Me and my friend 'joke' about ending up as cat ladies.
Woot today is awesome!!! I have a lady that helps me with paper work for SSI and she came over to our house today since she only had a small time to leave her office. She usually uses Tuesdays to help people here in town at the library but her co-worker called out and so she didn't have time to work at the library today. Since I have such an important case she took a half an hour to help me out with my paper work.
After working with her she said she had some food stuff to give to my family and I. I was thinking some bread and eggs kinda thing but she brought $100 worth of groceries!!! She got us chicken breast, hot dogs, chilli, rice, tuna, peanut butter, bread, oatmeal, chicken noodle soup, fresh broccoli, carrots, peppers, cucumbers, cheese, eggs, pancake mix, and syrup! This lady is a saint she takes her time out to help people get the help they need and uses donations to get families food that need it! How many people do you know that would do this?! |
That's awesome :D
That is touching to know there are such kindness.
Wish her good fortune. Cat ladies? is that equivalent to spinster? XD |
What a kind person. Good to know donations are getting to the people who need them as well.
The cat lady stereotype is kind of like the Crazy Cat Lady character from The Simpsons. Like a spinster but with lots of cats rather than any human companionship. |
ooo... but I don't want cats... :<
I animal phobia. |
I'm a crazy cat lady! I have 6 cats and I've trained most of them. One gives me a back massage every night, another does laundry with me, another helps me cook, another fetches the mail, and another is a care taker of my little sis!
... O__O
6!! Impressive. |
We only have the one cat now. She's asleep on my armchair in the front room.
Growing up I only had 1 cat at a time, then when I was in late high school a friend couldn't keep their kitten so we took him in along with the cat we had. Then my mom fell ill and went into a nursing home so I moved in with my dad and the woman he was seeing. She had 2 cats so we had then 4 cats. Over time we rescued more cats as a cat would die. We vowed though that we are not getting any more cats when the next cat dies though. Six is a little overwhelming!
I can imagine! We thought about getting another cat since Willow's sister died quite young but it didn't happen and she seems content enough.
... I would figure 4 is already a lot...
You cat lovers. XD |
My friend wanted to look after his cat's kittens (which gave him seven cats in total) but he couldn't afford to in the end and a charity rehomed the kittens.
Mysticeyes - From what I can tell hospitals typically are still one of the biggest things. Though o.o I live near the biggest building in the world... but due to it being airplane related nothing else anywhere near it is very big.
Mina - That is amazing... she must have a great job. *cough* I had 8 cats at one point... 5 fully grown and 3 kittens... |
HIM only has 2 cats.
HIM's been banned by the parents on getting more. |
Haha... 2 cats is enough XD
Once I lose my cat I really don't know what I'll get... I want a fennec fox but they're illegal here. |
Hedgehog's done a MAHOOSIVE poop in the driveway.
Your Mahoosive meanas... big or smelly?
Well it's hugely massive.
manhoosive? Well... I learned a new word today...
I thought elephant's dung is the biggest?
HIM thought it was the neighbours cat that had done it when HIM saw one first time. Hedgepig does cat sized poops.
Aren't they about the same size as a cat when they get bigger?
It's about same size as a large rat only more rounded.
Interesting... so good to know... hedgehog's fault don't blame the cat
