Davir felt the pillow hit his face and for some odd reason he was annoyed at that, probably because his mood at been sour for months since that day. Using magic to lift the pillow up he tossed it back randomly to hit either one as it landed hitting Maurice in the face. Davir stayed silent, he wanted to mention that it was not a good idea to annoy him right now, but he stayed calm for the most part.

"Oh now that's new, I'm important to you?" he said with a bit of an accent and attitude combined as if he didn't believe a word that was said "Never mind, I came back to visit this silly little town in order to find the boy I once fell in love with so long ago. I guess I should have just stayed on that beach in the other dimension" to him at least it would be more distracting and less stressful, though he was only stressed because he wanted to hug (embrace) Gage.

"You know, I do wish to know something first, what did you ever do to that bracelet I made for you, and left on the window seal?" he asked adding "It was specially carved in metal" he wondered if the boy let it sit out in the rain and let the reason it was made fade away with it, it might not ever rust, but mistreating a gift was something Davir hated.

Kat Dakuu 03-19-2014 03:53 AM

"You're really an idiot, Davir!" Gage yelled as he stood up. "Are you trying to tell me that you're not in love anymore because I..." He lifted his long sleeve away to reveal the bracelet right where it had been since the day Davir left it. He kept it hidden because their relationship was forbidden, but that didn't mean the gift wasn't special to him. Gage struggled to express how he felt in words. He was not good at this kind of talking. He took a step toward Davir and might have hit him, but Maurice grabbed him by the back of the shirt and pulled him back to the bed.

Maurice pushed his way between the two boys and held up his hands to silence both of them. He was the outsider here and older, so it gave him the perspective he needed to intervene before these two said anything they would regret. He cared about Gage, so he never wanted to see that happen. "You don't know how hard it's been on Gage since you left, Davir and being snarky isn't going to win him back. You're both moronic kids fighting over a misunderstanding." He turned to bore holes into Davir with intense eyes. "Gage is madly in love with you and has been since the day we met!"

Immy 03-19-2014 01:09 PM

"One I never said that, I never did say I wasn't in love with you anymore, now that would be a lie. Last I checked, I finished my training as early as possible to come take you back, I have to care to win you back" Davir responded going quiet when he saw the bracelet, he was certain the boy left it on the outside window seal in the weather. Knowing that he only trained so he could return to Gage, Davir waited for their answer, this argument was getting tiresome. He already knew that Gage didn't have the booklet anymore to contact him like they used to. When he didn't get any replies he knew why and figured it had to of been thrown away. Staying silent with Maurice, he still didn't like him, and wondered what it was besides that day to make Davir not feel comfortable around him. "Fine, if it's such a damn misunderstand, would anyone care to explain what you mean by that?" Davir asked waiting for a response.

Kat Dakuu 03-19-2014 07:22 PM

"I-I'm what?!" Gage sputtered, trying to deny the confession of love that Maurice gave for him. He felt awkward over the word love. He knew he constantly thought about Davir, but did that constitute love? He didn't know enough about love to find an answer to his hearts troubles. A loud sigh escaped Gage as he fell back onto the bed and dropped his head. He didn't even know where to start explaining this whole mess.

"It's all my fault. My family has rules to only mate with other shape shifters. I thought that if I pushed you away...you'd forget about me and move on. When you said goodbye in the cafe, I was so sure you didn't want to see me again. I thought maybe I succeeded and you didn't care about me anymore." Gage took a deep breath in order to continue. "Maurice and I used the cover of dating to investigate our family's secrets. We don't actually like each other! You never needed to win me back because it's only been you Davir!"

Immy 03-19-2014 08:08 PM

Davir shook his head after listening to Gage "If correct I didn't say I was going to 'win' you back, but more of 'take' you back though knowing it doesn't matter anymore, I am not sure exactly what to say" he still didn't like Maurice, but that's because they had been together (Maurice and Gage) this whole time during his training and he was jealous. "Alright so my training has come to an end, you two appear together to keep things calm, and should I even ask about the family secrets thing?" he wondered if this was the right place to talk about this sort of stuff, but out in the open wouldn't be good idea. Wouldn't someone hear the if they continued. Davir had it in his mind to turn invisible as soon as that door would open or be knocked on as caution.

Kat Dakuu 03-19-2014 08:31 PM

Gage sighed and shook his head at Davir's words. "I'd really love to explain things to you, but I don't know if now is the best time. My parents have some kind of meeting planned for tonight and I think there will a knock at the door any second now if all this yelling hasn't already alerted them that something is off." He sighed again. Talking about the secret here was probably a very stupid idea, but he got emotional and forgot to care about things like that. "You should probably leave, Davir. I'll come to the graveyard when I can and we can talk then. Is that okay? Please don't be upset with me or Maurice..." he added and a nervous glance at his door.

Immy 03-19-2014 08:42 PM

Davir sighed he could never be upset with Gage even if he couldn't fully be with him in the future. "It's alright, I'll be living back here for awhile anyways, my sisters want me to take them trick-or-treating on Halloween night again. I'll know when either of you decide to go the graveyard, I've gotten better with my powers now" Davir spoke standing up away from the wall adding "And if they ask about the yelling, tell them you didn't hear nothing, and you two were together" that should distract the parents for a bit. Davir looked at his dragon as it flew out of the window turning into it's original size waiting for it's master. "Oh and excuse me Maurice" he said not sure why he bothered with politeness, but being rude wasn't going to help the situation. Davir kissed Gage on the forehead as he whispered "ich liebe dich" meaning 'I love you' in another language and then jumped out of the window "If you need me, you know how to contact me" he said throwing a new magical pad on the desk leaving them and heading out for a flight.

Kat Dakuu 03-21-2014 02:33 AM

Gage offered his best attempt at a smile as he could before Davir left. He didn't know what the parting words he left were, but they made Gage's heart flutter because of the tone. "Good bye..." He stood still another minute after Davir left, aware that he should do something besides stare, but unable to move. Finally Maurice brushed his arm.

"We should be getting downstairs about now, eh? Before your parents think we're up to something besides talking up here," he chuckled with a seductive tone. Gage rolled his eyes and groaned in response. All it took was one joke and his mood lifted. He could survive one little meeting and then he'd get to see Davir again. Now that he had time to process things, he realized how happy he was. Swatting at Maurice and missing, Gage headed down the stairs to the kitchen where they always had meetings.

"Whatever you say, Maurice. We both know I'm not your type."

Immy 03-24-2014 06:39 PM

Davir met up with a few of his friends he had originally heard were on vacation visiting the small town again. He had made it his choice to hang out with them for awhile hopefully to make time go by faster, they couldn't stay long though as they left to go home, and he wondered if maybe the mall would be a good place. Though that only made him remember the time he saw Gage listening to music at the mall in the store where others didn't see him. He did't mind the graveyard or the path to it, but that was the same place they met first. So almost everyone they had visited in this small little town, it was bigger than described, but to him it seemed very small when he was trying to think of a place to go that he didn't hang with Gage at.

Kat Dakuu 03-25-2014 05:10 AM

The meeting wasn't what Gage expected, though he didn't have a lot of expectation going in. He stared wide eyed at his family as his mother's words became clear.

"As I'm sure you're now aware, the bride's parents traditionally start the marriage proceedings by offering a gift to the groom's. It's already been many months and you two are so happy together. We would like to advance things. Take this and give it to Maurice's father when you return the the main house," he mother said as she pushed a medium sized box into his hands. They were so close to solving the mystery and Davir finally returned. Gage couldn't get married now. He tried to push the box back even as he realized he couldn't flat out refuse or his parents would get suspicious.

"I'm sorry, but I'm not ready yet..."

"It's okay. Keep it and take your time. It is my gift to give, but yours to say when. My sweet son, you've grown up so beautiful. If only you could see yourself....I love you."

Gage shied away from her tender touch though. He stashed the gift in his room and ran out of the house the first chance he got. It was late, not that he cared. He didn't bother with his bat form and just ran for the graveyard. He promised to tell Davir everything that was going on and he intended to keep to that.

Immy 03-25-2014 04:24 PM

Davir was sitting on a tree branch playing with his magic even though he shouldn't, he could use it, he just couldn't use a lot of it. Not to tire him out or anything, but if he really wanted to live a peaceful life then he had to watch his magic levels. He had gotten tired waiting for Gage, he wasn't even sure if he was being forgotten about or not; Davir wouldn't let him win, Maurice that is, sure there was nothing between Maurice and Gage, but he was still quite jealous about it.

Kat Dakuu 03-27-2014 03:58 AM

Gage made it to the graveyard after an unreasonable amount of time. He should have just flown, but walking was surprisingly relieving his stress, as was dodging danger. His mood was too foul to be bothered by people yelling at him, telling him to watch where the hell he was walking. After thirty minutes, he pushed open the gate to the graveyard and strode over the soft ground without a care for paths or flat gravestones he stepped on. "Are you here, Davir?" he called out.

Immy 03-27-2014 12:30 PM

Stopping his magic he was creating not sure why he would wait this long, maybe it was false hope, but hell he would go along with it if it meant talking to Gage again without anyone else being there. Davir jumped off the branch hearing Gage calling for him "Yea I'm here" he said landing on the ground then stood walking over towards Gage. He walked over to be near him, not to make sure he wouldn't know his way or lose his footing, well that too, but he figured Gage already knew the place pretty well. "I know you can't tell me things, but how did the meeting go?" if he didn't know anything, it was probably best, though he felt a little hurt by it, who wouldn't?

Kat Dakuu 03-28-2014 01:06 AM

A faint smiled drifted over Gage's face as he heard Davir respond. Good, so he was still here. Gage felt comforted by that at least. He didn't know what to expect, or if Davir might leave again if made to wait that long. He felt around a little until he found a stone bench covered in pine needles. Sweeping those away, he sat down. "The meeting...well...." he trailed off and swallowed hard before he forced himself to continue. "I don't think you really want to know about, but I won't lie if you really do want to know everything. Out here...it should be safe to talk about everything. Maurice is still back at the house and running damage control no doubt, so no one could have followed me."

Immy 03-28-2014 01:51 AM

"Maybe we should make sure on that" Davir said not sure if he believed whether or not no one followed Gage out here. "Gao, go for a flight" Davir spoke saying the basic thing Gao understood and that was to watch over his master, Davir, while he talked alone with Gage. This way Gao would tell him automatically if someone was near or scare them away by casting large shadows on the ground while staying invisible. "Gao is out there just in case" Davir sat next to Gage, but kept his distance a bit "So what 'was' the meeting about or is that something you can't tell me?" he asked not sure if Gage could tell him, maybe it was apart of the other secrets he had.

Kat Dakuu 03-28-2014 02:05 AM

Gage still hesitated to speak openly, though it had nothing to do with fear of being followed, but rather of whom he spoke to. To stall a little longer, he asked a question that had been on his mind. "Who or what exactly is Gao? I can sense him, but I'm a little confused..." He trailed off with a little sigh. "As for the meeting, it was about marriage. A total mockery of sanity. It's not like we'll go through with it, but now's not really a good time to say no. Honesty Davir, I intend to tell you everything. It's just going to take a while so I hope you're comfortable."

Immy 03-28-2014 02:12 AM

"Gao is my pet dragon, he can be the size of a ... well like a cat or such and appear invisible to others, or seem like a totally different pet when he gets smaller. Not like I care who sees him, who really will go up against a several ton dragon that can't be killed with magic or any other means" well so far, Davir knew alot about his pet, and that's why he chose him during his training. Though it wasn't easy training Gao let alone get the dragon to listen to him. Hearing the word Marriage made Davir tense up and asked trying to stay a bit calm from jealousy...and something else he couldn't figure out. "And how do you think you can avoid this? I remember your mother, I doubt she would let that pass" he said remembering how she reacted.

Kat Dakuu 03-28-2014 02:25 AM

Chuckling, Gage shook his head at the idea of a pet dragon. Davir never ceased to amaze him with the magical things he was involved with. And to think, Gage once thought dragons were just legend. It seemed way back down the family line, others had been capable of taking such impressive shapes though. Gage fumbled until he felt Davir's leg and he rested his hand there. He could sense the tenseness in the other boy and it made him tense as well. He hoped some touch would comfort both of them. "We don't exactly have the most long term of plans. I mean, no one expected marriage to get sprung on us so soon. My family isn't really bad. This is the way we've been raised and I'm sure the rules were made for a reason that might have been good in the past. Once I figure out all the why's, maybe things can change."

Immy 03-28-2014 02:51 AM

"Maybe they just like tradition" Davir spoke thinking if they were so keen on tradition, hell he could be alot worse with it when it came down to things. Tradition in his family was all about loving who you wish...though it would always end badly somehow with a death or such, or even the two ran off. Which was why his father wasn't around right now nor his mother. Davir couldn't help to get close to Gage, it had been so long, and all he wanted to do was hold the other boy. Davir placed an arm carefully around Gage's shoulders leaning them both against each other. "When it comes down to it, I've told myself, no matter who you are with, I will always get you back. It was the only way I survived my training over these last few months, I've even gotten stronger" Davir spoke adding "I don't know if your family believes in this, but in most cases involving families. Tradition would state that if there were ever two people who loved one, basically a love triangle, a battle would start, and the strongest one to win or survive would get the one they desired. This would be good for both sides, though I think it's only a were-pack thing, but I do know my family follows it as well"

Kat Dakuu 03-29-2014 04:40 AM

For a second, Gage leaned against Davir and accepted the comfort. When he heard his words though, Gage gently pulled back. Not far, but he moved enough that Davir's arm slipped away from his shoulder. "I don't know why you're talking this way. Battling over love? It's wrong. If you love someone, you should let them choice who they want to be with and not intervene. Hurting someone for the sake of love...I'm sure that's why my family is in the position it is in now!" he exclaimed. Shaking his head, Gage nervously played with his bracelet. "Everything I've read in the great library speaks of sacrifice for the sake of love. It's gone too far, but if it had not been this way, our people would all be dead."

Immy 04-03-2014 12:31 AM

"So what is wrong with your family mixing with another that is not like you?" Davir wanted to ask what was wrong with mages altogether, but he didn't as he kept silent about it. Now Davir felt like he was being childish and silly for thinking that way. "Sorry" he mumbled looking up at the sky wondering what they should talk about, he wasn't good bringing up any subjects, and didn't want to ask something stupid like 'how was your day' or something like that. Though all he could think about was "How did your summer go?" he wanted to know if Gage had fun or not during the summer rather than something boring.

Kat Dakuu 04-03-2014 09:06 PM

Gage just shrugged his shoulder. He didn't have much of an answer even though he wished he did. "I don't know exactly what the problem is. Something in our ancient history," he murmured. He felt his shoulders sag as he thought about how much he still didn't know. Maybe he never would. He leaned against Davir when he heard the other's apology. There was no reason for sorrys now, especially not from Davir, but saying as much probably wouldn't change anything. Gage happily switched to menial conversation considering their current talk seemed to be only stressing them. "I finally got out of this town for the first time. Somewhere wild and open where animals can range away from people. It's quite nice, but I miss the mall...and the cafe."

Immy 04-08-2014 01:05 PM

"Why don't you go back to the mall? Doesn't your family still go on their outings like when we met around that time?" Davir asked leaning his head against Gage's overly happy they could be at least this close. Loving the way they were together in the graveyard he enjoyed his time waiting for the other's response remembering all he went through just to come back and so called 'kidnap' Gage for himself.

Kat Dakuu 04-12-2014 03:27 AM

Gage nodded his head slowly. "The family still goes, though not as often as before. B-because I missed you so much...I stopped going with them. I kept getting too hopeful that I would hear your voice," he whispered, hating the way his voice hitched. If he couldn't touch Davir like this, he would have panicked. He loved to hear the other boy's voice, but it didn't become real for him until they could touch. Words could be a dream, but he couldn't conjure the feeling of Davir's head leaning against him. This was real. "I missed you so much."

Immy 05-02-2014 08:19 PM

Davir took one of Gage's hands within his linking their fingers together "So did I, Gage. I kept trying to come back, but my uncle wouldn't let me until I was finished with my training" now Davir was on his own, as far as training was concerned. "How is your sister doing?" Davir asked keeping the conversation going afraid if they ran out of things to say that one of them would have to go. Davir didn't really have anywhere else to go for the day or night, he had a few things he could do in the meantime, but till then he would rather be here with Gage.
