Desmond gently nudged her upright when it close to sunset so they could head back to the hideout for the night.
Shea made a face but got up, starting the climb back down the tower. Jumping was all well and good if the street below was lit well enough, but this one wasn't. So she climbed down.
Desmond climbed down after her, at least until they got back to the rooftop level. Then he headed for the hide out.
Shea followed, grinning as she playfully initiated a quick game of tag, tapping his shoulder and then flitting on ahead of him.
Desmond snorted and indulged her, running after her and just having fun with the little game.
Shea grinned and raced him back to the hideout. It felt good to just run for a little while. It was almost like being at home again, except the rooftops were a bit different and she wasn't wearing her hoodie.
Desmond was more relaxed by the time they got back to the hideout, still grinning as he let Shea in first.
Shea went inside, grinning and relaxed.
Ezio was already there, going over some letters on the writing desk. |
Harper was also back, although she was just sprawled out watching Ezio speculatively. She looked over when the other two came in, though.
"Have fun?" |
"Sat and people-watched for a while," Shea said as she headed for her room. "It was nice."
"Ah people-watching. The only thing more fun than that is messing with people." Harper grinned and got up. It was her turn to take care of dinner for the night, or at least she thought it was, so she was cooking. Nothing spectacular, since she wasn't used to working over an open flame, but it was food.
Shea came back out of her room, in more comfortable clothes, and grinned a bit.
"Smells good," she said. |
"Thanks." Harper grinned briefly. "It's just about done. There's also bread. Not a gourmet meal but good enough."
"I'm sure it's great," Shea said, grinning back. Even Ezio came over to investigate the meal.
Once it was done, Harper handed out plates with food, broke off a piece of bread for herself, and went to settle in and eat.
Desmond gave her a thumbs-up as he ate. |
"Very good," Ezio commented as he tried some. "You have some talent in cooking."
"Thanks. It's not much but I did live on my own for a while." Harper shrugged.
"It is still impressive," Ezio said. "Especially for one whose specialty is not cooking."
"Thanks," Harper said with a little grin. She didn't think it was anything special, bu hey, she'd take praise.
"My pleasure," Ezio said, grinning a bit flirtatiously.
Harper noticed the change and couldn't help but grin a bit. Well that was interesting.
Desmond noticed too and grinned slowly. Oh that was interesting. |
Shea blinked. That was interesting, she could have sworn that Ezio was gay for Leonardo.
Desmond leaned close to her and spoke quietly.
"He's kind of a womanizer most of the time, although not as much since he joined the Order," he murmured. "This is going to be entertaining." |
Shea smothered a cackle, although she still let out a rather unladylike snort.
"This'll be good, then," she agreed. |
"Oh very." Desmond grinned. This would be a very good spectator sport over the next while, he figured.
