never seen good dreads before I wonder what good looks like

Amane 09-18-2014 01:38 AM

I've seen many, many dreads. Long. Short. Messy. Neat. Half-dreads. Dyed dreads!

ClockReject 09-18-2014 01:43 AM

I use to want dreads o-o

Amane 09-18-2014 01:48 AM

NO WAY.

The Wandering Poet 09-18-2014 01:49 AM

Probably helps that we rarely usually get people of African decent here. mostly Asians. Though as of late there have been a lot of people from Gambia here.

Amane 09-18-2014 01:52 AM

Oh, I've only seen dreads through the vast place that is the Internet. On mostly whites. I MIGHT have seen African people with dreads IRL before. Might. I see them with braids, fake hair/extensions, or almost nothin'. People are like :O when I tell them my hair's real.

The Wandering Poet 09-18-2014 02:38 AM

Is it super long?

Amane 09-18-2014 02:39 AM

For never cutting it, it's ridiculously short. It almost reaches my waist.

Andraus 09-18-2014 02:42 AM

Cut it one a month, for a full year, and it will grow out.

The Wandering Poet 09-18-2014 02:45 AM

I love how you try to call waist length short

Andraus 09-18-2014 02:47 AM

*I start pushing a chest of Golden treasure by, and a giant, sparkling Orb rolls by Poet and Amane both*

Nola 09-19-2014 10:13 AM

*dies* ;~; I'm in so much pain right now it isn't even funny....

For never cutting it, silly! I once knew a girl who'd also never cut her hair, and she wore it down all through middle school, and in high school, she always wore it in a bun because it dragged the floor! Why, we called her Rapunzel.

*ahem* I'd never cut my precious hair. It isn't that I've never cut it. I've been told it numerous times. By people who do cut their hair. African hair grows slowly.

The Wandering Poet 09-19-2014 05:08 PM

Oh gosh... dragging on the floor? That's as bad as sitting on it D:

Amane 09-19-2014 05:11 PM

*whispers into the night* I want it.

The Wandering Poet 09-19-2014 05:14 PM

I remember my exwife had her hair that long at one time. Her hair caught on her chair in school constantly.

Amane 09-19-2014 05:15 PM

I can't wear my hair down anyway because of its natural state, so everyone wins. [boogie]

The Wandering Poet 09-19-2014 05:19 PM

Must get really heavy on your head though

Amane 09-19-2014 05:24 PM

It isn't heavy at all. A little when it's wet, but nothing I couldn't live with.
