Ah, screw images. too much effort to keep them up. much less hassle overall too.

Of course you do, unless you're invisible, I recently read a quote somewhere that said that there's no such thing as no communication, because even the act of not saying anything is a form of communication. Which to me makes sense.

I think it's easier and best to be genuine and honest when dealing with other people, provided this genuine and honest approach is socially acceptable for the most part, any image you create is a reflection of your true self...

It's much easier to have an image that is your true self. It means that if people become your friends, they are your friends and you don't have to worry about them finding stuff out that you're trying to keep hidden.

That's right. I kind of learnt that the hard way growing up...I imagine many people would have secrets they keep to themselves, unfortunately I did that, and then for some reason let out a lot of my hidden feelings and opinions all at once...which I imagine probably shocked the people I knew...

I did that too. I got lucky though. Became friends with the numbskulls I'm friends with now.

I have friends who either did not know I went through that or they stuck by me, not many did stick with me mind you....most of my current friends are friends I either knew after that or did not know I did that at the time.
