"Yeah well I like my jeans." Dean got into the car, just sitting there for a minute. He was half-tempted to drive around town a bit and give Sam and Kyra a bit more time together. Kyra was a bit freaky, but she already knew about all the hunting stuff, and Sam needed a woman. Desperately. "Right, food or pick up the other two?"
|
"Yes," Runa replied, getting into the passenger side. She grinned a bit. "Pick up some food, then get them and take it all back to the hotel."
|
"Pick a place, then," Dean said as he started driving back towards decent civilization where things weren't expensive.
|
"Find a Wendy's or something," Runa said as she took the pins out of her hair and shook out the strands. "We'll have to figure out how to pull this off, it won't be easy getting that horn out of the case, let alone out of the building."
|
"We can use Kyra as a distraction," Dean said with a grin. "Have her go distract a guard or two, five minutes in and out."
|
Runa automatically opened her mouth to veto the suggestion, then paused.
"Actually, that might work," she said. "She and I distract the guards and mess with the cameras, you and Sam go in and get the horn." She grinned. "Perks of being demon-spawned, I can get electricity and stuff to go haywire." |
Dean grinned. "Awesome. Tomorrow, then, so we can get the other two on board." He found a drive-through and pulled in. "Alright, what am I getting?"
|
Runa thought for a moment before sending a quick text to Kyra. Once she got the answer, she showed the text to Dean, along with her own order.
|
Dean already knew what Sam wanted, and he ordered extra food, because he knew someone would eat it. He paid (since it wasn't really his money anyway) and started handing bags over to her.
"Does your friend always eat so healthy?" he asked, making a face at the two salads; one for Kyra, one for Sam. |
"Usually," Runa replied. "I figure it's an angel thing, or else a personal thing." Because, while Runa didn't mind the occasional salad, she didn't eat them as often as Kyra did. She preferred more meat.
|
"Freakin' rabbits," Dean grumbled. Then he paused and grinned. "Think if we put them in a room and fed them they'd reproduce like rabbits?" He was (mostly) teasing.
|
Runa snickered.
"No," she replied. "Not unless Kyra wanted it. Elsewise she'd make sure nothing happened at all." |
Dean just snickered and shook his head, driving back to the library to pick up the other two so they could go eat.
|
Runa moved to the back seat so Sam could take the front with Dean, and once she was in she handed them their food.
"We think we might have a tentative plan," she said. "We can discuss it when we get to the hotel." Sam raised an eyebrow and looked at his brother. It was unusual for Dean to go along with anyone's plan but his own, at least willingly. |
"A plan, already?" Kyra blinked. "Alright." She slid in next to Sam in the back, already more relaxed about him than she had been.
"And we got food. Rabbit food for you two, real food for us." Dean grinned. |
"A tentative plan," Runa said.
"And just because you don't like vegetables, Dean, doesn't mean they aren't real food," Sam pointed out as he accepted his salad. |
Kyra snorted and took her own salad, waiting until they got back to the hotel to fix hers how she liked it. She moved into one of the rooms, since they had rooms next to each other basically, setting her food down.
Dean followed her in, since they still had to talk, taking some of the food with him. |
Runa followed, already working on her fries, and Sam went in last, making sure (out of habit) that they weren't followed.
"So, what's this plan?" he asked once they were in the same room. |
"Kyra and Runa distract the guards while we go in and steal the damn thing," Dean said, munching on a fry.
"Ah. Wonderful." Kyra rolled her eyes. |
"Hey, if they're paying attention to us, they aren't paying attention to the cameras we're breaking," Runa pointed out around a chicken nugget. "And they're paying even less attention to a pair of guys who might or might not be working late."
|
Kyra grumped wordlessly, which was agreement.
"Good. Any problems, Sammy?" He looked at Sam, raising an eyebrow. |
"No, actually," Sam said, seeming surprised. "It's a good plan, considering what we need to do."
|
Dean nodded. "Good. Tonight, then," he said with a brief grin. "Gives us a few hours to prepare."
Kyra nodded. The sooner they got this over with, the better. |
Runa nodded as well.
The plan went surprisingly well, all things considered. The guys even managed to keep from setting off the security alarm until the last minute, so everyone was able to get away without being caught and they were able to get the horn back to the hotel room. "Well that was fun," Runa commented when they were safely in the room. "You have a weird definition of fun," Sam replied. |
"Yup." Kyra just grinned, though she was keeping a good distance away from the Horn. It gave off weird vibes, and she didn't like it.
So when Cas popped into the hotel room, she barely jumped. "I see you got it." Cas looked at the Horn for a moment. "Good. I need it." |
