Jensen nodded and walked next to her back to the car. He did keep an eye out, though. He could be paranoid, if it meant keeping Jasmine safe.
Sabriel had mostly finished her gelato by the time they got back to the car, and she looked at Jared. "You want the last of it or shall I toss it?" |
Jasmine knew Jensen was a bit paranoid, but she didn't comment. One could never be too careful, nowadays.
"No sense in wasting it," Jared said, accepting the cup and the last couple of bites of gelato. |
Jensen opened her door for her, stretching briefly.
"So, anywhere else we wanted to go tonight?" Sabriel grinned and got in the car, letting Jared enjoy the gelato. Although he didn't have to eat, she knew he liked occasional sweets. |
"Not really," Jasmine replied. "We got out and talked to people, I think I've filled my socializing quota for tonight."
Jared finished the gelato and threw the empty cup in the trash before going to get in the car. |
Jensen heaved a sigh but nodded, settling in. Honestly, he was kind of glad she was going back home. Then he didn't have to share her.
Sabriel waited until everyone was in the car to start driving, heading back to Jasmine's house first. |
Once they got there, Jasmine gave her friend a quick hug.
"Thanks for the ride," she said. |
"No problem." Sabriel smiled. "I'll see you in a few days, then? For lunch?" For their weekly lunch to rant about work.
|
"Of course," Jasmine said, grinning. "See you then."
|
"See ya." Sabriel grinned and drove the rest of the way home.
"Well, guess we can do whatever now." Jensen stretched out and headed for the door. |
