There are some dubsteps I like. Like the dubstep of Misty Mountain.

Amane 09-25-2016 10:11 PM

I like all the dubstep. The heavier, the better.

Kirin Rosenbaum 09-25-2016 10:17 PM

I like when popular type themes/songs are dubstepped.

Amane 09-25-2016 10:20 PM

I like those remakes of old songs better than the originals. That is, when I find out there are originals.

Ava The Vampire 09-25-2016 10:35 PM

I hate it when people cover an old song and the cover gets more popular than the original.
>:T It infuriates me when people DON'T know there was an original, especially when the original is WAY better than the cover. >:C

I felt that way when Disturbed covered "Sound of Silence" by Simon and Garfunkel.
Disturbed RUINED the song. >:O

OMG I feel the same way! That's always driven me nuts. Sometimes the cover itself isn't too bad, but the people that are gaga about it but don't know/care about the original? That annoys me. For some reason especially more so if they're younger than me [illgetu]

Amane 09-26-2016 12:02 AM

It's usually that they've taken a song that has old all over its sound and they make it dancey, and I love me some dancey.

I will admit I like the original better but I enjoy Disturbed's version as well.

Amane 09-26-2016 01:29 PM

Of course you like the originals, Ava.

Kirin Rosenbaum 09-27-2016 10:59 AM

For me to all depends. But once I find out a song is a cover I will listen to the original. Always. I like to be able to say I've listened to both.

Ava The Vampire 09-27-2016 04:45 PM

I heard Simon and Garfunkel's song lonnnng before Disturbed covered it.
Firstly, I think the idea of the song sounds better when the original artist made it. I also didn't like how the singer of Disturbed kind of screamed the lyrics at the end... I felt that ruined the vibe that Paul Simon was going for.

Paul Simon is an amazing artist and now everyone thinks Sound of Silence was Disturbed's song....

Linnea 09-27-2016 11:51 PM

i think that happens often, i mean look at blue suede shoes. everyone thinks it was an elvis original. it was actually carl perkins who did it first, but elvis made it famous

that reminds me of a song i heard today that is a remake and i don't hate it... i just wish i could remember what it was... >.>
it was a rock version of something older... yup... i lost it.... it's gone grrrr [stare]

I know it's a Paul Simon song. I heard that version first. I just happen to enjoy the remake a bit as well. Is it as good as the original? Of course not.

I didn't realize that Blue Suede Shoes wasn't originally done by Elvis. I learned something today.

Amane 09-29-2016 10:51 PM

*waits for the day someone remakes Blue Suede Shoes and adds a bass drop and no one has a clue*

pffffhahahaha that'd be hilarious!

Kirin Rosenbaum 09-30-2016 12:34 PM

I will admit the main reason I liked Glee was it introduced me to so many songs/artists that I might not have learned about otherwise.

Amane 09-30-2016 04:56 PM

Meanwhile, this show has a ton of awesome music made just for the show that isn't found anywhere else.

Ava The Vampire 09-30-2016 07:17 PM

The only Glee versions of songs that I liked is the Glee Christmas songs.
I don't even celebrate Christmas, but I like them very much.

They even did a Hanukkah song that was pretty cool.
I wish they'd have done more Hanukkah songs!

Amane 09-30-2016 07:24 PM

There's nothing like K-pop Christmas.

Kirin Rosenbaum 10-02-2016 11:45 AM

There is a heavy metal Christmas album I want very much.

Amane 10-02-2016 01:30 PM

Christmas dubstep.

Tom Hiddleston 10-02-2016 04:08 PM

Christmas music is nice.
I quite enjoy it. I am a big fan of Christmas rock music!

Amane 10-02-2016 04:38 PM

You, into rock?

Tom Hiddleston 10-02-2016 04:43 PM

Oh yes. I love rock music.

Amane 10-02-2016 04:46 PM

I can't with rock music. I cannot. I wish I could because then I could follow J-rock.
