Well, it was alright.
Went out to dinner for Mother's Day and watched a movie. |
What movie?
I went to an italian place called Brio in the Columbus area after my older brothers graduation. Got me some lobster bisque that lacked lobster and calamari. Calmari was good even if it was a little overly seasoned and I couldn't taste the squid much. |
"Heaven is Real" or something like that. o.>
Sounds similar to my dinner experience. We just went to an American style place and I ordered fried chicken that lacked flavor. XD |
Clark Gregg just favorited a tweet of mine. I am...my god...it's an amazing feeling when someone you admire favorites your tweet.

Hey there everyone! Gosh, I have got to stop abandoning hangouts like that.....
Applied to JoAnn's in my town today. Crossing fingers! |
@Taiyo: Good luck with that job. :)
We never forget you here, lol. You've been here too long. @Cole: Ahh, the guy who played Coulson? Very good, very good. |
:D For a moderately uneventful day, this definitely takes the cake.
Clark is such a chill guy. At least that's how he is on Twitter and interviews. |
I don't really follow any actors so I wouldn't know. It's definitely exciting to get recognized by someone like that, though.
|
I've had a small time composer respond back to me(Ian Livingstone). He does alot of composing for video games but has done film work. I mostly know his music from Company of Heroes and Codemasters F1 series and GRID series.
Clark is definitely the big time celeb who acknowledged my existence. :D |
Lol, sometimes reading your posts is like reading a foreign language since I don't know who those people are.
I never bought into the twitter thing so I've never had the pleasure of getting a celeb's attention. I wouldn't really care, either. [lol] Unless, of course, it was someone like Joseph Gordon Levitt and they wanted a date. [ninja] |
@ Fate: ^^ I still feel awkward being in here though; haven't been a student for coming up on three years now...since the university screwed me over.
|
'Ey, nobody minds, Taiyo. If you like the people who are talking in the thread just go for it. ^.^ I'm still sorry they screwed you like that. I remember that conversation.
|
Yeah, I know, and I like it here...because I like libraries! And that fiasco is how I discovered that, despite all this "financial aid", you can't go to school unless a) you fall into every "underprivileged" demographic there is or b) you're rich. Unfortunately, the demographic I fall under is the supposed "rich people" demographic. That is Caucasian, female, and not-inner-city.
|
Yeah. I've had some problems with that, too. They give me a little less financial aid per semester than I need because they think I have the rest of the money lying about somewhere.
Libraries are nice, though this one did get kinda dusty for awhile. *blows some dust off a book and sneezes* People just started talking in here again over the last month or so. |
I noticed....such a lonely little hangout....
Anyhoos, off to bed for me! Night! |

It's an awesome thing. I figure I need at least one celeb to acknowledge my existence. |
Ugh, there is something wrong with one of my shoulders. The pain is getting real old.
Lol. If celeb's validate your existence, that's cool. |
*rubs your shoulders* Do anything to your shoulders? Or is it just random joint pain out of nowhere?
Hahaha. How was today for you? Good? |
*purrs* Yeah. It's half random and half not. I played violin for about five years when I was younger and the shoulder of my bow arm is the one that gives me trouble. I say it's random because I haven't played for a couple of years but it still bothers me.
I haven't really done anything today. [oops] I'm going to go and cook a Mother's Day dinner in an hour or so and then try to clean some. How about you? |
*continues rubbing your shoulders* Violin is a sweet instrument to play. You like strings?
I haven't done much either. I've mostly been trying to work on getting back into Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas again. I'm probably going to rejoin some muiltiplayer servers. Found out I had to downgrade my Steam copys executable file to a lower version so I can mod it. Really love this game. It's so nostalgic for me. |
Mhm. :) Strings are my one true love with instruments. I love woodwind and brass, too, but would not choose them over strings. Piano is another close favorite. The violin was more of a pain in the ass to play than anything, but I miss it now that I'm not.
Did you ever take a look at that story I linked a few pages back? I've been considering picking up Skyrim again or buying an Assassin's Creed or two, but I think I'm going to focus on trying to work this summer so I kinda don't want to get into any distractions. I've never liked the Grand Theft Auto franchise. I'm sure it's a fun game and all, but it never drew me in because I love sword games more than anything. Prince of Persia is nostalgic for me. And the Rockband games, omg. |
Oh, shit. Forgot. Thanks for reminding me. I'll read it first thing tomorrow or sometime tonight.
I like the stories that the older games have. The older games make you love the characters. Not to mention GTA: SA has Samuel L. Jackson as a corrupt cop. |
That's fine, I thought you might have forgot with all the stuff you've been up to the last few days.
Omg, I actually know one of the celebrities that you mentioned! XD Samuel L. Jackson is awesome. I loved him as the conniving old butler in Django Unchained. |
Thank you for the reminder. It slipped my mind as I was busy as of friday and saturday so it slipped my mind.
He plays a corrupt cop called Tenpenny who abuses his power. A part of San Andreas story is based around the LA riots due to CRASH. It's historical to an extent. I like it though. Huge game. Well, was back when it was released. |
Hey now, don't let your mind slip. You're too young for that.
Samuel L. Jackson just likes to play corrupt characters. [lol] I never played those games because I'm not a fan of modern stories. Most everything I read, write, play, is set in the past. Of course, that story I wrote was actually set in the present. First time ever. But had I written it in the past I would've gotten docked for writing in genre fiction. |
