No, I just have finals this week. Plus I have the move-out stress that i'll be dealing with Friday as I attempt to load my stuff and get out of the dorms.

Bleh. This week blows. *pokes your tummy*

CloudDreamer 05-07-2014 03:32 PM

That's me too! I have to write a 5 page paper by Friday, an 8 page paper and hand it in in person by 4 pm a week from Friday, and finish up journals and readings for a class for next Monday. And then pack and clean and move out by the 17th (in the morning). XD

At least I already have one class finished, so that's a plus for sure! :)

So I can relate to the stress for sure!! [yes]

ElysiumFate 05-07-2014 07:45 PM

Blech. I would join the conversation but I have nothing to add.

Gotta finish editing my short story tonight and turn it in tomorrow.

Ling 05-07-2014 08:53 PM

@APBCole

I didn't have many friends when I was in uni (I only recently graduated)...and my uni life was purely just classes and the students I talked to were people I talked to in class discussions or when working on group assessments.

but I suspect, judging from what you've mentioned about him alone, is that he's probably too full of himself, has an inflated ego, tall poppy syndrome...the fact that he has a trophy probably justifies (in his mind) the attitude that "oooh look at me I'm better than everyone else and I refuse to listen to what anyone else says even though it is more reasonable because I have a trophy to prove it"

People like that do not get along with others in any situation where they're not in a position of power.

ElysiumFate 05-08-2014 12:08 AM

It's best to just ignore people who are like that, Cole. They're not worth your time, and the faster you get them out of your life the less toxic they will be to you in the long run.

The good thing about college is that there are literally so many people there that if you wish to disappear into the crowd and/or from someone's life it is quite easy to do so. Don't give the boy the time of day if you can help it. You are not obligated to feel like shit for anyone.

APBCole 05-08-2014 12:14 AM

Ah, Ling, you're such an understanding person.

I even told him explicility that I don't do films for a job. The fact I don't treat it as a job allows me leniency and be more open with things. It doesn't limit my creativity. Typically, most things you want to do in life, shouldn't be treated as a job so that you get enjoyment out of it. Clearly, it's the wrong thing to do and I should do films as a grind.

My close friend and I are the same in mentality in that we do films because we love them and enjoy them. Not because we want them as a job. Though, yes, I will be working in the film industry but it won't be in a way that is detrimental to my day to day experience.

As I said: I'm the underdog. I got more breathing room and no one knows my true potential. It's good because no one has any serious expectation about me yet.

@Ely: Thanks but it'll be hard to ignore him if I ever go to any film related events as i'm sure he'll be there. Luckily, he'll be graduating as of next year so I will only be dealing with him for half of my college career.

*pokes your cheek*

ElysiumFate 05-08-2014 12:28 AM

Still, you don't have to interact with him when you go to those events. It's his problem he's psychotic, not yours.

*pokes your arm*

APBCole 05-08-2014 12:49 AM

You have a point. I also have made a video response for your video thread in GD but it's uploading now. I filmed it on my DSLR but it's out of focus so i'm like "Fuck it. I am not reshooting again".

*pokes your forehead*

ElysiumFate 05-08-2014 12:52 AM

Any response is good, Mr. Cole. :)

Yeah, I've had a lot of psychotic people in my life. The only way I've ever been able to deal with them is to not deal with them at all. It's kind of a cold lesson, but one of the best and hardest things I've learned in life is that you are not obligated to give a shit about anyone. Especially those who do not care about you.

*pokes your leg*

APBCole 05-08-2014 12:54 AM

Haha. Sure......

I've been dealt pretty bad comes when it comes to life. Not the first potential person who I think seems nice but turns out to be psychotic in my life. I guess we both have that part in common.

*pokes your tummy*

ElysiumFate 05-08-2014 01:03 AM

This is Mene. Minimal video effort is required. [lol]

Yeahhhhhh. I've had a few. But I do admit it doesn't take a lot for me to think someone's nuts before I just stop paying attention to them. I got to the point where if I see crazy coming I just start running.

*pokes your bellybutton*

APBCole 05-08-2014 01:08 AM

True. True.

You're more strong willed than me. Much more strong willed than me. Then again, you also are a beautiful women. :)

*pokes your shoulder*

ElysiumFate 05-08-2014 01:12 AM

Oh, don't get me wrong. It's hard as hell to ignore people who are crazy, but paying them any attention only feeds their egos. I fail a lot at ignoring them, but I try my best.

*pokes your nose*

---------- Post added 05-07-2014 at 07:12 PM ----------

On a side note, it's storming outside and sounds like heaven. <3

APBCole 05-08-2014 01:15 AM

As always, ignore the compliment. You devil women...

*pokes your lips*

It's a requirement to listen to jazz when it is storming. It's so calming.

ElysiumFate 05-08-2014 01:18 AM

Sorry, it's become habit Mr. Cole.

*sticks tongue out and flicks your forehead*

Ahh, jazz is lovely but the music of the storm is enough for me. It's so rare around here but some of my best memories are of stormy days.

CloudDreamer 05-08-2014 01:19 AM

If someone is bothering you, can't you talk to someone at your school about it?

Ely: I'm very jealous of your storm. It's... sunny as usual here. [lol]

APBCole 05-08-2014 01:20 AM

So has burning your entire collection of clothes. Didn't check your closet as of recently? I got past your guards and did what a pyro does. Burn shit.

*smacks your ass and grins*

Also, piano music is also amazing. Very calming.

@Cloud: Therapist, police officer, or adviser? I'd rather not talk to one or another and just deal with it. I'm sure I should be fine.

Unrelated note: God damn it, SyFy. How many times are you going to use Two Step From Hell in your commercials? I've counted two TSFH songs in the past week.

CloudDreamer 05-08-2014 01:21 AM

I love classical music myself. :] I listen to it when I have to write papers, or study. :)

ElysiumFate 05-08-2014 01:23 AM

Mr. Cole, if you burn the closet of every woman you meet you're going to have some serious problems. Women don't tend to like that. Unless you burn the closet of a tomboy, then they probably don't care.

*kicks your ass and runs in the other direction*

Mmmm, piano is lovely. Half my iPod is full of classics.

@Cloud: I'm sorry but I can't send the rain your way--I'm far too attached to it. :)

CloudDreamer 05-08-2014 01:23 AM

The rest of the US seems to be hogging weather from California this year. It's not fair. :P

APBCole 05-08-2014 01:26 AM

@Ely: You're the only person whose closet I am willing to burn and destroy all your clothing related possession out of love.

*coughs, injured, and lays on the ground*

Jazz/piano related music is my favorite. Also, a big part of my collection is orchestral pieces. Both film and video game related.

ElysiumFate 05-08-2014 01:27 AM

@Cloud: You guys are getting some pretty nasty droughts, aren't you?

Luckily we don't seem to be going that route this year, at least in my part of Colorado. We had that massive flooding issue last September and still have a shitton of water from it.

@Cole: Where I come from that is not how one shows affection. [t2h]

Stop being melodramatic. I did not kick you that hard. [lol]

My music collection is a mish mash of everything. I have a lot of orchestral stuff, but I've got some of everything else except for screamo.

APBCole 05-08-2014 01:31 AM

@Ely: You're from Colorado. I'm sure you get asked out on a mountains peak and then go hunting for your dinner for the date.

Once again, leaving out details. *gets up, chases after you, and tackles you to the ground, tickling you*

Well, I have some EDM as well. It's not much but it's from my favorite band. Mostly made up of Approaching Nirvana because they're an awesome duo of guys.

CloudDreamer 05-08-2014 01:36 AM

Ely: Oh yeah, it's really bad. [sweat]

That's good at least. [yes] Floods can be really scary!! [sweat]
But at least y'all got water from it!!

ElysiumFate 05-08-2014 01:39 AM

@Cole: Lolz. That would be so romantic. I think I would much rather prefer a bouquet of roses than a hunting trip, though.

I only have one ticklish spot on my body, Mr. Goodluck figuring it out. *grins at you manically and tickles you back*

I've never heard of that band, honestly. Anything with the word Nirvana in it has to be decent, though. [lol]

---------- Post added 05-07-2014 at 07:40 PM ----------

@Cloud: Ehhh. Yeah. I dunno. The floods were as bad or worse than the fires so I dunno which is better. But if we go a summer without massive fires I can deal with that so long as there are no more floods.
