I learned I might not be having night terrors.
What is actually probably happening is sleep paralysis with some hypnopompic imagery. Where I wake up while my body is still in REM sleep, the part of sleep where you dream, and I still dream. While in REM sleep your body paralyzes itself (the paralysis is known as REM atonia) to prevent it from acting out the dreams that are going on in your mind during this stage of sleep. And sometimes the dreams themselves can carry over into this paralyzed transition phase, taking on characteristics of your environment, and manifesting themselves in what are called hypnopompic hallucinations. Keno, that makes a lot of sense. I've had sleep paralysis before, however I saw the ceiling and I was blinking rapidly. It was weird.

I wrote what would be, like, almost ten pages on the computer, okay? And I looked at it, and I was like, "I would die if anyone saw this." I DON'T WANT TO THINK THAT. Whatever I decide to do has to not make me think that! ASDFGHJKL! Also, right now I'm taking the pleasure of ripping up a couple old pages for the satisfaction of destroying them. I keep having bad dreams lately and it's really annoying.

I am so sorry I've not been on.
I've been dealing with a migraine for a week now. I don't know why I'm having it but yesterday I went into the ER just in case and they don't think it's anything crazy. Also my friends mom is almost dying. When we saw her yesterday she was on life support. Today though she can finally breathe on her own. Her liver is failing. |
I'm terribly sorry to do this, but I saw the words "cheese story" and simply had to poke my nose in here and say something.
