I'm doing pretty well, a little sleepy, but otherwise well, thank you.

How about you? [:)]

I dunno iffy today has been both good and bad. My step mom and little sis gave me their gifts, dad was going to make me breakfast but he got wrapped up in business stuff and forgot. Then he said he would take me to lunch but got wrapped up in business stuff again and couldn't now he's at work. I'm looking forward to the pizza and cake tonight~ I just feel sad my dad completly ignored my birthday he didn't even get my anything. Though I was really surprised my step mom made a serious effort in getting me something she got me a japanese learning book that helps with pronounciating words, sentence structure, and culture which goes along with my other japanese learning book that focuses on the written language and kanji.

I immersed myself in the book for a few hours this morning lol!

xuvrette 06-20-2013 05:33 PM

But WHY must it be 6.30 morning? Don't tell me that is your normal wakey time. x.x

Japanese! Minakoko should post at the Kanji club thread in Nation. Me and Ikuku and Ferrara is so lonely over there... x.x
That is nice of your mom. Maybe your dad is too busy? When I was little, our family never make a fuss on birthdays. To the point that I don't even remember my parents/sibling's birthday until my last year at high school. 16 or 17.

I'm sorry that your dad did that, but cool that your step mom was trying. [:)]

The next week is going to be crazy busy. Got my daughter's 2nd birthday on the 27th, and then we're getting on a plane on the 30th for our 3 week vacation!! Excited!!

xuvrette 06-20-2013 05:54 PM

3 week vacation! that is exciting!

MinakoAxule 06-20-2013 05:55 PM

Birthdays in my family are all about that one person. No one else gets to butt in! All your food is made for you, you get to choose what happens in the day, and just everything is all good~! No one is allowed to yell at you and you are not to do any working~! It's the one day of the year where it's all about you~! So yeah we make BIG deals about birthdays in our family!

I'll go to that thread but there are two problems I don't study that much and I dunno how to type in japanese lol!!!

LiviInLove 06-20-2013 05:56 PM

Yeah!! Should be a blast!! :D I can say now that it'll not be long enough for me, but it's better than nothing, that's for sure! My daughter and hubby get to meet the rest of my family, they've met my family that lives in the states and my hubby has met a very small handful of my mum's family, those who made it over for our wedding, but now he gets to meet the rest, well most of the rest, of my crazy awesome family! ^_^

MinakoAxule 06-20-2013 05:59 PM

This year I didn't ask for anything. I know we are broke and all I want is my family. I love my family~ I also just wanted one day where I could relax and not have to think about things~ I hope that's not too much I am asking.

LiviInLove 06-20-2013 05:59 PM

Birthdays in my family sure are about the person in question but for me, having to share my birthday with my twin, I have learned to share my birthday. Birthdays here for us are all about family. <3 I know my aunties and Gran are planning a party for us once we get over there with them as they want to celebrate so little Becca gets 2 birthday parties! One with her Granny and Pops (my mother and father in law), my parents (Nana and Gramps), my sister, and my brother and his wife and son will be there too. Some of my hubby's family is also coming but it won't be all that big, but big enough for us. :) The one once we get over and settled in with my aunt over in England, I'm sure will be huge, seeing as they've not seen me in person for years. But it'll be fun. :)

EirianHikari 06-20-2013 05:59 PM

I'm going to have to go for a bit, my sister has a job interview, and she wants me to go with her. See you all later!

MinakoAxule 06-20-2013 06:05 PM

Bai Eirian~! Good luck to your sister~!

Livi it sounds like your going to have a blast!

LiviInLove 06-20-2013 06:06 PM

Minako: Oh, we will! It'll be interesting to see how Becca handles the flight and meeting all these people that she's only met via Skype. *fingers crossed it goes smoothly*

xuvrette 06-20-2013 06:10 PM

Livivi... aww.. it must be a massive party! Years not seeing? There will be a lot of hugging and what not. >.<

Minakoko~ you can type in Romaji.
Microsoft comes with Japanese input system. You can turn it on.

LiviInLove 06-20-2013 06:13 PM

Xuvrette: *laughs* It most likely will be. I've learned years ago that one can not control my Gran and aunts when it comes to parties. *chuckles* I've not been over there since I was 19 and I'm 27 now - yeah, years. I've seen most of them on Skype, but that's so not the same as being on person.

MinakoAxule 06-20-2013 06:14 PM

Ok I'll tinker with it later. Erm right now in another thread I am in fangirl mode. Head won't allow other thinking lol!

Never mind, I decided not to go, I started out, but when we got in the car, the radio, heat, movement of the van, and my pounding head kind of got to me, and I freaked out and asked to get out of the van as we were pulling out. XD I must have worried my mom too, she called from the cell and asked if I was alright, lol.

MinakoAxule 06-20-2013 06:45 PM

Do you get motion sickness? Or was is overheating?

I do get motion sickness, but that actually wasn't bothering me this time. I'm not sure how to explain it. I got in, and all of the sudden, everything just felt weird, the movement as we were pulling out of the driveway, the noise from the radio, the heat (we have no AC in that van). My head was pounding too, which I don't think helped much, and I just kind of freaked out and asked to get out.

MinakoAxule 06-20-2013 07:24 PM

It had to be a combo of a migraine, heat, and the motion. That will do anyone in!

hummy 06-20-2013 07:51 PM

I'm glad you were able to get out of the car
*hugs*

MinakoAxule 06-20-2013 07:55 PM

Probably, it was really odd though, never had it happen before.
