" I mean I can communicate with well made tech but never with badly done tech. Not that I'm saying anything you have designed is bad. " Andrea said having a feeling this wasn't working. She didn't want to do this but knew it might take time for Leanna, Skye and Grant to find her.

"So...what are we going to do to get Andrea back?" Skye asked Scott. He was the one, besides Andrea, that knew Darren Cross the most here.

"First we let Hank know about this. Though I don't know if he or Hope are going to help. It's been super quiet. If not , I know a few guys that could help. " Scott said as they walked.

Anne paced the living room of the apartment. She had recived a phone call from one of her contacts and then a call about Andrea. It was hard to focus and knew Nick and Phil would be here soon to talk with her and Roger. " Roger, do you think we should call an old friend to help us? " She asked and though of Hank Pym, though was doubtful if he would help.

"Well then, let's go," Grant said, knowing that they couldn't do anything just standing around doing nothing.

"I think we should. He might not like us for calling him out of the blue like that, but...it's our daughter" Roger said, knowing what she was going through.

" Though we might have to explain why we both are alive. And don't worry I have his number. " Anne said and dialed. She made sure the phone was on speaker so Roger could hear as well. Anne wanted to know who took Andrea and was ready to make that person pay.

"So...why does Darren Cross of all people want your sister/friend to help with his technology?" Scott asked. He was going to go ahead and call Hope after hearing what they had to say. He knew that she would be more willing to listen to him then Hank would.

" Andrea is a technopath. Which means she can communicate with various types of technological devices. " Skye explained. " That and she turned down a job offer from him and she said she was always wary of his interest in her." She added not sure if she should mention the timeshifting.

Andrea tried to keep focused but still was afraid. She never knew why Darren Cross had been interested in her and knew it was more than her being a technopath. She just hoped he didn't know about her timeshifting ability, since SHIELD didn't have that in her files.

"I see. Darren Cross always did come off as a pompous prick if you ask me, but for him to do something like this..." Scott said before pressing a button on his phone before hitting send. He had already placed Hope's number into speed dial and was now waiting for her to pick up.

" Glad you called. " Hope said and was watching her dad on the phone.

Scott explained what happened, and was hoping that she and/or father would be willing to help, despite them being Agents from SHIELD.

" Sounds terrible. " Hope said and remembered Andrea Carpenter from that convention in Sacramento two years ago. " I'm willing to help. Can't tell if my father is." Hope said and wondered who her father was talking to.

"Thanks love," Scott said with a grin before saying his good-byes.

"Do we have help?" Skye asked and hoped that they did.

" Are you going to help us Hank? I promise I won't let SHIELD in on it that you are , except for Coulson and Fury. Only because they have agreed to provide any needed resources that might be needed. I might be able to do that as well. " Anne said.

" Can I rest? I haven't been feeling well since I arrived. " Andrea said and had to sleep. She had timeshifted at least three times already and it was making it hard to focus.

"We do. At least from my girlfriend," Scott replied as he put his phone back in his pocket. "So Lea...you got yourself a girlfriend I see, I'm impressed."

"And what is that suppose to mean?" Leanna asked heatedly as she was about to reach behind her for the secret pistol she hid there.

"...Fine, but only because it's you and Roger. And I owe you. But after this is over, we're even alright?" Hank asked over the phone.

"I may have kidnapped you, but I'm not inhumane. Of course you can sleep," Darren said as he opened the door for her. "Those guards outside will take you to your room and won't bother you until you wake up. Though if you sleep in until after 1300 I will send them in to wake you for oversleeping."

" Alright. Sounds like a deal. " Anne said. " Thank you Hank this means so much to Roger and myself. I'll let my contacts in San Francisco know you are helping. " She said and heard a knock on the door.

"I'm just surprised that's all. " Scott said and didn't want to pick a fight with Leanna. " How did you and Andrea meet?"

Andrea nodded and carfully walked to the room. " Too bad I can't use this to escape. I just hope he doesn't suspect that something is off about me. "She thought and laid on the bed before quickly falling asleep.

"You're welcome," Hank replied. "But I'm only doing it because it's your daughter, you understand that, right?

"I was hired to kill her actually," Leanna said with a light laugh as she explained how she first met Andrea Carpenter and Black Widow.

" I do understand. " Anne said. " I need to go. Phil and Nick are here and I promise not to mention that you are helping. Besides , they always find out , just like Baskin Robbins does. "

"Really? HYDRA right? Don't give me that look. I heard things in San Quentin about HYDRA and who worked for them. Your name might have come up. "Scott said.

"Well...I had my reasons at the time, and before you ask, no I'm not going to tell you," Leanna replied as she kept her anger under control...for now.

" Alright I won't. " Scott said. " So what did you two do before being SHEILD agents?" Scott asked Skye and Grant.

" I was a hacktivist for the Rising Tide. Was caught by SHIELD and eventually became an agent. " Skye said with a grin.

" Doctor Cross you might want to see this. " One of the guards who had been monitoring Andrea said. He had noticed small disturbances in the footage and knew his boss would want to see this.

"I'd rather not talk about it," Grant admitted. With everything that his family did to him, especially his older brother, he wanted to keep that part of him where it belonged: in the past.

"Hm?" Darren asked as he took a look at what the guard was looking at. "What am I looking for? All I see is disturbances in the camera. Couldn't this just be...no, it can't be a malfunction. So...what is it...?" He asked himself as he thought of what was going on. Having a hypothesis, he asked the guard to pull up other footage of Andrea.

Scott nodded. "Sometimes it's the present that matters and moving forward. " He said knowing that was what he was trying to do with being a hero and a good or father for Cassie.

The guard pulled more footage of Andrea on the screen. Some were from before she had started working for SHIELD and others were from video taken from SHIELD property. " Looks like she might have another ability sir." He said.

"I'm starting to think you're on to something here Johnson. The only ability that I can think of is that it manipulates time somehow. Though how we can test it I have no idea..." Darren said after viewing multiple screenings of Andrea. Though if she did have an ability that manipulated time...he could use that to work her longer, assuming it had no side effects.

"I guess being a real father has changed you, and for the better," Leanna replied with a light smile. "Now then...we've wasted enough time here already. Scott, you or your ant buddies have a private place where we can talk shop?" she asked.

"Well ,I could meet you guys at the Pym residence , because I have a feeling the sooner we do the better.

" That would work. " Skye said and took a look at her phone. " Mom said Dr. Pym is willing to help us. Phil says he's on his way with the Bus will be on standby."

" Phil are you sure it's a good idea for your team to go to San Fran ? I promised someone that SHIELD keep it's distance. " Anne said not wanting to say Hank was helping them.

Andrea woke up feeling a little better and remembered that she was Darren Cross' prisoner. "I have to be more careful than I have been. I can't let him find out. " She thought and heard footsteps coming toward her.
