Oo that's a bit tricky. I think my mum just told me that she (my first gold fish) went to fishy heaven and is swimming around the clouds. I remember the day well. I came home from the markets with my face painted to find that she had died. My mum insisted that we would still take a photo of my face paint despite it being all streaky from my tears, haha.
As insensitive as it sounds, could you quickly go find a replacement to avoid the dramas?
I think it should be big enough for one but fish do get lonely. Maybe you could find a tank at an second hand store.
