I've never actually heard anyone say it the ass pronunciation when saying asshole...always with the r sound arsehole...even if they spell it asshole...[headdesk]
|
I make a point of pronouncing it with an R [sweat]
I don't often here people calling each ass holes as much as seeing it typed so [rofl] One of the pleasantries of being in school [rofl] |
Well, like if people were saying it out loud it'd be said and pronounced like arsehole...quite clearly with the rrr of the r in there but some would write it asshole anyway despite pronouncing it the same as those who would spell it arsehole.
hehe I'm glad I was able to mention the offensive term in this forum and to be able to have a discussion about my observations in relation to the terms without people thinking i'm crude...hopefully. |
I hear more people pronouncing it as asshole :O
I guess it depends where you are then [rofl] But I guess when its without the R, its more offensive. Unless you have a weird obsession with donkeys |
but see, if you were actually talking about an asshole with the intended meaning of 'donkey hole' it could be interpreted in different ways depending on the context...
a hole made of donkeys, a hole with a donkey in it, or a hole where a donkey resides, a hole that belongs to a donkey...there are probably more...but those are just a few interpretations I came up with. that don't actually refer to anus. |
Okay I'm confused [rofl]
Generally no matter what it can mean, people usually go with the most popular definition in that context. Unless you're one of those people who annoy the socks off everyone by pulling out every possible definition and rubbing them in everyones face. |
xDD What the heck, gaiz~
I use asshole. And pronounce it like that. Because I'm 'Merikan! [rofl] From this site: “Arse” | Not One-Off Britishisms Quote:
Yay speculations! [rofl] |
Must just be an Australia thing then [rofl]
|
Yeah, you lot are weird as all get out. [lol]
[:P] |
We are [rofl]
We're so bogan [gonk] |
What's dat word?! Bogan! [:O]
I was watching this show the other day that took place in Australia. [lol] House Hunters show. Was this Aussie and this American looking for a good place to do some gold digging. ;o |
Ah, I don't know how to explain it [sweat]
Um, unsophisticated kinda. Majorly so. |
Oooh interesting. [:O]
Iku learns! 8D |
Its mostly Aussie and Kiwi slang, so I kinda forgot that [rofl]
|
Wait, you forgot wut? [lol]
|
I forgot it was Aussie/Kiwi slang, so I forgot the big world out there probably won't know it 8'D
And with that I'm gonna duck off to bed so I'm not hella tired at the end of the week. Night! |
Ooh gotcha! [lol]
Hahah. Have a good sleep! [:B] |
I learned ass = butt before I learned that ass = donkey. [sweat] I remember it confused me for a while when I first heard that ass = donkey. I was all, "Whaaaat? Why would they use a term for butts to call a donkey with?? [gonk]" [lol] |
When I came to the U.S, I didn't know English so slang was even more confusing. @A @ Now I just thinks its pretty funny.

This is why ass is such a ridiculous way of writing the synonym for butt, when there is arse, which, to me is the way you should write it...especially when ass is used to refer to a donkey...[XD] |
Hahaha thanks? [XD];;; |
Arse seems a little less rude and obnoxious compared to ass for me. [rofl]. Less crude [yes]
|
lol Yeah, it sounds fancier to me than 'ass'. [lol] |
I call people arsefaces if that counts.
I just like the word arse. I also like the word bosom. I guess I just like words that people don't normally use. |
My swearing has been getting worse and worse over the years...the Internet is such a bad influence on me. [XD];;; |
