we need more blankets and a box or basket for her to give birth in, and i'm just, worried i'll have to cut the umbilical cords and clean them out and omg... halp. overwhelming.

Nono, you shouldn't have to cut the umbilical cords. the mother dog takes care of that herself, and the tiny bit that's on them with dry up and fall off. That's one thing you don't have to worry about. <3

Give her a dark quiet place to birth them. Animals usually like being alone in quiet places so they can focus on taking care of their babies.
