Are you just hoarding all the gold in a trade? [lol]

Kirin Rosenbaum 05-24-2013 06:04 PM

Me? Yeah I put the gold in the trade every hundred I get so I'm not tempted to spend it ahead of time.

Here's some of the stuff I ate the first time.

Hmm, I don't know. There's still Daylight Savings Time observed here, oddly enough. XD

Wow that looks tasty. [drool]
Sort of reminds me of that type of sweets that Japan has where they marinate the leaves and then wrap them around mogi...

Haha, I hope your stomach handles the new food well too! Would hate to not be able to enjoy eating. [gonk]

Turkey has DST? [shock] I thought it was only the states that still used it. [:O]

Ikuto Akihiko Hasegawa 05-25-2013 08:45 AM

@Kirin: Haha, that's a good plan. [lol]

@Nim: You mean like sakura mochi?
http://kyotofoodie.com/wp-content/up...ai-style-1.jpg

Oddly enough, I think I prefer the grape leaves rather than the sakura mochi. XD I liked the way it smelled though. Maybe I just needed to have it fresh instead of frozen and then thawed.

My dang pass expired so I wasn't able to go! [gonk] Hopefully they'll have another trip like that and I can go then. There are some places here locally though where I can try some food out. P: Really inexpensive too.

Yup! Haha, I thought it was only the States too. Guess not. XD

Antagonist 05-25-2013 09:53 AM

Yeah!! Those! o wo I don't know how the grape leaves taste but I think it'd be better than the leaves the Japanese used for their sakura mochi, because those were nasty. xD Tasted all sour and weird...

Haha, that's interesting. o wo What's Turkey like so far that you've seen? Like what differences are there between there and the states?

musasgal 05-25-2013 10:52 AM

IKU!!!!!!!!!!
I missed ya.....how are ya?

Kirin Rosenbaum 05-25-2013 02:24 PM

*streaks through the thread*

Ikuto Akihiko Hasegawa 05-25-2013 05:24 PM

@Nim: Hahaha! I wonder what leaves they use then. I just assumed leaves from the sakura trees. [ninja] I think it helped the flavor also because the grape leaves thing was fresh. My friend said she tried some that were frozen and they were naaaasty. [lol]

Turkey's cool. 8D There's all kinds of little differences. I want to make a thread about them once I get my main computer back. [eager] But things like toilet differences, faucet differences. There's a fusion of like old and new here. You can see like a donkey-drawn cart on the same road as someone driving like a Mercedes or something. XD It's funny. The main part of the city reminds me of NYC or Tokyo, the vibe is cool. There's a mall around here too that I want to go to eventually. That will be interesting to see the differences in.

@Musa: Hey!! I haven't seen you in a while! [hug] I've been well. Adjusting to my recent move. How have you been?

-throws a lamp at Kirin- [ninja]

momochan 05-25-2013 06:33 PM

Ohhh! I can't wait for the thread [eager]
I would love to know about turkey!

do they have a lot of turkeys running around?
or have a lot of turkey in their dishes?

musasgal 05-25-2013 07:54 PM

I been good Iku. Going to Con next week....can't wait!

Antagonist 05-26-2013 03:03 AM

Yeah, I can't wait to see the thread too! [eager] It's always fun to see the differences between countries.

momochan 05-26-2013 03:05 AM

Uh-huh! :D
it'll be sweeet~ ;D

Ikuto Akihiko Hasegawa 05-26-2013 07:03 AM

@Momo: Lmao! The kind of turkey you and I are familiar with is native to North America. So none of those kind of wild turkeys roaming around here (if I understood correctly).
Lamb is the preferred meat here. [yes]

And yusss, I love all the little differences between nations. [drool]

@Musa: Ooh, what con?! [eager]

momochan 05-26-2013 07:50 AM

Damn, I was hoping they loved turkey over there! xD
oh well~

Lamb, eh? I've never had lamb before. I hear it's really good

Ikuto Akihiko Hasegawa 05-26-2013 07:51 AM

Hahah. XD Maybe they do!
Lamb is a mild meat, is good~ [yes]

Antagonist 05-26-2013 07:55 AM

Lamb is really tasty. [drool] I love lamb chops.

momochan 05-26-2013 07:56 AM

I bet it's one of those meats you can spice up and tastes really good * -*

Antagonist 05-26-2013 07:58 AM

momochan 05-26-2013 08:01 AM

Ikuto Akihiko Hasegawa 05-26-2013 09:36 AM
