Izumi- Thanks for your input! I'm sure they are both struggling, both of them hate their jobs right now and are strapped for money. That must really be an ego crusher for a man, to not have much money. My dad has borrowed 400 dollars now from me, that I got from my Pell Grant. I sure I hope I get it back, because we need money too.
You what gets me through my day lately? Watching my boys. They are so funny when they are around their friends at school. [lol] Hope everyone is having a wonderful afternoon! :3 ---------- Post added 10-07-2013 at 12:51 PM ---------- Hey Vannie! Hehehe... eeww yuck llonka doesn't like to be outside. :P I really need to go finish reading so I don't have to rush around tomorrow and check to see what we are doing in college algebra tonight. |
I don't either, but when Autumn rolls around I love being outside!
The cool weather is perfect! Especially since the sun isn't as bright, so no headaches for me. [yes] Speaking of mathers... I gotta go study more pharm calculations. /cries/ |
Oh that's true, fall is a nice time of year to be outside.
Eeeew yuck that sounds like awful maths. lol. |
It is. ^^ Autumn is definitely my kind of season.
I does, but it's really not that bad... just too many numbers and I hate it. |
@llonka - Being financially strapped for cash definitely can effect you negatively. That no doubt it effecting their overall mood. It still doesn't make their negative behavior right, but when you take it into consideration I guess it helps you be more compassionate towards them...to understand that this is their way with dealing with it, be it right or wrong.
I still think your haircut is cute, regardless of their input. :P Also, that's good to hear you're still finding things to keep you smiling. :3 I had a great time helping my step daughter with dinner last night. My husband thought it was hilarious to hear us in the kitchen working together as we were being sarcastic and there was a bit of swearing on my end. [XP] |
Izumi- Hopefully things will start changing for them soon.
Thanks! Today I put a silvery headband on and it looks cute! :3 I bet that was pretty fun. Last night Kaleb was like "remember that one time I helped you bake, it was fun!" [lol] That kid cracks me up. Jacob is more a stick in the mud like his dad, but maybe I can get him to lighten up. |
llonkaaaa feeeeed meh. [cry]
I haven't eaten today and I'm getting hungry. I hate not having food to make. Lol. |
Aww all i have is left over tortilla soup. :P
|
I've never had tortilla soup o3o
|
I need a chilly day to go walking!
I met a friend at the mall for lunch today. We were going to eat and then walk the mall, but instead we ended up in the Skechers shop, and just tried on shoes for an hour or so. lol...we each ended up getting a pair. Hubby just sighed... |
At least you got to hang out with your friend today. ^^
I'd never take hubby anywhere that involves the mall, he'd just mope around and ask when we're leaving. No fun at all. >.> |
No, my hubby doesn't go to the mall either.
I got home and shouted "It's Cheryl's fault!" ...that's when he knew I had bought yet another pair of Skechers. |
Bahaha!
Skechers are awesome though. XD |
@Jean - Maybe you should be an official endorser of their brand. [lol] I do love their shoes too and had about 4 or 5 pair. Not the go walks but some of their other styles. They make some super cute casual footwear. I think the next pair of sneakers will be another pair.
Honestly the only pair of shoes I didn't like of theirs was their flip flops. They were super comfy, but at $25 a pair I would expect them to hold up longer than a few weeks. I had a hole in them in less than a month, and by the end of summer I had to trash them. :( @llonka - I'm hoping so too. My main concern is my hubby's tooth that's been bothering him. We're holding out for insurance to kick in in December, but if it doesn't stop bothering him I may have to get in touch with the low income dentist in town and see if they'd work with us to get it extracted. Luckily there's no swelling, just a dull, achy, always constant pain. Other than that, stepdaughter is doing well in school and I'm hanging in there. It's a day by day kind of existence, but soon once things lighten up it will get better. :) |
So I'm in the store with my friend, and the gal at the counter says "I remember you".
Then as we were buying the shoes, another (male) sales clerk came in and said "Hi again! I haven't seen you for a few weeks". |
Sounds like you're a regular. :3
I can't think of any shops other than maybe Meijers where people might recognize me. Maybe gamestop, still, but it's been awhile since we've been in. We use to stop by all the time. I think hubby and I are slowly growing out of gaming. We still do play, but not quite as into it as we once were. In all honesty the new next gen consoles for PlayStation and Microsoft are coming out, and neither one of us is really excited for it to come out. He says maybe once the next Final Fantasy drops he will change his tune. Me? I don't even think that would get pumped. I'm still into my handheld gaming...The 3DS. I've been playing Animal Crossing on a daily basis. I want to get excited for Pokemon coming out this weekend. Speaking of which, I may gather some games to trade in towards it. [yes] |
Oh no Izumi! Poor guy, I hope his tooth holds out until you have some insurance, dentists can get expensive, I know. :P Glad to hear she's doing well in school. It's pretty much day by day for me also. Makes things a lot more less stressful. [yes]
|
Well when you're stressed and depressed, sometimes that's really all you can handle. If I let myself, I could sit and worry about what is going to happen 6 weeks from now. The farthest I can look forward is maybe two weeks right now. I'm trying to get myself excited to go to Pam's first band outing. I'm sure I'll enjoy it, and we're trying to encourage her to stick with band for the year before dropping out. She's been talking about how much she's got to learn and catch up with the class. She missed band camp as she didn't move down in time to sign up. That being said, she's been in band since 6th grade and it would be a shame for her to drop out without at least giving it a try. They're actually getting her feet wet by gradually getting her into the marching aspect and doing their letters on the field to march on. I had to do that kind of stuff, march in parades, and do half time marching shows. A lot of repetition is what made it where I could march it in my sleep. I'll be honest and I faked playing in certain spots. [XD]
Aaron should be ok? He's pretty resilient and definitely stubborn. I'm sure if it becomes unbearable I can talk him into going. I think he's wary about the pain factor and also money not really being there. It's tough seeing him feeling so run down and in pain. He is still functioning, going to work, but you can tell by his demeanor he's getting by day by day as well. When I express worry for him he's like just make sure you can hold your own, as I can't carry you. (He's talking about my depression and struggle through work.) Anyways, anything exciting for you going on today? I only have to work a little over 6 hours on the phone, have a meeting, and then I get out early to go to my appointment. (Luckily scheduling gave me an early day today and I didn't have to work around it...[sweat]) I'm looking forward to the counseling appointment. I'm hoping it will help me work through a lot of what's going on. |
Hey I was in marching band also! She should stick with it, you gain so many new friends and experiences, i miss being in band. hahah I fake it sometimes too when the marching was pretty intense. [lol]
I hope he can hang in there. Has he been taking any pain meds? Good luck at your appointment! Just two classes for me today. I've a headache again. I hope I can get it to go away before my first class this afternoon. Also have to go food shopping ugh. |
I don't care for food shopping either. I usually leave it up to hubby - tell him how much money he can spend and let him worry about it.
He's been taking mainly over the counter stuff to help, and lots of it. I think recently he said it hasn't been bothering him as much...so it's good. I don't know if he's telling me that to keep me from worrying, or if it's true. I would love for it to hold out in time for us to have insurance, but sometimes life just doesn't work like that. I've got about another 3 hours of work left. Just finishing up my lunch break before hopping back to the grind. Eh, it's not bad but not good. I guess it could be worse. I'm trying my damnedest though. That's what counts... I'll hopefully have time to pop in after the appointment. I am excited to go. There's so much I want to talk about...Just not sure if I can cram it into an hour...And more than likely they'll want to build history/rapport. Bleh. Want to get knee deep in it right now! Anyways I will yak at you later! Have a great day. :3 |
I have to do the shopping or he'll blow all our food money in one trip. I've just been getting what i need for the day or two. :P sucks having to go so often but I don't like/have time to be in the store for hours and hours.
That's good, I hope the pain stuff he's taking really is helping. You can do it! You can get through the rest of your day. :3 Oooh I'd love to hear how it went. Sometimes I wish I could go also. Talk to you later! May not be tonight, have class. :P |
Heyyy llonka! [heart]
