Mmmm, yeah - I can understand that. I broke down and got an iPhone 4S last summer before I left for school, and it takes pretty decent photos. My camera takes better photos than my phone, but in a pinch, my camera takes decent ones. :)

True, but I've come so close to quitting many times. :/ Plus I don't even know what I'll be doing with the degree when I do get it. D:

ElysiumFate 05-04-2014 11:19 PM

I just don't want to pay for a massive data plan. I want a smartphone that I can just use wireless on when I have it.

It's the end that counts no matter how tiresome the journey, I say. I'm sure you'll find something. Might have to move to a big city to do it, but translators of all types are needed.

CloudDreamer 05-04-2014 11:21 PM

Yeah, it is a bother - but it's better than a phone that keeps dying on your as my old phone used to. [yes] It is nice at school because I'm on wireless a lot. [yes] So that helps.

Thing is I am not going for teaching or translating. [yes] Never those two. Not really for me.

ElysiumFate 05-04-2014 11:27 PM

Oh for sure. I adore brick phones because they have humongous battery lives. My current phone has a standby battery life of seven days or more. If I'm using it it still lasts for at least three without needed a single charge. I have an iTouch that I sometimes carry around to access wireless, etc.

Hmmm, then I dunno. Do you have anything you're leaning towards career wise? If you don't that's fine, I'm just askin'.

CloudDreamer 05-04-2014 11:45 PM

True, they do have good battery lives. And O.o Woah, that's crazy! [yes]

Nope, I don't really. I used to think interpreter. But honestly that isn't for me. The program is CRAZY hard and competitive to get into and you aren't even guaranteed to get in. D:

ElysiumFate 05-05-2014 12:19 AM

It is crazy. I couldn't believe the battery life on that thing when I first got it. The reviews said it was good but I thought they lied a tad. [lol]

*nods* I know how that goes. I think that good careers are far too difficult to get into.

CloudDreamer 05-05-2014 12:21 AM

AT least it lived up to the reviews that it said that it would have! [yes]

They are, but I really can't see myself being an interpreter. xD So yeah. Who knows. xD

ElysiumFate 05-05-2014 12:37 AM

I'm sure you can find work for that somewhere. And if you don't want to do that you'll find something else. ^.^

Anyway, how was your day?

CloudDreamer 05-05-2014 12:39 AM

Yeah - I'll find something, eventually.

My day has been pretty good. I've been procrastinating on doing homework, and stuff, but it's not too much I have left to do, so thankfully it shouldn't take me too long. :) How has your day been?

ElysiumFate 05-05-2014 12:42 AM

It's been fine. I've been somewhat procrastinating, but I had my work for this semester done a few weeks ago soooo, I dunno. I'm just editing my paper. Deciding if I want to change anything. Stuff like that.

CloudDreamer 05-05-2014 12:52 AM

I wish I had all of what I needed for the semester done, I still have a 5 page paper due Friday, and then a 8 page paper due the Friday after that. As well as making sure I have all my journals for my Women Studies class completed and all the books read (by a week from tomorrow). I think that's all I have left to do - after the project that I have to finish that if I focus on, I should have it done in an hour. :)

When's your paper due? :)

ElysiumFate 05-05-2014 01:10 AM

I have a 20 or so page report due tomorrow, then Thursday is a 20 page or so story. Next Monday is a take home test. However, I've done most of the work ahead of time.

CloudDreamer 05-05-2014 01:11 AM

Oh, those are long papers, and stories. At least you've gotten most of the work done ahead of time. :]

ElysiumFate 05-05-2014 01:14 AM

Yeah, I had to get it done because of deadlines, so now I'm kinda sitting around wondering what to do with myself.

---------- Post added 05-04-2014 at 07:14 PM ----------

I don't really mind long papers. Writing is my thing.

CloudDreamer 05-05-2014 01:14 AM

Haha, yeah! The good feeling of not being too stressed, but the feeling of "mmmm, ok, what now?"

ElysiumFate 05-05-2014 01:16 AM

Yeah, and I'm a tad worried that my one paper is not as good as I think it is. I'm just double and triple checking it to make sure.

CloudDreamer 05-05-2014 01:20 AM

[hug] Hopefully it's fine. I always am the same way with papers, freaking out that it's not as good as it should be. [yes]
That's nice that you have time to check and double and triple check. :)

ElysiumFate 05-05-2014 01:22 AM

I'm kinda at the point of not giving anymore darns about it. I mean, I obviously want to do well, but I don't really want to mess with it anymore.

CloudDreamer 05-05-2014 01:27 AM

I totally know how that is!! [yes] You care, but at the same time, you don't. [yes] I'm sure that you did fine. :)

ElysiumFate 05-05-2014 01:31 AM

*nods* I've got quite a bit of extra credit in that class, so even if I flub some I hope that that will cushion it.

---------- Post added 05-04-2014 at 07:31 PM ----------

Now I'm just waiting for Game of Thrones to come out.

CloudDreamer 05-05-2014 01:32 AM

Nice! Hopefully that'll help some! I wish that my classes offered extra credit!

I may be slow with responses, as I'm starting to try to get myself to work on this project that I want to have done tonight. :)

ElysiumFate 05-05-2014 01:35 AM

This is the most extra credit I've ever been offered for one course. I used to never do it, but now I do it all whether or not I feel like it or need to.

That's fine. :)

CloudDreamer 05-05-2014 01:37 AM

You never know when it'll come in handy - having extra credit. Gives you a little bit of a buffer just in case something goes wrong or whatnot with things. [yes]

Well, I thought I Was going to finish putting it all together - and then I got distracted by food. [lol]

ElysiumFate 05-05-2014 01:42 AM

Lol. Food is the best distraction.

It is freakishly quiet in my room and it's creeping me out.

CloudDreamer 05-05-2014 01:43 AM

It really is! I broke down and ordered chinese take out for dinner tonight. So good! [drool] Our cafeteria has alright food, but there is something about having something that you can't get there at the cafeteria. [yes] Plus getting to eat at home. xD HAH!

I hate it when it's freakishly quiet. That's when I turn on music or something for background noise.
