Michael nodded and started cleaving through the masses of demons. Because most of the ones at the gate were weaker, they fled quickly before the wrath of the archangel, leaving them a clear path.

Runa picked off the ones stupid enough to try to attack them, and then moved on ahead to open the Hellgate. She held it open just long enough for Michael to get through, and then slipped through behind him and let it close.

Michael brushed himself off and turned luminous eyes on her.

"Now, you wish me to deal with Crowley?"

"First, I need to find a phone and let the others know I'm back out of Hell," Runa said. "Then we can turn you loose on Crowley."

Michael nodded and let her get on with it. He could wait for now.

It didn't take long for Runa to find a pay phone. They had ended up near a gas station, luckily, and Runa managed to bum some change off of the attendant inside. Quickly, she dialed Dean's number.

Dean answered after two rings. "Yeah?" he answered, glancing at Sam and Cas.

"Hey, Dean," Runa said. "I'm back. In one piece, even."

"Where are you?" Dean asked, getting up and grabbing his keys. "I can come pick you up."

"I'm in..." Runa looked around for some sort of sign. "Ten miles outside of Coldwater, Ohio. But one thing, Dean. I... kind of picked someone up on my way out, fair warning."

"On your way out?" That made Dean stop in his tracks. "Who are you talking about, Runa?"

"I figure we need a bit more firepower to deal with Crowley," Runa said. "So I... Kind of broke an archangel out of the Cage and got us the firepower."

Dean groaned quietly. "Please tell me you did not let Lucifer out of the cage." He started for his car again.

"What? No, Dean, I'm not that stupid," Runa replied. "He's still down there. There were two angels in that cage, you know." She paused for a moment. "Just... Warn Cas and Gabriel? So they have time to get used to the idea?"

"Yeah, that'll end badly otherwise," Dean muttered. "I'll warn them, and I'll be there in a few hours."

"Thanks," Runa said. "We're at the gas station ten miles outside of town, we'll wait for you here."

"I'll be there soon," Dean promised. "Heads up, guys, Runa broke Michael out to help us, so get used to the idea because I'll be back with them both in a while."

That caused a poof of feathers from Gabriel.

"What?" he asked. "What made her do that?"

Runa hung up the phone with a bit of a sigh.

"Now we wait here," she said. "Dean will be here in a few hours to pick us up." She looked at Michael. "Once we figure out a plan, I'll let you go off and do your thing." Under her breath, she added, "and once I have Charlie on speed-dial."

"She thinks we need more firepower to aim at Crowley," Dean said, shrugging. "Can't do anything about it now." Much as he didn't like it.

Michael nodded, though he was rather curious who this Charlie was.

Gabriel grumbled under his breath at that. He definitely Did Not want to deal with his oldest brother. Michael was kind of a dick.

Runa sighed and settled in to wait.

"You know, for such a scrawny vessel, it must really pack a punch for you to tackle Lucifer like that," she commented.

"This vessel is a poor representation of what I actually am," Michael said. "But yes, I am pleased I still have the skill to hold my brother down when he is being a little brat."

Runa just stared at him for a moment.

"I'm sorry, let me just reboot my brain for a second, because I've never heard Satan being called a little brat before," she said, biting her lip to keep from snickering. "Ugh, if I wasn't me and you weren't you, we might actually have ended up friends."

Michael snorted. "Except for the fact that I am rarely on this plane, on top of everything else," he said, his voice dry.

"That too," Runa said. She stretched a bit. "So Dean should be here in a few hours, and we can figure out what to do from there. Crowley is the main concern, but Raphael isn't helping things at all. He needs to be stopped."

Michael's attention had been pulled away from those issues, though.

"Dean? The Winchesters are still around?" He raised his eyebrows. "I would have thought they would have been killed by now."
