Good, though my cranberry sauce ended up cranberry jell xD Last year it was really thin, this year it was jelly, and I followed the same recipe xD Sis was happy though because she likes cranberry jell [lol]

hummy 11-29-2013 02:26 AM

don't'cha love that?
i'm happy she loved it

GwenaHikari 11-29-2013 02:27 AM

I prefer the thinner cranberry product but homemade jell is not bad, I like it better then canned [lol]

Wonderlands 11-29-2013 02:33 AM

Aww, Happy Birthday Vanora! I hope you're having a super duper day. That cake looks sooo good...

..where's my invitation? >.>

llonka 11-29-2013 02:34 AM

I'm going to be a party pooper and say i'm not a big fan of turkey day. i'd rather stay home with my boys. *hides in the corner*

GwenaHikari 11-29-2013 02:35 AM

Hello wonder! :D

@llonka What does thanksgiving have to do with leaving your kids?[:?:]

Wonderlands 11-29-2013 02:36 AM

The only thing I like about it is the sales on the internet. :> (We obviously do not celebrate it here, haha)
I reckon it's too close to Christmas which would make the month so stressful, like neither holiday is cheap!

GwenaHikari 11-29-2013 02:37 AM

@wonderland Not cheap? o.o

hummy 11-29-2013 02:40 AM

hiya, lannie!

it's okay, llonka
it would be nice to not have to drag them all over God's green earth

Wonderlands 11-29-2013 02:42 AM

Gwena: Like buying double the amount of food and stuff in such a small amount of time. Apparently turkeys are expensive? Idk how Thanksgiving works like if one family provides or guests bring things too. If it's like Christmas in my family, and no guests bring anything so they rely on the host family to do it so doing it twice would kinda suck, haha.

llonka 11-29-2013 02:45 AM

well i mean instead of going to a smoke filled family member's house, i'd rather stay home. I had a headache this morning that turned into a migraine after being at the in-laws. we walked in and about two to three people were smoking all at the same time. [stare] it was also very hot in there.

hummy 11-29-2013 02:45 AM

it's a great holiday
leftover rock.....for 3 days or so
=p

Wonderlands 11-29-2013 02:46 AM

Hey hummy~ I hope you're having a good day. :)

GwenaHikari 11-29-2013 02:46 AM

Well at my house their are no guests, just the four of us so, xD But some people do a carry in type thing, (everyone brings a dish), and some families make everything and invite people over. There is not set way, its whatever you feel like. Christmas is spent the same way at my house. And turkeys aren't bad if you find a good deal, and there usually are lots of deals, so thanksgiving & Christmas times are the best times to stock up on turkeys and hams actually.

@llonka then just stay home? o.o we rarely go anywhere on thanksgiving ourselves, if your husband acts up punch him out cold, till dinner [lol]

it's going alright
watching harry potter movies

how is your day?

Wonderlands 11-29-2013 03:00 AM

Gwena: It's so much nicer with just the immediate family. We've dodged ours for the past few years, thank god. My mum gets so stressed when they do come though, even if it's just boxing day. Oh that's pretty cool, it would be really unfair if there weren't any sort of special deals of turkeys and hams.

hummy: Oh nice! Which Harry Potter film is your favourite?
It's going pretty well, just sitting here thinking about all the things I should be doing, haha.

Damia Flagg 11-29-2013 03:02 AM

We made it to Grandma's house & back home today.
We did an early departure because I have to work tomorrow & it is a long drive to her house.
The day ended on a positive note, we went to Adder's house & watched RED 2. I have been wanting to see that movie for a while.

We do not mind having family over (our family is pretty nice) but our house is never presentable enough [lol], its fun going over to their houses though but we never have the gas (its always something!).

Yep. All food have certain "sale" periods, times of the year where they go on sale, many people keep track of it and plan accordingly to buy extra and keep stocked up until the next sale [lol]

Ha ha.
Tomorrow will be horrible at work. We do at least get to come in 30 minutes earlier so that we might get back before the truck leaves.
We will have to catch up from being off a day.
I don't expect to be home until after 6:30 pm tomorrow. It will make for a long day, I'll probably head to work about 7:30 am & I will just hope to get done earlier.

I'm happy we had a decent time at Grandma's house. I could have done without one of the ones who was there, but I did a good job of ignoring her.
If you haven't seen RED or RED 2 I really do recommend those movies.
I love seeing Helen Mirren, John Malkovich & Bruce Willis in one movie.

Broccoli Mallet 11-29-2013 03:35 AM

Aww yiss, I got an Iris on my main account now ;D
