"I can just picture it," Runa said, throwing on more salt as the plants shrieked. "Leaving one on Crowley's doorstep, 'here's a flesh-eating flower, courtesy of one spawn of Azazel'."
|
Dean started a bit at that but didn't comment, because he figured now was not the time. Instead he burned a few more plants.
On the other end of the plant maze, Kyra sneezed as (or so it seemed) the plants emitted some kind of powder or pollen, still shrieking. She wiggled her nose a bit and blinked to try and get it out of her eyes. "The hell is that?" she muttered. |
"I have no idea," Sam said as he pulled his shirt up to cover his nose and mouth. His eyes watered as the pollen got to them.
Runa coughed as a burst of pollen got directly in her face, and she waved her hands to clear it. "The hell?" she sputtered. |
Kyra sneezed and tried to hurry up with finishing off the plants, throwing salt on everything and trying to scorch the earth as much as possible to discourage further growth.
Dean spluttered a bit as some got in his eyes, and he sneezed as well. "Okay, that's it, I hate these things," he growled, burning them with more gusto. |
Runa waved her flamethrower around, trying to burn the pollen out of the air. It worked, to a degree; the pollen turned into bright sparks as it caught and burned up, but there was a lot of it.
Sam salted the earth as well, making sure to cover everywhere he saw ashes or pollen. |
By the time they were finally done, Kyra was an odd mix of exhausted and almost hyper, unable to hold still. She drummed her fingers on her thigh as she waited for the all-clear sign from the brothers.
Dean finished his portion of the inspection and stood up straight again, cracking his back with a little groan. |
Sam finished his own inspection, throwing down a bit more salt for good measure, and then nodded to Dean. His end was good. He signaled to Kyra that they were done.
Runa could feel heat rising in her body as she flushed a little, and her breathing got a bit shallower. She knew what she was feeling, and part of her mind was puzzled about it, but more of her just wanted to get back to the hotel room already and get Dean into bed. |
Kyra, on the other hand, had no idea what was going on. She started to feel a bit flushed as she followed Sam back to the Impala, still drumming her fingers against her thigh as she tried to analyze her symptoms.
Dean got into the front seat with Runa and had a few moments indulging himself in a nice little fantasy involving her and his Baby before he pulled himself together and started driving. Oddly enough, he was the one in control the most. |
Sam was in control, as well. He hadn't noticed much, aside from the fact he was still covered in dust and pollen, and he tried to shake off as much as he could before he got into the Impala.
Runa got into the car as well, sitting languidly in the front seat. Oh yes, she definitely knew what she wanted when they got back to the hotel. And she was pretty sure she'd be able to get it. |
Dean wasted no time driving back, because he wanted to take a shower to get all the crap off him. He parked and got out, stretching a bit.
By that time, Kyra was flushed and if possible more fidgety, and she didn't know what to do with herself. |
Runa eyed Dean appreciatively as he stretched, and followed him inside. Finally, some privacy.
Sam noticed how fidgety Kyra was. "You alright?" he asked her. |
Dean noticed the look on Runa's face and grinned. Hey, he could get on board with that.
"Um, yes, I mean, I think so," Kyra said, her pupils dilating as she looked at him. She swallowed as it suddenly occurred to him just how good those jeans looked on him. |
"You sure?" Sam asked as he went to open the door to their room. "You seem... uncomfortable. Did one of the plants manage to get you or something?"
|
"I... it spat some pollen at me," Kyra said, so distracted she wasn't even paying attention to what was on the other side of the door. "It must be poison or something."
|
"We all got covered in pollen," Sam said as he opened the door. "That can't be--" He stopped dead when he stepped into the room. Gabriel was sprawled on the bed waiting for them, with the sheet up to his waist.
"Well, well," the angel said, grinning. "Isn't this a pleasant surprise?" |
Kyra saw Gabriel and positively squeaked, hiding behind Sam and curling one hand in his shirt, partially to steady herself and partially so she could try and control herself.
|
"What? No reaction from you, Sam?" Gabriel asked. "Not pleased to see me?"
"I'm wondering why the hell you're on a bed in my room," Sam said. He tried very hard to ignore Kyra behind him. Her breathing was high and shallow, her skin was warm, and he had seen her pupils dilated. He knew what all of those together meant. "Huh," Gabriel said. "You must not have gotten a strong enough hit." He raised his hand and a golden puff of dust hit Sam full in the face, covering him and Kyra in it. |
Kyra shivered and pressed herself closer to Sam's back, swallowing. Oh she was already well under the influence, she just didn't know what to do with herself.
She did peek out at Gabriel, though. |
A while later, all was quiet again. Runa stretched lazily and settled in, totally relaxed and satisfied.
|
Dean was stretched out next to her, half-asleep already but awake enough to grin lazily.
|
"Trained by Hell's finest," Runa murmured, half-turning to look at him. "What do you think?"
|
"Definitely one of my best," Dean said with a grin. "What about you? You seemed to enjoy yourself."
|
"It was fantastic," Runa replied, grinning. "Definitely some of the best."
|
Dean snickered and shook his head, stretching out briefly before he yawned.
"Well, maybe we'll manage a round two. After I've slept." |
"Mmm, we'll see," Runa said, settling in.
In the next room, Sam and Kyra had already drifted off to sleep. Gabriel, on the other hand, had pulled on a pair of jeans and was sitting in the chair in the room, keeping watch. |
