Tony grumbled a bit. "Just don't touch too many things," he said, turning back to his work so he could try once more to wrangle the infuriating things into compliance.

"Wouldn't dream of it," Paige said. "I like all my fingers." She did cautiously wander around a bit, though.

Tony let her, though he did keep part of his attention on her while he worked. When he finally had a working prototype, he tested it on a dummy. The dummy went up in flames, and Dummy whirred over quite happily with the fire extinguisher.

"Finally, you actually use that for its intended uses. Useless bot."

Paige's attention was grabbed when the thing went up in flames, and she watched the bot roll over with the extinguisher.

"What, does it use it for things other than fire control?" she asked cautiously.

"He uses it for everything but fire control," Tony said with a shrug. "Yes, Dummy, good job, you put out the fire, now put the extinguisher down."

Paige grinned and snickered.

"He's adorable," she said.

"He's not supposed to be adorable, he's supposed to be a lab assistant. Not that that ever worked." Tony heaved a put-upon sigh and watched the bot go roll over to his brothers.

Paige grinned as she watched the interaction. It was clear Tony cared a lot about his robots.

"He's still adorable," she said.

Tony shook his head. "Hear that? She thinks you're cute."

Dummy just whirred happily at them.

Paige giggled a bit.

"So what else have you been working on?" she asked Tony.

"Lots of things." Tony moved over to a storage area, rummaged around in a drawer for a moment, and pulled out a bit of metal.

"Here. See what this tastes like." He held it up with a grin.

Paige blinked, but looked at the little bit of metal. Reaching out, she gently touched it with a fingertip.

"Oh wow," she said, touching it more. "Jesus, this is like the crack of metals."

Tony grinned. "That it is," he agreed. "And this is one of the only samples you'll find anywhere. Actually all the Vibranium currently in existence is in the Tower right now."

"This is the craziest metal I've ever touched," Paige said, rolling the little bit around in her palm. Her skin turned to metal where ever the piece touched, spreading slowly.

Tony just watched, grinning. Oh yes, this was fascinating just to watch.

"Just don't get too addicted, Peps gets mad when I release controlled substances to people."

Paige snorted.

"This is just texturally and molecularly interesting," she said. "It could be interesting to play with it for a while."

"Feel free." Tony grinned. "I don't have any more at the moment, though, so keep yourself entertained with that."

"Oh I will," Paige said, grinning. "This is great. It's all buzzy, kind of, at a molecular level. It's a rigid structure, almost a crystal structure, but it's... bendy. Sudden impact won't break the molecular bonds, I don't think."

"Nope," Tony said. "That substance has been stress tested in the extreme, and it's still good to go."

Paige grinned.

"Good to know," she said. She poked at the chunk of metal a little more.

Tony snorted but didn't try to take it away from her yet, instead going back over to the bracelets for Widow to work on them a bit more.

Paige managed to get her whole hand coated in the vibranium, and was flexing her fingers in interest.

"This is such a fun metal," she said, grinning.

Tony reached over and tapped her hand with a hammer, grinning at the so far quiet ring.

Paige couldn't help but laugh a bit.

"That tickles," she said, rubbing her palm a bit. "It vibrates longer than most metals do."

"Yeah, that's one of its properties. It also disperses force that way, thus why it's nearly indestructible." Tony smirked a bit.
