Iiii have gluten-free cookies made with ancient grains! (I don't have a gluten issue. I just think the box design and the company's logo are really cute. I can't resist buying them. They're good cookies, too!)
I don't usually like gluten free things. :c
They aren't as tasty or moist... But I did like gluten free English muffins! |
If you see Goodie Girl brand cookies, those are Amane-approved. Enjoy Life is gluten-free, too. I don't think I've had any other gluten-free goodies.

Where is llonka? :'(
Probably trying to escape her husband and kids long enough to sneak in a post to tell us. And hopefully working as an English teacher.
Hey, lovely people! I've been super busy.
YAY! llonka!!!!
I just landed my first teaching job and right now I'm away at training to get ready for the school year!
Tcha! Congrats Llonka <3 that's so awesome <3
I'm glad to see that the insanity house still lives. Ahhhhhh. The memories <3 |
Yayyyy llonka! :D
It's nice to see you! I'm glad you got your first teaching job! :D |
Totally awesome. Llonka, which subject did you say that you taught? Was it English? For some reason I feel like it's English... and what grade(s) will you be teaching?
Funny enough, I'm also teaching English though it is not my degree at all. Heh. 😅 |
Yes, I am classified as an English teacher. My school is doing a "redesign" so we won't be teaching traditional classes anymore. It will be more like college, in a way. So, I'll be teaching mythology and sports literature.
What is sports lit??
That's a good question! I think we read sports themed books and short stories and analyze them, ect.
Hmm. Interesting. So this is high school level that is modeled after college?
Yeah, kind of. It's hard to explain. Classes, we call them mods, are set to cover the same things as English one, two, three, and four. The kids move at their own pace and can float from room to room. It's pretty cool.
I was riiiight! llonka's a teacher now! WOO WOO!
I can't believe I saw llonka from student to teacher! Started from the bottom; now we're here! [squee] |
Nice that the students can move at their own pace but is it legit? Like if they work really quickly are they able to go home earlier? What happens then :p because that would be me lolol

Zephi- I think if they get finished, they have time to work on other things, like homework or extra curriculars. |
Restricted teaching license? I'm still waiting on my official certificate from the state. Boo.
Yes! I'll get to sign a contract on the 13th. WOOT! I'm trying wrap my head around the whole idea that I'm a teacher and have a full-time job now. I'll admit, I've never had a full time job before... [sweat]
Well I'm sure that you're going to love it. Does your state have a union? Mine has tried so hard to get rid of the teacher's union. It's infuriating.
