Sherlock is jealous? That surprised Abby. Like normal people jealous?
Yes, pacing the room, scowling at nothing, the whole thing. John paused. Well, this as close to normal person jealous as he gets, anyway.
Fascinating. I didn't know he did that. Abby grinned a bit. But no, he doesn't have to worry. Elena just goes shooting with Lestrade, nothing else.
Good, I'll let him know. John paused for a moment. You know, the fact that he is jealous is telling.
Elena rants at me about him. Apparently he's infuriating, condescending, brilliant, and unfairly good-looking. Abby couldn't help but grin.
John tried hard not to laugh. Seems like our roommates have issues.
Looks like it. They need to get together already.
I think so. I think they're both too stubborn to admit it. John shook his head. Go figure.
Abby grinned.
You're right. They need to get their heads on straight about each other. Maybe we should set them up somehow. |
I think we should. How I'm not quite sure. Sherlock can be dense as anyone for all that he's a genius. John rolled his eyes.
No kidding. Abby thought about it for a moment. Well, next time a case comes up, tell him you already have plans with me. Force him to take Elena with him.
We'll see how that goes. He has a case at the moment he's working on, when he needs to do the footwork I'll point him at her. John grinned. That would be entertaining.
Sounds like a plan. We could have plans on standby, so you don't have to lie about it. Abby was already running through a few tentative ideas in her head that they could pull together on a moment's notice.
We could go see a movie. Holiday shopping, I need to get some of that done, actually. Or ice skating. John was also trying to think of other good excuses for them, in case they did actually get to go out.
Shopping would be a good last-minute plan. And skating would be fun. Abby thought for a moment. You know, maybe we could take a weekend and go somewhere. Skip out of London for a couple days.
That would be great. Anywhere in particular you want to go? John actually was perfectly fine with leaving London for a few days. Hopefully it would get Sherlock off his ass and over to Elena to sort things out.
Not in particular, unless we wanted to head to Scotland. That was definitely appealing, at least to Abby, and it would get them away for a few days so Sherlock and Elena could hash things out. Win-win.
We could go to Scotland, I wouldn't mind. John grinned a bit.
Done, we're taking a weekend to go to Scotland. Abby grinned. I never thought I'd be able to say anything like that.
John laughed a bit. Traveling between countries is much easier here. We should be able to just get on a train.
Oh good. It's a pain to cross borders from the States. So we should plan this thing, put together a weekend trip. I've always wanted to see Scotland. Now Abby was kind of excited.
I can get time whenever is a good time for you, John told her. Trains run pretty regularly, I can look up the schedule. Just pick a couple days.
Abby grinned.
Wait for Sherlock to need a partner. I can be ready to leave, so we can go as soon as you tell him we've got plans. |
Should be either today or tomorrow, since he's got a new case. John grinned. He won't believe it until we're gone.
Too bad for him. He'll learn. Abby stretched a bit. I'll pack a bag and be ready to go. Good thing this weekend is free.
