" Alright. But we should get you some clothing first." Jenna said.

"I have these clothes." She said pointing to the clothes she is wearing.

"But you need more then one outfit." Kirin said. "Why don't we get in the car and you can eat while we head to a store to get you some new outfits."

Jenna nodded looking down at the ground.

" Let me help you Kasandra into the back seat. " Jenna said and opened the door. She wanted them all to be safe during this long journey.

Kasandra smiled. "Thank you." She let Jenna help her.

Kirin handed her her food. "here you go sweetie."

"Thank you." She started eating.

" Got your seat belt on Kassie? I hope it's okay if I call you that if not I understand. ' Jenna said.

"I don't care." She said with a smile as she ate the food Kirin had brought her.

"Would you like me to drive a bit?" Kirin asked Jenna.

" Sure you can. " Jenna said with a smile. It would be good for them to take turns driving during this trip. " Should we also stop at a store that sells both clothing and food. I figure by the time we get to the next town it will be late. " She thought out loud.

"We'll see what we can find." Kirin said getting into the drivers seat. He adjusted the seats and mirrors. "We all ready?" He asked.

"I am!" Kasandra said with a smile.

" I am too." Jenna said with a smile on her face. She was glad they were able to help one of their own today.

Kirin started the car and headed up the road. Soon Kasandra was fast asleep. Kirin smiled seeing this in the rearview mirror.

"We should probably get her a booster seat." He said softly to Jenna as he continued to drive. He could admit he is finding himself falling in love, in fatherly way, with this little girl who had come into their lives. He was glad they were there to help her.

" Sounds like a good idea." Jenna said with a soft smile. She was becoming protective of Kasandra like a mother would and would do anything to keep the girl safe. She felt sad that the girl's parents had kicked her out of the house.

"At least they didn't turn her in." Kirin said, as if reading Jenna's mind. Soon he found an exit for a mall. He got off the freeway and headed towards the mall. He hoped they could find everything they needed in one stop.

" I know we'll be able to find everything here. " Jenna said as she saw the mall.

"I hope so, I won't rest easy until we get to the school." He said with a soft sigh.

Kasandra woke with a small yawn. "Are we there?" She wondered not awake yet.

" Yep we are sweetie. What do you want to look at first?" Jenna asked and was making a mental list of what Kassie would need.

"I don't know." Kassie said rubbing her eyes. "Can I get some toys? I know I don't need them but..."

"Of course you can get some toys," Kirin said with a smile. "Nothing to big though."

"O.k.!" She said with a huge grin.

Jenna got out of the car and went to help Kassie out.She would be glad when they arrived at the school. But Jenna knew that it would be a few days till they got there. She just hoped that it would be a safe journey.

Kirin locked the car and picked up Kassie. Kassie giggled and snuggled Kirin. Kirin took Jenna's hand as the three of them headed into the mall.

Jenna loved feeling this happy. She had always wanted to have a family of her own and felt that Kirin and Kassie were the closest thing she had to family right now. Her parents had never understood what she wanted and that had made Jenna feel sad. With Kirin and Kassie she knew this was what she wanted.

Kirin was ever vigilant while they shopped. He was so happy to have a family who actually cared about him. After buying all the essential the three of them head to the toy store. Kassie walks up and down the doll aisle trying to pick out a doll. Kirin stood next to Jenna just watching her.

Jenna smiled at Kassie and remembered being her age. She had loved dolls until about age 7 and then became interested in plants and science. It was about that time she learned her moods could change how the weather was.

"Which one do I pick? I like them all." She said with a pout.

Kirin chuckled.

Jenna chuckled too. " How about the fairy one you are holding in your hands?" She suggested.

"Yes, but I like this one too." She held up a stuffed one. The fairy wasn't really for sleeping with.

"Then lets get you both." Kirin said with a smile.

" I agree. " Jenna said with a smile. She knew that Kassie would be happy with both toys knowing that made Jenna happy. " Ready to check out?" She asked.
