But yes, we has 25.

We have a blind girl too!
Just make sure the kids aren't too grabby with it because both of the blind kitties we've had have latched on or freaked out because they didn't realize you were wanting to pick them up. SO yeah, they can hurt. x.x

Okay! I'll have to tell them that. He's currently in the bathroom with the door closed. i'm kinda afraid the other kitties will ambush him. :(

Kirin Rosenbaum 07-28-2013 12:27 PM

I never had kitties, I had a dog growing up.

Antagonist 07-28-2013 01:01 PM

I'd love a dog, but I'd probably be way too lazy to take him/her out for walks every day. So I guess a cat or some other pet that doesn't require walking would suit me better.

Well walks wouldn't have to be taken if you had a nice fenced in space for them to run around in.

Antagonist 07-28-2013 01:29 PM

Haha, unless I'm a billionaire, that's not happening here. [XD] Waaaay too crowded here in the city.

Kirin Rosenbaum 07-28-2013 04:26 PM

Didn't realize you were in the city. Do you have a dog park near you?

Antagonist 07-28-2013 04:27 PM

There's a park nearby, about ten minute's walk away from our home, but like I said, I'd probably be too lazy to take the dog out every day. [sweat]

Which one? The blind one?

We bought two new pet beds this afternoon, the only kitty that will lay in them is the blind one. xD I told hubby the rest are snobs and don't know how spoiled they really are! I guess we are calling the blind kitty Delphi or Mr. Kittums. They had named him Delphi at the shelter because of the blind oracles. :)

I think you should stick with Delphi.

I don't plan on getting one.

I wonder if momo has experience what to do with sores on kitties. Delphi had one that popped tonight, I think it's an abscess but not sure. I'm afraid to put anything on it.

Antagonist 07-29-2013 04:51 AM

I hope she's okay. D:

llonka 07-29-2013 03:40 PM

I'm sure he's fine, he's acting okay. Just not sure how to help it heal up properly.

HIM_ROCK 07-29-2013 06:00 PM

The blind kitty.

Mr Kittums that made HIM laugh.

llonka 07-29-2013 10:05 PM

Okay HIMMIE! I'll try and get you a piccy of Mr. Kittums! My son pointed out earlier that he had buggies in his bed. Poor thing had fleas. I gave him flea bath and hopefully that'll take care of it.

llonka: yup, I do. Okay, so that's good that it popped. if it swells up again and drains, that's just it healing up, it's nothing to worry about. That's what happens when they get a scratch or are bit. It'll eventually go away, it's best to leave it alone. if you need to clean up the drainage, you can use a warm wet rag, but they usually clean it up themselves. [yes]

llonka 07-29-2013 10:16 PM

Okay thanks momo, makes me feel better for not messing with it. Noticed today he had fleas, so I gave him a flea bath. So then it makes me wonder if he got a sore from trying to scratch or bite at the fleas.

Yeah, they might be freaked out by him if he has weird eyes. Some of our cats weren't that friendly to the blind ones we had, our dog wasn't a fan of her either. Just keep an eye on them when they are interacting. once they get used to each other they'll most likely play with each other and be fine ^^

yeah, he might have. or one of the cats where you got him from got too rough if they were playing. he should be fine. ^^ I'd only worry if it gets a lot worse. if it swells up and drains a few times, it just means it's taking a little longer to heal. But, I doubt it's that deep.

Oh I did go ahead and move him into my room, it's his "safe room". Dewey keeps trying to paw at him and i'm afraid he'll claw him up. I let him out of his safe room for a couple hours then take him back in there. He seems to be doing just fine. ^.^

Okay! I guess he needs his rabies shot, so I better get that done then.

momochan 07-29-2013 10:24 PM

I'm glad he's doing fine <3 Hopefully they'll all get along well. ^^ He should be fine with the pawing, Kittums will have to learn to fend for himself. Even if he's blind, he can put up a good fight when playing I'm sure~ Lucy (our blind one) is pretty rough when she plays with the other cats.

llonka 07-29-2013 10:28 PM

Even though he's de-clawed? Dewey, Rigby, Macy and Taddy still have their claws. Penny and Sophie do not.

---------- Post added 07-29-2013 at 05:36 PM ----------

Do you let you kittums in the house? Some kitty has decided it's a good idea to pee on bags that are on the kitchen counter. :/ I dunno how to keep them off the counters, table, and out of the sink. They also will jump onto the stove to get ontop of the darn fridge. It's starting to drive me nuts and I'm afraid they'll break my glass cooktop.
