Runa pulled her two out the door as well, not letting either of them get far from her.
Gabriel meandered into the kitchen and leaned against the doorframe, not immediately saying anything. |
Bobby glanced at him and got down a second glass, though he didn't pour anything in it yet.
"So, sounds like you've been traveling with the boys." |
"On and off," Gabriel replied, taking a seat at the table. "About as long as the girls, though I met the boys a while back."
"And what's your connection with 'em?" Bobby looked at him carefully. Because he was totally allowed to still be protective of the boys.
Gabriel grinned a bit.
"We worked together on a couple things," he said easily. |
"Uh huh." Bobby gave him my best "I take bullshit from no one" look. "Do I look like I was born yesterday?"
Gabriel snorted.
"I watched your primordial ancestors squirm out of the mud," he retorted, a bit of a bitchface forming. "Yeah, compared to me, you were born yesterday." |
Bobby sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. "Cut the crap," he said. "You wouldn't be here if you just worked with them a few times."
"No, you're right," Gabriel said, nodding. "It did start out as work. But then Feelings got in the way, and those are kind of messy things, and one thing led to a threesome and here we are."
Bobby looked at him for a moment, his face blank.
"Run that by me again." He definitely needed to hear that again. |
Gabriel shrugged.
"I managed to get Sam and Kyra into a threesome," he said. "It's not a bad thing. And hey, Cas managed one too, I was surprised." |
Bobby sighed. "Those boys will be the death of me," he muttered. "Fine. Explains why you're here. And why are you not upset about... that?" He waved a hand after Sam.
"Don't misunderstand me," Gabriel said, his perpetual smirk dropping for a moment. "I'm furious about this. I didn't want this for him. But you know how Sam is. I couldn't talk him out of it."
Bobby was silent for a moment. That sounded like Sam. "Boy's been running into burning buildings since he was a kid," he said quietly.
"Yes he has," Gabriel agreed. He was quiet for a moment. "I'll do whatever I can to help him. It may not be much, now that this has happened, but I'll do what I can."
Bobby was quiet for a few moments, surveying him. Then he nodded once sharply.
"They're still idjits," he grumbled, pouring a little whiskey into the other glass and holding it out to Gabriel. |
"Indeed they are," Gabriel agreed, taking the glass. "And yet we still care." He grinned and took a drink. "Good stuff."
Bobby grunted. "I have some around sometimes." He shook his head a bit but didn't comment other than that. This was going to take some getting used to.
Gabriel grinned and waved a hand. An bottle of excellent whiskey appeared on a shelf.
"A gift," he said. "I figure you'll need it eventually, may as well give you some good stuff." |
"With those boys, I always need some," Bobby grumbled.
Gabriel just snorted a bit and took another drink of whiskey.
"Well, Cas has his hands full with Dean," he said. "I'll look after Sam. We can't do too badly, with a nephilim and a cambion around to help some." |
"That sounds like a recipe for disaster," Bobby said dryly. "Can't see that ending well."
"Oh, I don't know," Gabriel replied. "Managed to stop another apocalypse." He grinned a bit.
Bobby snorted but didn't say anything else for now.
Gabriel sat there with him for a while longer.
"I should get back," he said, setting down the glass and standing up. "Shouldn't leave them unattended for too long." |
