The texture of them are just so weird.
I used to get packs of sultanas for school and one time my mum accidentally bought boxes of sultana and pineapple mix. I was not pleased. I would have given them to you if you were my school chum. :>

It's been a few years since I've had dried pineapple but from what I remember it's a bit grainy? Like the fudge chunks you get in mcflurries now.
