I should be around, just depends on what hubby has planned and if boys let me play.

Sounds like you'll be getting a lot of streetpasses at least! :D

lunanuova 08-03-2013 01:21 PM

That reminds me, I was wondering whether any of you get a lot of street passes? if you think your area is likely to have other players nearby or you live somewhere where it is more unlikely. I thought that I would never get any steetpasses where I live and so far I have had 2 or 3. I would think that if you lived in a city you would get a lot more etc.

llonka 08-03-2013 01:24 PM

I've had several, and its strange because they'll show up and i've not been out of my house. O.O

lunanuova 08-03-2013 05:02 PM

Thats good! I went for a walk and picked up someone. I think I'm more likely to detect kids on it though. Yesterday I switched on my DS and found someone already and I was just in my house. I wonder how far the range is?

llonka 08-03-2013 05:38 PM

I have no idea, I think it's strange though.

Sounds like you have a neighbor! :3 Getting multiple streepasses from the same person is good for find mii, and balloons/toys in New Leaf.

I work downtown, and I get on average 1-2 street pass a day.

Also, I made some dresses from Alice: Madness Returns.. is anyone interested? They look something like the 1st and 4th dress here: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-9BvjUDcxg4...Untitled-1.jpg

llonka 08-03-2013 08:39 PM

Those are cute dresses, though I don't know what that is. :(

lunanuova 08-04-2013 07:54 PM

Risque: do you take your 3DS with you to work?

It's an Alice in Wonderland videogame. It's really cool! [heart]

@ Lunanuova: Yeah. I take public transit there too.

llonka 08-04-2013 09:40 PM

Risque- Oh cool!

So anyone else excited for the fireworks tonight? I am! [squee]

Risque 08-04-2013 10:49 PM

Yes! Hope everyone has been stocking up on fireworks! [mrgreen]

lunanuova 08-05-2013 02:26 PM

Isabelle gave me a firework and now it costs 200 bells to dispose of? She's getting a whack on the head with my net...

Risque 08-05-2013 07:46 PM

I think she gives unlimited fountain fireworks. o_o So she is essentially draining us all of bells in her roundabout way.
I have a few duplicates of the Redd items, if anyone wants them. No charge. I just wanna give em away. [lol]
I do need a Love Tester still.

lunanuova 08-06-2013 10:43 PM

She gave me a firework and a star bopper-headband but didn't want to give me anything after that. I will have to remember to be online for the next firework night. Do you guys keep a lot of your items in your closet (furniture and clothes) or do you sell them and just order from the catalogue when needed? Also, I realised that you can essentially do what you like to the trees on the island, do any of you re-design it or use it for anything useful?

Risque 08-07-2013 06:22 AM

I try to keep three types of items. 1) Unreorderable items 2) completed sets and outfits 3) Items I can resell to other players.
If you are low on space you can also attach your items to letters and then save the letters. It literally doubles your storage space.

Haven't thought about redesigning the island. Have you done any arranging? 0: I noticed that Lloid offers an axe on the island, though it has always left me wondering what its purpose was on an island so tiny. [lol]

lunanuova 08-07-2013 11:55 AM

I thought the same. I didn't understand why he would be so happy to give me an axe to use on the island. I have done anything to it yet. I just had the idea that you could use it as like an orchard for fruit to then sell back at home. Are the bushes on the island re-plantable or when you dig them up do they disappear?

llonka 08-07-2013 01:55 PM

Pretty sure the bushes disappear. Boys have dug up some in our main town and they are gone. [cry]

lunanuova 08-07-2013 03:54 PM

I found out the hard way! How do you get them in your main town then? Do you buy them from the gardening store? I also realised that you can't take fruit with you to the island so my idea has gone out the window on designing the island with fruits.

llonka 08-07-2013 03:56 PM

Granny will sell them in the island gift shop, the hibiscus ones anyways. Once the flower shop expands you can get more different kinds.

I think you can still pick some fruit off the tours and then plant them on the island. I guess that just ensures that the island retains the native fruits and all.

Shame about the hibiscus though. ):

lunanuova 08-07-2013 07:09 PM

That's a good idea, thanks Risque!

Some Random Randomness 08-08-2013 04:35 PM

I picked up the bundle as well. Got lucky because they're not that available here in the Netherlands, but my local gamestore had one that was reserved but never picked up. :) Otherwise I would have bought a secondhand 3ds xl.

I was a huge fan of AC:WW, but somehow the news of NL slipped me. I do love it though. I named my village St. Ping, and recently Aurora, a penguin, visited my town with the camping spot, and decided to stay. So now I have a penguin. :D

llonka 08-08-2013 05:10 PM

Aww cute! I wish I could a cute villager like that! I have two kitties, two froggies, two squirrels, a zebra, a bunnie, and some wierd bird stork thing who thinks i'm his best friend. [stare] Yeah Phil freaks me out haha. I guess i have some cute ones...

lunanuova 08-08-2013 06:59 PM

Random: I was quite similar, I was very fond of AC:WW but the news of NL didn't really surface much and even when it did I wasn't in the frame of mind to want to purchase it. Seeing others on Menewsha mentioning playing NL kind of inspired me to look into it more and I thought the limited edition 3DS looked so nice. It was lucky that that person didn't pick it up! I bet you are very glad you got the get the limited edition one.

I've never had a penguin in any of my towns and I don't think I have actually seen one anywhere else..

I would like better villagers but I feel to bad letting any of them go when I have a full town. And it's always the ones I like best that want to leave [cry]

Personally I'm not very fond of either the frog villagers or the mouse villagers. I have always had male jocks of both of them and they have not been very cute at all I actually think the stalk one(s) are quite cool of what I have seen, I think they are more interesting the more weirdly shaped animal that they are!

I'm just currently wishing that I can have the hairdressers built soon. It should be the first thing built!
