I've never had surgery other than getting my wisdom teeth removed. :o
It didn't scare me, it was going under that scared me the most...

Shadami 12-07-2017 02:45 PM

that's the part that scared me. They put that oxygen thingy in my nose and the anastesiologist was leaning over me going "shhhh breath through your nose. You've got this"

and i was just crying and having a panic attack going. "But i can't get a deep breath! AHhhhhhhhh"

i was also high as a kite on those body numming things they give you and i was convinced that he was joe chin from ghost hunters (taps) and we were going to go ghost hunting.

Ava The Vampire 12-07-2017 03:39 PM

Iwas expecting to get high,
But the mask didn't fit my face so I was extremely nervous the whole time. :(
When I was done with the surgery, all I did was drool a lot and I was sore.

Shadami 12-08-2017 01:28 AM

they just stuck some thingy in my nose, mine wasn't a mask. i'd probably have panicked even more if it was a mask to be honest. xD

*Bounces in triumphantly* I have slayed the homework dragon!

Ava The Vampire 12-08-2017 04:32 PM

Yay, llonka! :D
The homework dragon didn't stand a chance!

They have to give you so much numbing stuff for it to work that it makes you get…? X'D I've seen that before, though. Real funny.

I had a procedure done that involved numbing when I was younger, and I expected to get all loopy, but I don't think I ever did. They put a nose thingy on me and left me alone while it kicked in. Boy, that was a weird physical feeing.

I am pretty sure they gave me Versed (pronounced "ver-sed") before my surgery. I don't remember anything before the surgery. When I woke up I had a tube down my throat and my mouth was soooo dry! ...but I had a really hard time staying awake so they could remove the tube from my throat. The doc finally just started the procedure, which totally woke me up because I had to help by gagging that tube up!
I can only hope that I will never have to go through all that ever again!

Ava The Vampire 12-09-2017 11:31 AM

I hope I never have to have any surgery!
It seems so scary, and sometimes doctors mess up. :(

Shadami 12-10-2017 01:55 AM

well i was three days induced labor xD and going on 2 weeks of labor and so i got jabbed with.. i'm pretty sure it was just two doses of "numb your entire body" straight to the spine medicine. but... the details are all a little cloudy. ^^;;

Ava The Vampire 12-10-2017 07:42 PM

That sounds scary! [gonk]
When I have a baby, I don't think I would opt for the numbing meds...
I say that now, but who knows what will happen when the time actually comes. xD

Shadami 12-14-2017 08:26 PM

i was planning to do natural.. but things kinda happened. like i apparently can't have kids naturally ^^;;; I have to have c-sections.

Inzanebraned 12-15-2017 07:42 AM

I have had 4 natural births...with 3 I had pain medicine with...1 I did not.
I would trade a dozen natural, unmedicated births for having a breathing tube down my throat and open heart surgery!
I all but had to learn to breath all over again!

My mom had 4 C-sections because her hips were fused and couldn't spread during childbirth.
She said it would break her back to give birth the natural way.

Hearing mothers talk about how children wrecked their body has made this little chica even more determined to not use her body for such things.

Ava The Vampire 12-17-2017 01:50 AM

I have always wanted to have a baby... :)
I don't care if my body gets fucked up! It'll be worth it!

Inzanebraned 12-17-2017 04:44 AM

I don't think that having babies ruined my body...I just wasn't very committed to toning myself back up after the babies were born...and I did gain some stretch marks, but I never was a bikini kinda girl.

Amane 12-17-2017 06:45 PM

*smiles* Oh, Ava. Of course sacrificing beauty and health for a child wouldn't bother you.

Ava The Vampire 12-17-2017 06:56 PM

I think I would make a good mom. :)
I've always wanted to be a mom ever since I was like 12!

Amane 12-17-2017 09:23 PM

I never thought about it. As I got older, I thought more of the things you have to do to get to conventional motherhood, and I was like, no.

I thought about myself being an adult and handling the adult life. I thought the desire would come as I got there and I would figure it out, but it didn't, and now here I am too terrified of—and pessimistic about—the real world to enter.

Kirin Rosenbaum 12-18-2017 12:55 PM

I have never had kids but I do have stretch marks. That's cause I've gained and lost weight.

Amane 12-18-2017 02:10 PM

You certainly don't have to have a child to have stretchmarks. You don't even have to be a girl. Everyone is susceptible to the curse unless they've been thoroughly blessed. [angry]

Ava The Vampire 12-18-2017 05:38 PM

I have so many stretch marks all over my ass, mostly... :(
It's really embarrassing too.

The stretch marks have been there since I was a wee one. Maybe like, 12 or 13.

Amane 12-18-2017 07:27 PM

You call that a wee one? Oy.

Stretchmarks make me want to cry. Nobody should have to have that garbage stuck all over their body. Like, I would be part of an effort to entirely obliterate stretchmarks for good. Screw stretchmarks with a straw the size of a house.
