Ah I see. Yeah that would be annoying.

I see.
Yeah, customer service...we're employees.
They don't seem to care that much for us. You have to cover
your own butt, because few other will.
i would try calling again, before bed.
What time were you supposed to be there, if you work
tomorrow?

Hi Citrus
I'm glad that you'll be off soon.

12-4 is what the e-schedule says. The time has a * next to it but it doesn't say what that means if anything. If I call again tonight it would have to soon stratch that customer service closes at 10pm and the store at 12am I probably won't get through to anyone now, actually. I'll have to wait till 8am tomorrow now I think

tigerangel 12-14-2013 02:56 AM

I would just wait, like you said. As long as you call early enough, it shouldn't be super busy yet.
The asterisk may mean that they plan on extending your four hour shift if it's really busy.

Stardragon 12-14-2013 02:57 AM

HiGwenahikari. Sorry Iwas on Ernya.

It would be nice if something somewhere said what it meant lol. I'm sure Dad will remind me tomorrow, he doesn't want go out in the cold anymore then I do lol If I get brushed off in the morning or told "I don't know" again I think I'm going on strike! (nah prolly not but it would be nice)

Hey starD How are you? :3

Stardragon 12-14-2013 03:03 AM

I'm okay just here and there. I'm watching the I know what you did last summer.

tigerangel 12-14-2013 03:03 AM

Going on strike or just not showing up would not be a good idea.
While you're on probation, then don't need a reason to terminate you.
I'm sure you don't want to give them any, my friend.

Heh I was already told on tuesday "If you don't learn to ask for help and act like apart of the team I'll have to let you go" I think they are already trying to find reasons lol And I really don't think they will notice if I'm not there, the paper schedule is supposed to be the "official" one and I'm not on it, my name is not even listed. Only the e-schedule seems to know I exist. [cry][illgetu] Even customer service checked the paper schedule and said I wasn't listed (which makes the hee hawing on what I should do tomorrow even more annoying)

Stardragon 12-14-2013 03:12 AM

Hey Citrus.

tigerangel 12-14-2013 03:15 AM

@Gwena
It usually takes a couple of weeks after you're on the floor for our new employees to show up on the
paper schedule.
I would talk to a head clerk or service manager about tips to help you out.
that bites that they are treating you like that, instead of helping you. [no]

Stardragon 12-14-2013 03:19 AM

Gwenahikari I would keep the job but after the holidays I would look for a new job.

Strange thing is, is another new employee with same first name is already listed! Plus if you don't show up....how do they know your even supposed to work?

She was nice about it but yeah now I'm paranoid about being fired, that like won't hurt my performance at all, nah...

tigerangel 12-14-2013 03:24 AM

Hmm..have you asked anyone about why you're not yet listed?
I don't know why they would not give you more of a chance after they put
all of that training into you.
Our store manger is super good about given people multiple chances
as opposed to firing them. We even re-hire people who have left without notice.

Stardragon 12-14-2013 03:28 AM

The two week bit is a bit retarded. New employees where I work at are pencilled in for a week and then they are in the system.

I asked em about it on Tuesday and they seemed just as confused, because I came in based on what e-schedule said, looked at the paper schedule and wasn't listed so I was like....what? And no one seemed to have an answer, they just eventually put me to work after 14 minutes of schedule flipping, and getting me confused with the person with my first name.
It wasn't the store manager that said it, it was whoever is in charge of cashiers I believe.

We also have e-schedule, where you can see your schedule online.
Gwena mentioned that she is showing up on that schedule.

@Gwena
We get mistakes on our paper schedules, also.

It wouldn't be so bad if someone knew something lol We're all just walking around with confused faces on lol I have as of today been employed there for 18 days :3

Stardragon 12-14-2013 03:37 AM

We have a paper schedule and the computers know if you are to work or not.

tigerangel 12-14-2013 03:40 AM

I'm sorry that your store employees are in a state of confusion.
We have this one front end manager who had been with the company for 30+ years.
She either knows or can find out the answer to any question you have about the company.
She can be a bit pushy at times, but I get along well with her.

Happy 18 days as a Kroger employee! [XD]

Thank you! And here's hoping I make it to 30 days! lol [cheers]

We have like one cashier (the one who trained me) who has worked at kroger for 32 years, and the hr manager as worked for them for 32 years but shes only been at this store for a year. I don't know how long the confused employees (like the customer service people I talked to today) have been there though.

The turn over at the service desk is pretty high. I have been there for seven
years and have seen the majority of the employees in the entire store come and go. Of course the entire rest of the service desk, multiple times.
