Epic Overattachment
 

Sabriel yawned and stretched a bit, setting her book off to the side. She'd been reading for a while, so she figured she should probably go stretch her legs. And find some food.

Jensen grumbled a bit as he put his feet up on the desk. His charge was being no fun at all.

"You know, you could go out," he hinted, looking at her. "Call up your friend, whats-her-name, and go bar hopping." And yes, he did actually know Sabriel's name perfectly well. He just did that all the time.

Jasmine glanced at Jensen, holding her page in her book with a finger.

"I could," she agreed. "Whether or not I will, though, that's the question."

Jared watched Sabriel as she got up to walk around.

"Perhaps a walk around the block might be a good idea?" he suggested. "I'm sure your friend wouldn't mind going out with you, if you're getting bored."

"You should," Jensen said, reaching over to her and poking her. "Get out somewhere. You sat in here and read last night. And the night before." He poked her again before pushing her phone over towards her. A not-so-subtle hint.

"If she's not busy," Sabriel said, picking up her phone to text Jasmine. "We'll see. You can come too y'know."

Hey, you busy? I was thinking of taking a walk.

"But I'm reading," Jasmine replied. "And I like this book." Still, she reached over for her phone just as it started to vibrate.

Sweet irony. I've been getting nudged towards the door for a while now. I've been told to go out for the evening. Want to go?

"Perhaps," Jared replied. "I'm sure her partner will need looking-after."

Sure, Sabriel texted back quickly.

"Yeah, your job never ends," she teased Jared with a grin.

"So was that a yes?" Jensen pressed.

"Seems like," Jasmine replied. She glanced at Jensen before setting her book down and going to put on an actual nice shirt.

"Apparently," Jared agreed dryly, although he grinned a bit.

Jensen grinned in victory and got up, getting ready to go.

"Aw, poor Jared," Sabriel teased, going to grab a better shirt and actual pants.

Jasmine gave him a teasing swat on the back of the head as she went by.

"What did I do to get stuck with you, again?" she asked as she looked for her shoes.

Jared rolled his eyes a bit but waited for Sabriel to finish getting ready to go.

"Kicked too hard before you were born," Jensen said with a grin, though he did wait semi-patiently for her.

"Okay, I'm ready." Sabriel stretched and headed for the door, grabbing her keys and purse.

Jasmine snorted, but slipped her shoes on and grabbed her bag.

"Let's go," she said.

Jared nodded and followed Sabriel out the door, locking it behind him.

Sabriel headed over to Jasmine's house, figuring they might as well take one car. Jared could drive if necessary. He wasn't the best driver but he was better than Sabriel when she was drunk.

"Oh look, we get cab service now too." Jensen grinned as he pulled open the door for Jasmine. "What's an acceptable tip? A dollar?"

Jasmine snorted.

"Honestly, Jensen, if you start hitting on Jared again while we're in the car..." She shook her head a bit.

Jared was perfectly content to let Sabriel drive, taking the back seat so Jasmine could have the front.

Jensen grinned and sat in the back, waggling his eyebrows at Jared.

Sabriel snorted at them and shook her head. "So where do we want to go?"

"Doesn't matter much to me," Jasmine replied. "I was just told to go out. The 'where' wasn't specified."

Jared rolled his eyes a bit and ignored Jensen.

"Alright. Well, we can swing by the park."

"Nope, try club." Jensen grinned.

"I'm ignoring you now. Park, all-night diner, something like that." Sabriel shrugged. "Any input?"

"As much as I'm normally inclined to disagree with him," Jared said, "maybe somewhere with a bit more people would be a good idea." Because yes, he wanted Sabriel to find her soul mate, and going to the park wasn't the way to do it.

"Alright. Well, the diner usually has people, or we could check a few other places. And no, no bars, I don't feel like drinking." Sabriel headed for the diner first.

"Maybe not the diner," Jasmine said. "We've been to the diner a million times. Let's go into town and see what we can find. I kind of want to try someplace new. Sound like a plan?"

"Sure." Sabriel didn't even have to change course really, so she drove them into town to cruise around and see what looked good. "Let me know if you spot anything so I can pull over."

Jasmine watched as they got into town, glancing around to see what was around.

"What about there?" she asked, gesturing to a little Italian place.

"Sure." Sabriel pulled over and got into the parking lot. "It's Italian, I'm not going to say no to Italian food."

"Awesome," Jasmine said. When the car stopped, she got out and stretched a bit.

Jared waited until Sabriel was out of the car before following her. He knew she could take care of herself, but that didn't mean he still couldn't look after her.

Jensen followed Jasmine inside, staying quiet as he looked around.

Sabriel picked her seat when they were shown to a table, grinning. "This place reminds me of that restaurant I used to go with my parents when I was little. Remember that place, Jare?"

"Indeed I do," Jared replied, nodding. "This does have the same feel to it. It's comfortable."

Jasmine sat down across from Sabriel and looked around.

"It's a nice place," she commented.

"It is." Sabriel smiled, flipping through the menu. "I love family places like this."

Jensen snorted and settled down next to Jasmine, relaxing. It was a nice place, he kind of liked it.
