Tony nodded, making a note to order some textbooks for her. "That would be useful. How much have you tested? Or played around?"
"A fair amount," Paige admitted. "I've had it for a long time."
"Good." Tony nodded his satisfaction of that. "I already told Peps to expect you on Monday."
Paige blinked. Total topic change.
"Really?" she asked. "Okay. I'll be there." |
"Don't worry, she's nicer than I am," Tony said with a brief grin.
Paige grinned a bit, although she was still a little nervous about starting a job as the assistant to the CEO of Stark Industries.
Tony tilted his head when the noise level erupted in the living room.
"Sounds like one of the kids thinks Clint cheated. Which he probably did. Damn archer." |
Paige snickered a bit.
"He should be careful of that," she said. "The kids don't take too well to cheating. Ororo has a habit of clouds when she's upset." |
"If she rains in here I will be very upset," Tony said, though there was little heat behind the words.
"She knows better than rain," Paige said. "Clouds, maybe, but no rain."
"Clouds are fine," Tony said with a shrug. "Especially if she sics them on Clint, I bet he'd freak out." He grinned.
Paige rolled her eyes.
"It's Wanda he has to worry about," she said. "She's starting to come into her x-gene recently, seems she has a talent for hexing things." |
Tony cackled. "I knew there was a reason I liked the little imp," he said with a grin. "Besides the mutual Who-dom."
"Whovians," Paige accused, grinning a bit. "SuperWho? SuperWhoLock?"
"SuperWhoLock with a dash of Potter and Hannibal," Tony said with a shrug. "You can't be a fan of one without getting sucked into the other two majors."
"Fun," Paige said. "Never would have guessed there were so many nerds around here."
"Oh there's tons," Tony said with a grin. "Some of them are in the closet about it, the rest of us aren't." He waggled his eyebrows at her. "So which group are you in?"
"I try to be subtle about my geeking," Paige said, turning a bit pink. "But I firmly believe in Sherlock Holmes, Nine is my favorite Doctor, and Destiel is so canon that all they need to do at this point is admit it out loud." She paused. "And Pottermore sorted me into Slytherin."
"Destiel is practically canon, and I refuse to admit that it's not," Tony said with a snort.
"Apparently parts of the original script have Dean telling Cas he loves him," Paige offered, grinning. "It got changed at the last minute."
"Damn. I'll have to write them a letter," Tony said with a bit of a smirk.
Paige snorted.
"Oh yes because one letter can do what the entire fandom couldn't," she said, grinning. |
"No, probably not, but it'll make me feel better." Tony grinned.
Paige just rolled her eyes and leaned against the counter.
"I watch Once Upon A Time, too," she said. "And Arrow." |
"I approve of Once, haven't seen much of Arrow. The archer in my living room protests." Tony shrugged.
