Sinus stuff sucks... I had to go to work with one :( it sucked

llonka 02-12-2014 08:52 PM

Aww I'm sorry. :( It does suck. I've got a lot of pressure in my nose right now and can barely keep my eyes open.

The Wandering Poet 02-12-2014 08:54 PM

I hate that feeling. Eat really spicy food if you can handle it... I find that will temporarily clear up your sinuses for a while

llonka 02-12-2014 08:56 PM

What about having a sore throat though?

So how close are you to your posting goal?

The Wandering Poet 02-12-2014 09:07 PM

I dunno... honey, lemon, salt and something else I think? Maybe tea?

Veno 02-12-2014 09:35 PM

Peppermint or spearmint hard candy helps between the cough drops for me.
Most of the time I can find at least one of those in sugar free.

llonka 02-12-2014 10:54 PM

Thanks everyone. [hug]

The Wandering Poet 02-13-2014 07:15 AM

Spearmint and anything that'll drizzle down my throat actually makes me cough....

llonka 02-13-2014 01:50 PM

I took cough drops and a bottle water. I had one coughing fit. :P

Gosh I didn't sleep worth a darn last night. I got up at 2 coughing and couldn't go back to sleep. So I came into the living room and laid on the couch, as always when I got to sleeping good, it was time to get up. Blah.

The Wandering Poet 02-13-2014 03:13 PM

Careful with cough drops though, you can actually develop an addiction if you take them too long. (Basically going off them makes you cough) so make sure not to take them for too many days.

I'm actually running on fumes myself... >.<

llonka 02-13-2014 08:27 PM

Oh really? That's strange!

Let me just take this opportunity to say that my husband is annoying and ignorant. And I'll end it at that. *bows* Thank you. [lol]

The Wandering Poet 02-14-2014 12:21 AM

Yeah, had a family friend that got addicted to them cause he was coughing for so long that he became dependent on them until he suffered for a while to clear it out.

Considering his logic I can understand that. There's a good side though right?

Nephila 02-14-2014 12:45 AM

Eww I hate working when sick. >.< Sinus infections are no fun.

The Wandering Poet 02-14-2014 01:02 AM

Sinus infections are like my usual constant headache x50

Nephila 02-14-2014 01:03 AM

For me I hate ear infections more. Ever since my ear blew I've had ringing in my right ear at random time.

The Wandering Poet 02-14-2014 01:14 AM

I have that anyways... it's so annoying @[email protected]
Not too often but still bugs me. Usually by pitches at the end of my hearing other people can't hear.

Nephila 02-14-2014 01:20 AM

yup. It's like some dramatic horror/sci fi where the visitors have implanted a beacon in there. When you grab you head and shout and everyone looks at you funny.

The Wandering Poet 02-14-2014 01:25 AM

People look at me funny anyways... what's the difference?

Nephila 02-14-2014 01:26 AM

It's more noticeable for me when I'm in pain...It's like they're eyeing their prey.

The Wandering Poet 02-14-2014 01:37 AM

"PSst that one is vulnerable."

Nephila 02-14-2014 01:41 AM

Exactly...then I have to try not to bite their heads off. Cuz I lash out. Rrar!

The Wandering Poet 02-14-2014 01:45 AM

You're cranky when you're feeling ill?

Nephila 02-14-2014 02:16 AM

yeah people would probably guess I was on my rag sooner than me being sick. I think a lot of people do that though. some kind of defense mechanism.

The Wandering Poet 02-14-2014 06:04 AM

That's true... though some people are naturally cranky and they're hard to tell if they're sick
